Resplendent In Rose

Sometimes I like soft and squishy dildos. Other times I like them hard as rocks for that extra g-spot stimulation or anal play. While metal is the material I prefer, glass comes in close, so I was happy to receive the Rose G-Spotter from Babeland to review.

The Rose G-Spotter is a lovely double-ended glass toy from Don Wands. This dildo comes simply packaged, and includes a wonderful black padded drawstring storage bag to keep the toy in when not in use. The bags that come with the Don Wands toys have to be some of my favorites – plushy and thick, and great at protection.

The coloring on this toy is pretty – it’s a rosy pink color and clear throughout. Depending on the light, it will shine through pink or rose, and is simply lovely. No seams or sharp edges here! This toy is 8” long measured along the curve (7” straight up and down). It’s on the petite side for a double sided toy, and both ends perform differently.

The g-spot end has a rounded tip that is 1 1/8” wide and 1 1/4″ long. This narrows down to about a 1” neck and is 4 1/2″ insertable. The bubbled end consists of a 1 1/4″ bulb atop two 1” bubbles. Each of the three is 1 1/4″ wide. These three sit atop a base that’s also 1 1/4″ wide, and allow 3” of insertable length. Because of the base in the center, either end can be used anally. The curved end can be used for prostate stimulation or comfortable insertion, while the other end can be used as a glass probe. While it doesn’t have a flared base, the length and the bulges make this relatively safe to use – it also helps when a partner uses it on you.

The Rose G-Spotter is made of Pyrex glass, so it’s nonporous, phthalates-free, and hypoallergenic. It’s also resistant to breaking, and won’t shatter if it breaks. Care should be taken not to drop it however, and it should always be checked for cracks or chips before use. It’s easy to clean – simply wash it with antibacterial soap and water. You can also run it through the dishwasher on the top rack if desired. Any lubricant is safe to use, and you won’t need a lot to make this toy slick and ready for use.

This is also fun for temperature play – you can run it under warm water or chill it in the refrigerator for more intense sensations.

So, Does It Work? While it was plenty hard enough to stimulate my g-spot, and long enough as well, I found this dildo just a bit thin for my liking. I liked the curved end the best this way, and it was a pleasant way to get aroused before moving up to a larger toy. The bubbled end didn’t do much for me vaginally at all.

I did enjoy this as an anal toy, however. The bubbled end was comfortable to insert and comfortable to keep in, and I enjoyed the curve and feel of the g-spot end. The g-spot end worked well for thrusting, and the slickness was immensely pleasurable.

We had fun doing some temperature play as well. I prefer warmed toys, but chilled for about 10 minutes really intensified the sensations for me on this.

The Rose G-Spotter is an inexpensive and lovely glass piece, and would be great if you like smaller, firmer toys. It’s also fun to use anally – nothing like a versatile piece!

Massage, Anyone?

I love massages, and don’t get them nearly enough. My husband enjoys them as well. We’ve tried a few massage candles and have enjoyed the the oil being in a candle, warming up before being rubbed into back muscles. I’m always looking for new scents and was happy to receive the Delight Massage Candle from Babeland to review.

This massage candle comes packaged in a cardboard canister. The lid lifts off about halfway down, and the package can be reused for storing the candle if desired. Product information is on the back.

I received the Mango Vanilla massage candle. When unlit it smells mostly like vanilla, with the barest hint of mango. When lit, you can smell the mango a bit more, but it’s still pretty muted. I would have liked the scents to be a bit more mixed, but it does smell nice, and the scent is not overpowering. The scent does a good job of filling the room.

The candle is 2 1/2″ tall and 2 1/2″ wide, and in a clear glass container with a bit of an hourglass shape to it. The candle contains 3 oz of oil, which contains soy wax, shea butter, and fragrance. The container also comes with a box of Babeland matches, so you can get to using your candle right away.

Once lit, the candle should burn for 30 to 40 minutes to melt enough oil for use. Then simply blow out the candle and pour the oil onto the skin from the holder. It’s warm, but not too hot or uncomfortable to use right away. The oil is thin, but not greasy, and you can smell the mango more at this point. The oil absorbs nicely into the skin, and leaves the skin soft, smooth, and lightly scented.

The candle burns down in the center, so if the sides haven’t melted you’ll want to gently push the softened oil down to keep the candle more level.

So, Is It Worth It? Yes! This is a relatively inexpensive massage candle, and I really liked the smell and feel of the oil. It absorbed nicely and I loved how it made my skin feel. My husband didn’t mind the scent – he found it much nicer than floral. The only thing I wish this had was some sort of pour spout on the glass. I didn’t have trouble pouring it out, but it tended to drip a bit over the side of the candle.

Not Your Usual Suspect

Ah, JimmyJane. They’ve gone and created several toys in striking white as part of their Usual Suspects line. I have to admit, when I first heard of these, it brought to mind images of Kevin Spacey and Keyser Söze. Fortunately, the line has nothing to do with Söze (although Kevin Spacey would have been just fine). This line of iconics features 6 different toys, each the ideal representation of its category, and each backed by a one year limited warranty. I’m always on the lookout for a good rabbit, and I was fortunate to receive the Iconic Rabbit from Babeland for review.

The Iconic Rabbit, also called “Twice As Nice”, comes in a white and grey box with a fuzzy outline of the product on the front and a black back. Product information is on the sides. The back opens up to first reveal the origin of the rabbit, which was created over 25 years ago, and then opening it again finds the Iconic Rabbit resting in red, as well as three white AA batteries with the JimmyJane logo. The flap contains instructions for use, as well as cleaning, safety notes, and warranty information.

