I love anal toys, but other than a tail or two, it’s been a while since I’ve tried a new one. I especially like vibrating ones, and so I was thrilled to receive the Silhouette S5 vibrating plug from Cal Exotics for free as part of their Sexpert program.
The Silhouette S5 comes in 3 colors: pink, red, and purple, and I received mine in purple. It comes in a gray and white box accented with the toy color. The toy is visible through the front of the box, and the box opens magnetically from both sides. Information about the toy is on the sides of the box. Inside, resting on foam, is the S5 and a USB charging cord. Also included in the box is a general instruction booklet for Cal Exotics battery toys and a sheet with information on the S5 as well as other toys in the Silhouette line.
This toy is made of silicone, and it’s smooth with very little drag. It’s not hard – the silicone has some give when you press on it. The S5 is 4” long overall, and it’s 1 ¼” wide at its widest. The neck narrows down to about ¾” in diameter, and then the toy flares out to a 2 ¼” diameter base. With the narrow neck, the S5 stays securely in place, and even though the base is wide, it can be worn under clothing if desired. It has a rounded tip for easier insertion, and is both flexible and comfortable to wear.
The S5 is USB rechargeable, and charges in about 2 ½ hours. Once fully charged, it will run for about 50 minutes on high, and up to 3 ½ hours on low.
This vibrator has two buttons for control, located on the underside of the base. The button closest to the inside will turn the S5 on, and will also turn it off. The button closest to the outside cycles through the S5’s functions. Pressing and holding the outside button will increase the vibration strength, and pressing and holding the inside button will decrease it. The functions can be changed without changing the vibration speed. The vibrations are easy to press during use.
The S5 always starts on the first function, and on low vibration. The functions are steady vibrations, fluttery pulses, long pulses, and long/short pulse patterns. The vibrations are rumbly, strong, and fairly quiet, and they travel well all through the toy.
There is also a locking feature, which is great for traveling. To unlock it, just press both buttons for 1-2 seconds. Both LED lights will come on. To lock it, press both buttons 1-2 seconds – the LED lights will go off. The S5 comes locked, and it automatically locks when it’s removed from the charger.
This anal vibrator is waterproof, and it’s also easy to clean with antibacterial soap and warm water. It can be stored in its box or in a toybag with its charger.
So, Did It Work? This is a great anal vibrator! It’s a good size for me, and I like how it feels when I have it inserted. Unlike some of the anal toys I have, it has some flex to it, making it comfortable to wear. I also like the button placement, as they’re easy to find and press.
Where this really excels is in the intensity and functions. I like that each pattern can be set from low to high. The patterns themselves are good – I like patterns better anally than straight vibrations – and I really like being able to adjust their strength from low to high during use. This can get me off by itself, without any other vibes, which makes it awesome.

This is a rechargeable rabbit, and it charges via the included USB cable. The jack is on the end of the toy, and it can then be charged by plugging it into a computer or USB wall adapter. A full charge takes about 2 hours, and the rabbit will run for 40 minutes on high or 50 minutes on low. The charging light will glow red when the toy is charging, and will disappear once charged.
Two buttons control the 
When the top button turns on (the light for this button will glow red), the rabbit’s nose will start to move up and down, about an inch overall. It has 3 speeds: slow, fast, and a pause/movement pattern. With the shaft turned off, it’s quite noticeable, and delightful. The bottom button glows blue during use. It features various pulsing and vibrating patterns, 7 in all, and when turned off will restart on the pattern you last used. Each pattern makes use of the two shaft motors, but none of the patterns cause the clitoral arm to vibrate much – the arm stimulates your clit by movement rather than vibration.

The vibrations are moderate, and somewhat buzzy. They travel down the shaft well, and they aren’t felt strongly at the base. The Wave is very quiet – you will hardly hear it when it’s on, even when it’s on high.
These clamps come in a large, clear clamshell case. They’re visible through the front, and the enclosed paper has product information on the front and back. The case is easy to open, and inside are the clamps with attached bullets and the controller.
The clamps only come in black. The clamps themselves are non-tarnishing iron, while the pads on the tips and the cord are made from phthalate-free PVC. The bullets and the controller are made of ABS plastic with a smooth finish.
adjust. It should fit most nipples, whether large or small, and once it’s at the desired tightness it stays in place. The bullet and clamp don’t weigh a lot, but you will notice a pulling sensation. The clamps are most comfortable with the bullet hanging down if you’re standing, and to the outside if you’re lying on your back. The bullets have a 15” cord leading from them, and once the cords join, the cord is an additional 15” long before it attaches to the controller.
This is not a waterproof toy, so care should be used when cleaning. The bullets, clamps, and controller can be wiped with toy cleaner, toy wipes, or antibacterial soap and water – neither the bullets or the controller should be submerged. It’s easy to store this in a toy bag or small box, and the batteries should be removed when storing it.
So, Did It Work? My nipples are pretty large, and I usually have some trouble with nipple clamps that aren’t the tweezer style. These clamps, however, were adjustable enough to get on my nipples, and I could tighten them down enough so they didn’t slip off. They were heavier than I was expecting, but they weren’t so heavy that they bothered me (and they are really quite light – but heavier than the nipple clamps I’ve worn before).

This vibrator comes in pink, red, and purple, and I received mine in pink. The color is rich and deep, and a nice change from the standard bubblegum pink color. It’s made of silicone, so it’s phthalate free and odorless. The silicone is smooth with just a bit of drag, and the seam is almost undetectable around the toy (you won’t notice it at all during use). If needed, a water-based lube will make the S8 slick and easy to insert.

To start the S8, press the button once. The S8 will start up on its low vibration speed. To increase the intensity, press and hold the button until it’s at the desired level. The LED light will flash faster and faster with the change in speed. To turn the S8 off, press the button again (don’t hold it down). The S8 doesn’t have patterns, but its steady vibration is fairly rumbly, and it’s quiet even on the strongest vibration. The vibrations are strongest in the insertable part, but are also nicely felt through the clit stimulator.
