Last month, Cal Exotics announced Inspire, a new line of products created to support Living Beyond Breast Cancer, a non-profit organization. Proceeds from the Inspire line are being donated to support this group, and products in the Inspire line include wands, teasers, a dilator kit, breast massager, and kegel exercisers. In addition to the Vibrating Ultimate Wand, which I reviewed recently, I also received the Vibrating Remote Kegel Exerciser for free to review. Why exercise your kegels? Doing kegel exercises strengthens pelvic control, and they’re easy to do. They’re fun to do, too, with an exerciser.
The Vibrating Remote Kegel Exerciser from Cal Exotics comes in a clear plastic box, with the toy and remote both visible. The box sits inside a cardboard bottom box, which has product information on the sides and back. Inside the box are the egg with retrieval cord, its remote, a USB charging cord, R&TTE (European compliance) statement card, general instructions for Cal Exotics’ toys, and instructions for this toy’s use.
Like all products in the Inspire line, the Kegel Exerciser is a pretty, pale bubblegum pink. The insertable exerciser is covered with s smooth, soft silicone, and is waterproof, while the remote is ABS plastic with a PU cote.
The egg-shaped exerciser is about 7 1/2” long overall, including the cord (the body is about 3” long). The cord is silicone, and part of the body, so it’s easier to clean than other insertables. It’s somewhat stretchy, and easy to remove the exerciser with.
The egg itself is about 1 1/2” in diameter. The silicone has some give, and the tip of the toy is tapered, and also squishy. It’s very easy to insert (you’ll want to use a bit of water-based lubricant), and stays in place where you put it. It has a button towards the lower half of the egg, which must pressed to turn the exerciser on – not vibrating, but ready to receive signals from the remote. It can also be inserted and used without any vibration, or you can set the vibration speed without the remote by pressing and holding the button for 2 seconds, then pressing it to cycle through the functions (pressing for 2 seconds will turn it off). The exerciser is rechargeable, and the charging port is on the opposite side of the egg.
The remote is about 3” long and 1 1/2” wide, and it’s small and easy to hold. One of the coolest things about the remote is that it is rechargeable too! If there’s one thing I find annoying with remote-controlled toys, it’s that that remotes usually take an odd-sized battery, and it always dies at an inopportune time. The charging port is on the end, and the USB charging cable provided has 2 jacks, so both the remote and exerciser can be charged at the same time. This is awesome! It takes about 2 1/2 hours for a full charge, and then the exerciser will run for 30 minutes on high, and 1 1/2 hours on low.
The remote has 3 buttons on the front to control the exerciser. Once you’ve pressed the button on the egg and inserted it, you can turn it on by pressing the middle button and holding it for 2 seconds. The top and bottom buttons will cycle through the patterns – there are 10 in all, including steady vibration, pulsing patterns, and escalations – either forwards or backwards. This is great, as you can easily go back to the pattern you like if you pass it without having to go through all of them. You can increase the vibration speed by pressing and holding the top button (on the opposite end of the charging port), and decrease it by pressing and holding the bottom button. You can turn off the exerciser by pressing the middle button for 2 seconds. The remote has a range of about 16 feet.
The vibrations are moderately strong and more on the buzzy side. They’re very quiet, so you can use the exerciser pretty much anywhere with no one being the wiser.
This is easy to clean (warm water and antibacterial soap, or a toy cleaner), and also easy to store – it’s best to store in a toybag with the remote and charging cord.
So, Did It Work? This is a fun exerciser! I love vibrating eggs, and this one is quiet, decently strong, makes me want to squeeze my kegels, and has a great variety of functions. I like that the retrieval cord is part of the egg and silicone. The remote buttons are pretty cool – being able to cycle back and forth makes it easier to find the pattern I want to use. And what I really love is that the remote is rechargeable – and can be charged with the exerciser. No more digging for N or watch batteries when the remote dies.

This is a rechargeable rabbit, and it charges via the included USB cable. The jack is on the end of the toy, and it can then be charged by plugging it into a computer or USB wall adapter. A full charge takes about 2 hours, and the rabbit will run for 40 minutes on high or 50 minutes on low. The charging light will glow red when the toy is charging, and will disappear once charged.
Two buttons control the 
When the top button turns on (the light for this button will glow red), the rabbit’s nose will start to move up and down, about an inch overall. It has 3 speeds: slow, fast, and a pause/movement pattern. With the shaft turned off, it’s quite noticeable, and delightful. The bottom button glows blue during use. It features various pulsing and vibrating patterns, 7 in all, and when turned off will restart on the pattern you last used. Each pattern makes use of the two shaft motors, but none of the patterns cause the clitoral arm to vibrate much – the arm stimulates your clit by movement rather than vibration.

This vibrator comes in pink, red, and purple, and I received mine in pink. The color is rich and deep, and a nice change from the standard bubblegum pink color. It’s made of silicone, so it’s phthalate free and odorless. The silicone is smooth with just a bit of drag, and the seam is almost undetectable around the toy (you won’t notice it at all during use). If needed, a water-based lube will make the S8 slick and easy to insert.

To start the S8, press the button once. The S8 will start up on its low vibration speed. To increase the intensity, press and hold the button until it’s at the desired level. The LED light will flash faster and faster with the change in speed. To turn the S8 off, press the button again (don’t hold it down). The S8 doesn’t have patterns, but its steady vibration is fairly rumbly, and it’s quiet even on the strongest vibration. The vibrations are strongest in the insertable part, but are also nicely felt through the clit stimulator.
I like the 
There is some give down the shaft, due to the silicone being loose over the inner workings of the toy – this also makes the shaft a bit flexible for better positioning. The shaft is gently curved and about 5 1/2” long, with a maximum 1 1/4” diameter, and even with its rounded head is easy to insert.
Rechargeable toys are always a plus, and the Jack Rabbit is charged via the included USB cable. The jack slips into the charging port on the back side of the toy, and the other end can be connected to your computer’s USB port, or to a wall adapter. LED lights under the silicone backlight the buttons in a flashing pattern while the toy is charging – the lights will glow steadily when charging is complete, which will take 
a maximum of 3 hours, depending on the charge remaining in the Jack Rabbit when it’s plugged in. Once fully charged, this rabbit will run for 3 1/2 hours on high settings, and up to 6 hours on the low settings.
The front panel has 3 control buttons, which are silicone and easy to press. The middle button is a dedicated on/off button, so you can turn the Jack Rabbit off quickly if necessary. Pressing this button once turns the toy on and backlights the buttons, but doesn’t power up the motors. The top button is the pattern button, and each press cycles between the following patterns:
When the Jack Rabbit is turned off and then back off, it starts at the first setting. So what do you do if you like another setting better? This is what the bottom button is for. This button is marked R, and is easy to use. Once you’re on the setting you like, press and hold the R button for about 3 seconds – it will rapidly flash – and this will set the pattern. Now, you can turn on the Jack Rabbit and press R, and it will immediately go back to the setting you stored. If you change your mind at some point and want to store another pattern, simply go to that pattern and hold the button down for 3 seconds.
So, Did It Work? The Jack Rabbit has a lot going for it. The size of the shaft is great, the silicone has a great feel, and the slight curve makes it easy to insert. The clit arm is long enough for me to have the vibrations hit where I want them to. I love the idea of a memory button – it’s a rare thing that I like the first vibration pattern, and this way I can go right to the setting I want to use. The vibrations aren’t overwhelmingly strong, but they’re strong enough to get me going, and ultimately get me to orgasm.
