Review: Cloud 9 Power Touch Bullet

It’s been a while since I added a new toy to my collection – but it’s definitely about time! I recently had the opportunity to try out the Power Touch Personal Wireless Bullet from the Cloud 9 Pro Sensual Series. It’s a bullet vibrator with remote control, and TooTimid sent this to me for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

The Power Touch comes in 3 colors: purple, pink, and teal, and I received mine in teal. It’s a bright, pretty color, and one of my favorites for a sex toy. This bullet and remote set comes with a USB charging cord, a small storage bag, and an instruction card. The storage bag is large enough to hold everything and keep it all together.

The bullet itself is decently sized at 4 1/2” long, and it’s insertable to 4”. It has a flared base which makes it easy to hold on to when you’re using it, and it’s made of silicone, so it’s body safe and phthalate free – a must for my toys. It’s easy to clean with antibacterial soap and some water, or a toy cleaner, both before and after use. The bullet is waterproof, so you can use it in the shower or tub, but the remote isn’t, so it should stay on dry land. The tip is rounded, making it easy to insert if you want to use it internally and also pleasant to use on your clit. A large power button is on the bottom of the base, and the charging port is located on the side.

A full charge takes about 4 hours, and the power button will blink while the bullet is charging. Once charged, the bullet will run for about 1 1/2 hours of use. This does charge more slowly than other rechargeables I’ve had, but I charge it after I use it so it’s ready to go the next time I’m ready.

The remote is small and made of plastic, giving it a shiny look. It has one button on the top, and the back has a removable panel where the battery is located. This remote uses a standard CR2032 watch battery. The range of operation is about 30 feet with no instructions, so you can give it to your partner to tease you from some distance away. Of course, it also works well for you to control the bullet!

The Power Touch is easy to operate, and can be used without the remote. Pressing the button on the bullet for 3 seconds turns the bullet on and makes it ready for use. The LED light behind the button will glow, letting you know its on. Then, press the power button once to start the vibrations, and press again to cycle through the patterns and levels. There are 3 steady vibration modes (low, medium, and high), and 7 pattern modes, and the LED light under the button glows and pulses to the mode. To stop the vibrations and turn off the vibrator without the remote, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.

Using the remote is pretty straightforward. You’ll still press the bullet’s button for 3 seconds to turn it on, but then you’ll press the button on the remote to cycle through the modes. Pressing the remote’s button for 3 seconds again will stop the vibrations, and then you’ll need to press the bullet’s power button to turn its power off. If you don’t hold the button down for 3 seconds on the bullet, the vibrations will start up again.

The vibrations are nicely strong for a vibrator of this size, and they’re more throbby than buzzy. They feel great on your clit, and they feel good internally too. The bullet is pretty quiet – you can’t hear it if you’ve got the tv or some music on.

I like using this on the steady vibrations clitorally and turning on the patterns internally – my clit likes steady and strong vibrations, but I’ve found that the patterns in general feel better inside. While the vibrations aren’t the strongest I’ve ever felt, they’re certainly strong enough to do the job for me. The tip of the bullet is just the right size to hit and tease my clit, and I like using this bullet on my clit to start out, then internally, and then finish on the high setting so I can orgasm. I didn’t have any trouble with the bullet staying charged, and I like using this with the remote when I’m using it inside. I also like that this is travel safe, and it’s unlikely to turn on in my suitcase.

Thank you to TooTimid for sending me the Power Bullet to review! If you’d like to give this one a try, you can pick one up at TooTimid.com by clicking the link below.

Orange Vibrations

It’s hard to believe that the summer is about half over already! The weather’s been hot, and there are few things better at night than to lie in front of a fan and masturbate with a vibrator or two.  This month, as part of the Cal Exotics’ Sexpert Program, I received the Silicone Gyration Sensations Gyrating 10-Function Tickler for free in exchange for this review.

gyrboxThe Gyrating Tickler comes in a cardboard box with a picture of the toy on the front and product information on the back. Inside the box are the control, bullet, and silicone sleeve, sealed in plastic, and a small universal instruction pamphlet. This toy comes in two fun colors, purple, and orange. I received mine in orange, and it’s that great Tic Tac color, warm and vibrant.

gyroutofbox
gyrstimulatorThe silicone sleeve is about 6” long overall (5 1/4” straight up and down), and its shaft is 3 1/2” insertable. The head is rounded and about 1 1/4” at its widest. The tip and upper part of the shaft are quite firm, while the shaft flexes lower down. The flexible clit stimulator is about 1 3/4” long and 1” wide. The top of its tip is covered with silicone nubs for extra stimulation.

gyrbulletThe ABS plastic bullet is somewhat bell-shaped, with a 1 1/4” diameter at its widest diameter, and 1” at the bottom. It’s attached to a long cord ending in a universal jack, which allows you to use it with any other jacked controller if you want a different set of patterns or more power. The bullet can be used alone, but it also (with a considerable amount of difficulty) can be inserted into the bottom of the sleeve.

gyrremoteThe controller looks like a long, oversized Tic Tac, and it’s also made of ABS plastic. The base unscrews to reveal the battery compartment, and a slide-out tray holds 2 AAA batteries. The tray can only be inserted one way into the controller’s body, and once it’s in and the base is attached, the Gyrating Tickler is ready to use.

The controller has just one button on the front. Pressing the button once will turn it on (it will start at the pattern after the one you shut the toy off on), and subsequent presses will cycle through the 10 vibration and pattern settings. There are three steady vibrations (high, medium, and low), and 7 pulsing and escalating patterns. The light behind the button will glow or flash to the vibration or pattern the Gyrating Tickler is on.

