Hot Fun In The Summertime

June marks the beginning of summer, although it seems like the weather’s already arrived. Lots of rabbits are running around outside, and Cal Exotics has new rabbits for inside as well. This month, as part of their Sexpert program, I received the Entice Katharine for free in exchange for this review.

kathboxThe Entice Katharine comes in a black cardboard box, with a picture of the product on the front and product information on the sides and back. The toy comes in 3 colors – pink, raspberry, and purple. My Katharine came in raspberry, and it’s a rich purplish pink color. Inside the box are the vibrator and a USB charging cord, as well as a general instruction sheet.

kathoutofboxKatharine is a nicely-sized silicone rabbit.  She’s 8 1/2” long overall, with about 4” insertable. Her shaft is covered with smooth, non-tacky silicone, and she has a gently curved shape. Several waves run down her sides adding to her aesthetic – these don’t add to the internal sensation, but give her a sleek, modern look. The tip of the shaft is rounded and slightly tapered for easier insertion, and there’s a slight bulge for G-spot stimulation. The shaft is just 1 1/4” wide, great for those who don’t like girthier rabbits, and narrows slightly towards the base.

kathflexclitThe clitoral arm is a small rabbit that has a nose bump, which may hit your clit directly on, and two separated ears. This arm is 2 1/4” long and about 1” wide. The arm is flexible away from the shaft, which aids in positioning.

Katharine is a rechargeable rabbit, and she charges via USB – you can plug her into your computer, or into a USB wall port for charging. The charging contacts are magnetic, and the two contacts attach over Katharine’s control buttons. The charger only attaches one way to the toy, and it snaps on securely – it doesn’t tend to come unattached. When charging, a white light flashes around the buttons, and it glows steadily when Katharine is fully charged.

kathchargebuttonsThis rabbit is controlled by two buttons which are located below the clit arm. The buttons are surrounded by a metal-plated ABS ring. The top button controls the clit stimulator, and the bottom button controls the shaft. Each button must be pressed for 3 seconds to turn the motor on, and three seconds to turn it off.  The vibration patterns are the same in both motors: 3 steady vibrations (low, medium, and high), and 5 pulse patterns. The vibrations are strong, and are on the buzzy side. They’re concentrated below the tip in the shaft (they can be felt farther down the shaft, but are much weaker) and in the main part of the bunny on the clit arm (and they do travel well through the ears). No light indicates when just the clit arm is turned on, but a white light and a red light both glow when the shaft is on.

kathchargingWhat makes Katharine unique from other rabbits is that she warms during use. The sensation is most pronounce in the top part of the shaft, and the shaft warms up to 104 degrees Farenheit when it’s turned on.

Katharine is waterproof, so she’s great to take into the bath.

This rabbit is easy to clean before and after use with antibacterial soap and water, or you can use toy wipes or toy cleaner. She doesn’t pick up a lot of lint, and can be stored in a toy bag – the box can be used, but it won’t hold up over time. Water-based lube is recommended, but if you prefer silicone, do a spot test near the bottom of Katharine to make sure there’s no reaction.

kathaloneSo, Did It Work? Katharine is a fun little rabbit, and I’d recommend her. Her vibrations are pretty strong, and even though they’re on the buzzy side, they’re strong enough to bring me to orgasm. I usually don’t use patterns for clit stimulation, but internally I really enjoyed the pulses. The clit arm is just a bit too short to hit my clit with its nose bump, but the ears reach just fine. I like that the motors are controlled separately, so I can have the patterns inside and the steady vibrations on my clit.

I could feel the tip of the shaft warming inside, and the amount it warmed depended on if I was using the steady vibrations or the pulses. I don’t know if it reached 104 degrees, but it was pleasantly warm during use.

I also really like the charging plug this comes with. Some magnetic ones I have for other toys are really finicky – you have to position the charger on the right area, and then fiddle with the angle to keep the logo lit and the toy charging. And there’s nothing worse than thinking you’ve charged a toy, then finding out that it hasn’t charged at all. With Katharine’s charger, it snaps securely to the toy, keeping it in place and charging without worry.

Thank you to Cal Exotics for sending me the Entice Katharine for free to review! If you’re interested in the Cal Exotics’ Entice line you can check them out (Katharine is not available as yet) at PinkCherry.com.

Hitachi’s Little Helper

Along with the Hitachi, I reviewed a few attachments for this powerhouse vibrator. This review was published with non-exclusive rights on another website. I’m reposting it here (with a few edits.)

The Jollies Curved Hitachi Attachment is an insertable accessory for the Hitachi wand vibrator. It comes packaged in a simple plastic bag. The attachment is a lovely pink color with shimmers throughout. It’s smooth and seamless, and made of 100% medical grade silicone.

pinkhitachicapSilicone is non-porous and hypo-allergenic, as well as phthalates free, so it’s safe for your body. Silicone repels dirt and bacteria, and can easily be cleaned with soap and water, or sterilized by running it through the dishwasher (top rack), boiled, or cleaned with a 10% bleach solution. Make sure to sterilize the attachment if you plan on sharing it with someone else. Only water-based lubricants should be used with the attachment.

