I like to use vibrators on my clit, whether I’m masturbating or having sex. During sex I prefer hands-free vibrators, as it frees up my hands for other play. I’d been looking to try a new hands-free vibrator for a while, so I was thrilled when Topco Toyz sent me the UltraZone Sexy U for free to review this month!
The UltraZone Sexy U comes in a white box, with a picture of the toy on the front and back in the color it comes in, as well as product information on the back. Inside the box are the toy, it’s remote, two USB chargers (a jacked one for the toy and a magnetic one for the remote), and a bag to use for storage. This is available in 2 colors – pink and purple – and I received mine in purple.
This vibrator is made of silicone, and it’s smooth to the touch with a bit of give. The toy itself is about 7” long (and about 7/8” wide at its widest), measured from one end to the other around the outside curve. Either end is insertable, and the insertable length is about 3”. The vibrations are in the arm where the on/off button is located. If this side is inserted, there’s a bit of a G-spot nub for stimulation and the vibrations will be concentrated on your clit. You will need to turn the toy on before inserting, but it can be turned on and the intensity set on the lowest setting to make this easier.
If you insert this the other way, the vibrations are mainly internal, and the toy will stimulate your clit primarily through pressure and rubbing. The Sexy U is flexible, and it needs just a bit of lube to make it slide in effortlessly. The charging port is located on the same end of the toy as the button for turning the Sexy U on.
Because of its small size, the Sexy U can be used during intercourse, or with another toy inserted. It can also be used alone and can be worn under clothing. The size and shape keep the Sexy U in place no matter how you choose to use it.
The Sexy U is controlled by a small remote that’s about 2 3/4” long and 1 1/2” wide. It has a silver loop on one end that can go around your finger, and it also helps keep straight which is the top and which is the bottom. The back side has 2 metal circles that connect to the USB charger, and the front has 3 buttons for controlling the vibrator.
Before the remote can be used, the toy must be turned on by pressing the small, raised button on one end. After pressing and holding this button for about 3 seconds, the Sexy U will turn on. Now the remote can be used to change the pattern and intensity of the vibrations.
The middle button on the remote cycles through 9 patterns, including steady vibrations and pulse patterns. The vibrations can be decreased by pressing the top button (closest to the silver loop), and increased by pressing the bottom button. On the lowest speed setting the vibrations are very subtle, and on the highest setting the vibrations are quite strong, and mostly buzzy. They feel stronger when the vibrating end is inserted, and not quite as strong when this end is used on the clit. The toy can be turned off by pressing the middle button on the remote and holding it for 3 seconds. Even on the high settings, the Sexy U is fairly quiet, and background noise will mask any sound it makes.
This toy is waterproof, so you can enjoy it in the shower or tub. It’s also easy to clean – both pieces can be cleaned with warm water and antibacterial soap, or a toy cleaner can be used. The charging connectors on the remote should be wiped dry before connecting to the charging cable.
So, Did It Work? The Sexy U has some good things going for it. I like the shape, and how easily it stays in place, whether I’m using it alone, or with another toy or my partner. It’s easy to insert, and easy to use, and I like how each pattern can be increased or decreased to the strength I want. I love that the remote is rechargeable – this is one of my biggest issues with other remote-controlled toys, as the remote typically takes a weird size battery, and it runs out when I need it most. With the Sexy U, I can charge both the toy and remote together, so I won’t be without a way to control it.
I didn’t like that I couldn’t turn the toy on from the remote – only off. I’d rather be able to do both without having to find the button on the Sexy U. I also would have preferred to have two vibrating ends on the toy and not just one. The vibrations felt great inside, but my clit was wanting its share of vibrations, and the silicone doesn’t transmit the vibrations as much as I’d like. Flipped around, the vibrations were good on my clit, but if they were on both ends it would be much better.