The vibrations are moderate and rumbly, not buzzy like you might expect. They are fairly quiet, especially when the bullet is inside the sleeve, and the sleeve is inserted. They travel decently down both the shaft and the clitoral arm.

gyrbatteryThis toy is easy to clean, even though it isn’t waterproof, and each piece can be cleaned separately. Both the sleeve and the bullet can be washed before and after use with water and antibacterial soap and water and dried, a toy cleaner, or toy wipe, and dried before storing. The controller can be wiped down with a wet washcloth and dried off if necessary. The box won’t hold up for long-term storage, but storing this in a toybag or drawer will work fine. Water-based lube is recommended, but if you want to use a silicone base, test it on the bottom of the sleeve before use.

gyrinhandSo, Did It Work? Some things about this toy worked well. The bullet alone had deeper vibrations than I expected, and I liked the variety of patterns and vibrations. It could have had more power behind it – I did try it with another remote I have that uses AA batteries, and the vibrations were stronger and easier for me to get the first orgasm. After the first one, the vibrations with the original controller were strong enough to keep me going….or coming, as the case may be. I liked that the sleeve was made of silicone, and it was easy to insert. With the bullet in, the vibrations traveled well throughout the sleeve, both to the head and through the clitoral arm (the arm could be a bit longer for me, but I was able to get it pretty well situated).

Getting the sleeve on and off the bullet is, however, a real challenge. My husband had to put the bullet in, as I could not get it in no matter how hard I tried, and even though he did this a few times, it didn’t get much easier. Lubing the bullet helped, but it was still tough for him (and impossible for me) to do. I could get the bullet out by rolling the bottom of the sleeve and really working it – it’s good that it stays completely in place when it’s in the sleeve, but it should be easier to put it in and take it out. Could you leave it in? You could, but toys like this I like to be able to use the sleeve and bullet separately. Considering the amount of pulling, rolling, and twisting the bottom of the sleeve endured during our attempts with the bullet, I will say that the material didn’t rip or appear to stretch at all.

Booty-licious

March madness is here! Well, maybe it’s really spring madness, but there’s nothing I’m looking forward to more than the weather warming up and reviewing new toys. This month as part of the Cal Exotics’ sexpert program, I got to review the Booty Call Booty Vibro Kit for free in exchange for this unbiased review.

calexboxThe Booty Vibro Kit is available in pink and black, and I received mine in pink. It comes packaged with information on the box, as well as small pamphlets inside.

calexfrombox

The controller and both probes are sealed in plastic inside the box. This is a pretty versatile kit, as it can be used in several ways.

calexprobeinhandBoth probes are made out of smooth silicone. The first probe has a classic shape, with a tapered tip. It’s 5 ½” long overall, with 3 ¾” insertable. The tip is smooth and narrow to help with insertion, and the probe is only 1” wide at its widest point. The neck is just 3/8” wide, which will help the probe stay in place.

calexbubblesinhandThe second probe consists of a series of 4 gradually larger bubbles. This probe is 6” long overall, with 4 ½” insertable. The smallest bubble is just ¾” in diameter, while the largest bubble is 1 ¼”. They are easy to insert, although they may not stay in as easily as the smooth probe due to the very small neck.

Both probes have holes in the base to accommodate the bullet, but the hole can also be used for gentle manipulation with a finger.

calexbulletinhandThe silver bullet is 2” long and 1” wide. It’s made of ABS plastic with silver plating. It’s attached to the controller by a 31 ½” cord. The controller is made of PP (Polypropylene) , and has a teardrop, flat shape. It’s easy to hold, although very slick. The battery compartment lid is hinged on the back, and the controller holds 2 AAA batteries, which are easy to insert.

calexremoteThe bullet is controlled by a spin wheel on the right top side of the control. The bullet has speeds ranging from low to high. The vibrations in the bullet alone are fairly buzzy, and moderately quiet. The bullet can be used for stimulation on its own, or it can be used in the probes.

For vibration in either probe, simply slip the bullet in through the ringed base. The bullet fits snugly, but isn’t hard to either insert or remove.  When turned on, the bullet produces vibrations that travel well through the silicone.

calexprobewithbulletThe probes are easy to clean. They can be washed with antibacterial soap and water, boiled, or run through the dishwasher. The bullet is not waterproof, nor is the controller, so care should be taken when cleaning these pieces: the bullet can be carefully washed with soap and water and dried, and the controller can be wiped off with a wet cloth, if necessary, and dried. This set can be stored in the box it comes in, or in a toybag.

So, Did It Work?

This is a fun set! I like that it comes with 2 differently shaped probes, so I can use the one that strikes the moment. I did find the more classically shaped probe to be easier to insert, but after warming up with that, the bubbled probe wasn’t a problem (it’s always those bubbles that get to me), and the spaces between the bubbles allowed for an easy resting place before continuing. The hole in the base is large enough to slip a finger in, and it works well to gently thrust either probe.

calexbubblewithbulletThe bullet works well in both probes. The silicone transmits its vibrations well, and I can feel the vibrations inside. I like the bullet in the classically-shaped probe the best: since this probe has a longer neck, the bullet sits right outside on my skin and sends vibrations to the whole area. While the vibrations are what you’d expect from 2AAA, they’re quite enough for me, especially anally, to orgasm from.  I do wish the bubbled probe has a longer neck to it, so it felt more securely in place when fully inserted. I think with a longer neck, it would transmit the vibrations to the whole area like the other probe does.

The Booty Vibro Kit is one I’d recommend, particularly if you like smaller anal toys and enjoy anal vibration. Even if you don’t, you can use the bullet on your clit and insert the probes with no vibration.