The attachment is 7” long from base to tip. The bulb part that fits over the Hitachi head is about 3” wide at its widest, and the opening is about 2” wide. While the attachment is marketed for the Hitachi, it will fit other wand style massagers with head size similar to the Hitachi. It slips easily over the massager head and grips it so that it won’t slip or slide around. It is also easy to remove when finished. It’s not necessary to apply lube inside the attachment to put it on the massager’s head, and doing so will cause it to move and twist around.

pinkcaponhitachiThe insertable part of the attachment measures about 5” long along the curve, with about 4” insertable when measured straight top to bottom. This part has a gentle curve for g-spot stimulation. It is firm, yet flexible, and measures about 1 1/4” in diameter.

It works best to use lubricant and insert the attachment before turning on the Hitachi; otherwise the strong vibrations make insertion difficult. Once inserted with the Hitachi turned on, the attachment transmits the vibrations evenly up and down its length, and will cause you to clench your vaginal muscles around it to hang on for the ride.

Unless the Hitachi is angled (somewhat awkwardly) so the base comes into contact with your clitoris, this provides just direct and intense internal stimulation. This may be ideal for those looking for g-spot orgasm without other stimulation.

The attachment can also be used for direct clitoral stimulation by using the insertable piece against the clitoris. The attachment dampens somewhat the intense vibrations of the Hitachi for those who find it too much to use without a barrier of some kind.

Intense anal stimulation is also possible with the attachment, although the tip of the attachment is a bit difficult to insert due to its flexibility.

This is one of three attachments I have for the Hitachi, and it gets quite a bit of use. I really like how this feels, and it’s particularly good when I don’t want clitoral stimulation or want to use a different toy there. I don’t use this much just on the clitoris as I prefer the stronger direct sensations of the Hitachi without a barrier.I’m not brave enough to use this anally until I get some kind of a power adjuster for the Hitachi itself. This attachment has remained in good shape and shows no signs of rips, tears, or damage.
Although the Jollies curved Hitachi attachment is no longer available, you can find similarly shaped attachments, and other Hitachi attachments, at Pink Cherry.

Kink Of The Week: Dildos

alldildos

From left to right: Eleven, Smooth S, Leisure, Fling, Dracula, Cyborg

I love dildos. I’ll admit that I have more vibrators, but there’s just something about dildos that I enjoy. It took me a while to get my first one, but now, for me, they’re like Lay’s potato chips – you can’t fuck just one.

sherbet

The Tantus Sherbet on the Tantus suction cup

The very first dildo I ever got, and which I still have, was the silicone Tantus Sherbet. It was also the first dildo I ever wrote a review for. Yes, it has a bullet hole, but it works just fine without vibration. Plus, it’s the most beautiful green.

I have a large assortment of silicone dildos, which include all sizes from small to large, the largest being Hoss. Some are beautifully colored – green, pink, black, orange, and blue – while others are flesh tones. Some are rather monstrous as well. Many of the brightly colored ones are realistic in shape, but some are not….and all of the flesh-colored ones are realistic. I do still have some non-silicone realistic dildos that I just can’t get rid of because of their size and how they feel. These are quite detailed, and are molded from real people…quite well endowed porn stars.

Several of the dildos I own have that bullet hole on the bottom, which works well on a suction cup attachment…and using a suction cup adds a whole new dimension for playing with them. Hole or not, they all work well on a fucking machine.

While I do love silicone, I also have a lot of dildos in other materials, including glass, metal, and wood. Most of my glass dildos are colorful, although a few are clear, and they tend to be smaller in girth than all the others. My metal dildos include the Eleven, which is by far the heaviest one I own. I only have two wooden ones: the Smooth S and the Fling, both from NobEssence, and they are two of my favorites. I particularly love the fling, which as a handle…and that comes in pretty handy.

shanediesel

Shane Diesel’s cock

Overall, I prefer grittier dildos and dildos with texture…unless they’re for anal use, where I prefer them thinner and smooth. I like curved ones, as they’re better to hit my g-spot, but straight ones can be quite filling and satisfying as well.

Dildos are great anytime: solo or with my partner, during kink play or regular sex. I don’t consider dildos inherently kinky, although when I’ve got two on the machine thrusting away into me and I’m bound, it probably crosses over that line. But as much as I love them, they’re really no substitute for a flesh and blood cock.

Dreaming of Butterflies

It’s been a few months of butterflies and sunshine with all the unseasonably warm days and busy nights. Last month, I had fun reviewing Cal Exotics’ Wild Butterfly as part of their Sexpert program. This month, I got to review another butterfly: the Butterfly Dreams.

Venus, If You Will…

It seems like most of my vibrators lately, if they aren’t clitoral, are G-spot. Which surprises me a bit, as I never used to go for the G-spot kind – now it’s almost all I look for.  So I was happy to try out the Berman Venus G vibrator from Babeland.com .