The vibrator is large. It’s 9 1/4″ long with an insertable length of about 5 1/2”. It’s a lovely pearly white color all over. The Iconic Rabbit is made of Elastomer, which is a body-safe material. It’s hygienic, phthalates-free, and latex free. Both the shaft and the rabbit are soft and squishy and a bit tacky to the touch. The toy has no smell or taste.

The shaft is detailed to look like a woman, with a face on the head and a necklace below. The head is 1 1/4″ long, and 1 1/2″ in diameter. Below this is a slightly thinner segment, before the rabbit bulges out in its beaded area. This area is 1 3/4″ in diameter.

The clitoral piece is shaped like a rabbit, with long, soft ears and a cute face. The rabbit is 3 1/4″ long when straightened.

The Iconic Rabbit is powered by 3 AA batteries which are inserted into the base. The battery compartment is easy to open and the battery direction is clearly labeled.

The front of the base has 2 sliding controls which power the rabbit from off (top position) to maximum (lower position). When looking at the toy from the front, the left slider controls the shaft.

The shaft rotates as the beaded area spins in a clockwise direction. The shaft has a good, wobbly rotation to it, and goes up to a crazy fast rotation speed. If you think the shaft is too straight you can curve it by holding it just below the beaded area and gently bending the shaft, which is a pretty unique feature. Make sure you don’t bend it at the beads though, and don’t try to bend it more than a few degrees or you risk breaking the shaft and you’ll be unable to play with your Rabbit.

The clitoral attachment vibrates from a low intensity up to almost a numbing speed. The ears really vibrate! Depending on your anatomy, you can have the ears tickle your clit or bend them under so the rabbit’s face and ears both hit the spot.

When both the shaft and clitoral piece are turned on max, there is some decrease in intensity of the shaft rotation, but it is still incredibly fast. It is also incredibly noisy! When both pieces are on high it sounds a bit like my sewing machine.

While the box says that the Iconic Rabbit is ready to go right out of the box, I’d still recommend cleaning it both before and after use. It’s easy to clean: wash it with mild soap and warm water and pat dry. Be very careful not to get the battery pack wet, as this toy isn’t waterproof. Both silicone and water-based lubricants are safe to use with the Iconic Rabbit.

The Iconic Rabbit shouldn’t be stored with any vinyl products, but by itself in a box or storage bag. The packaging also has some other interesting warnings, like not to use it for more than 20 minutes at a time, and not to use it while sleeping.

So, Is It Worth It? Yes! Absolutely yes! This is probably the strongest and most powerful Rabbit vibrator I’ve ever used. The shaft rotates at a truly insane rate on high, and the clitoral piece vibrates phenomenally. I love that I can slightly angle the shaft for maximum internal stimulation. I truly wish this was waterproof (mostly because I really have a thing for waterproof toys), but it’s a great solo toy in the bedroom.

I’m not sure that this is a “Usual Suspect”, it’s a bit more unusual in that it works as expected – in fact, better than expected – for me.

Everyone Needs A Mistress

I’ve always wanted a Mistress. Well, not that kind. The nifty little vibrating toy from Vixen Creations. I’ve drooled and lusted after her for quite some time. So when Babeland offered up the Mistress for review, I pounced on it.

The Mistress comes in the standard Vixen cylinder with red lids. It has some product information on the front, and is ideal for storing the Mistress when she’s not in use.

I love blue toys, and this Mistress is a beautiful turquoise color. The color reminds me of that great decorating color in the 60s.  She’s gorgeous and unimposing, with no noticeable seam to mar her body. The Mistress is about 7” long, with 6 1/2″ insertable. She’s a slim girl, with a diameter of just 1 1/4″. Her base is 2 7/8” in diameter, making her ideal for harness play (she’s O-ring compatible) and safe for anal play as well.

The Mistress is super flexible and squishy, yet firm enough to thrust with and wonderfully smooth. She has a noticeable head, making her semi-realistic, but the head and ridge are squishy as well. The Mistress is gently curved, although the curve doesn’t provide much in the way of g-spot stimulation since she’s not firm enough.

The base has a hole in it where the bullet can be inserted. The bullet is silver and has a wrist strap. It’s 2” long and just 3/4″ in diameter. While the bullet goes in fairly easily, it’s hard to get out if you don’t put some lubricant on it!

The bullet is powered by 3 G18-A batteries, which go in + side up. The batteries are easy to insert, but they do need a tap or two to remove them from the bullet for replacement. It isn’t waterproof, so don’t take the Mistress into the bath unless you use her without it.

The bullet has a push button on the bottom, which allows you to turn the bullet on and off. The bullet just has 1 speed, which is a high, buzzy vibration. The vibrations are strongest where the bullet is inserted in the Mistress, but they can be felt quite well at the tip as well.

The Mistress is made of silicone, so she’s phthalates-free, latex-free, hypoallergenic and body safe. She’s easy to clean. Simply remove the bullet and wash her with antibacterial soap and warm water (you can also use your favorite toy cleaner). She can also be washed in the dishwasher on the top rack or boiled to sanitize her.

So, Does She Work? She does, indeed! While I find her a bit small for vaginal use, she slides in and out with ease and I love how she feels. She’s a bit too soft to hit my g-spot, but she’s nice and quite a bit of fun, and her vibrations feel good. Her wide base makes her easy to control, although if you press too hard with your hand you may shut the bullet off.

Where the Mistress excels for me is anal play. She’s the right size in both diameter and length to use comfortably with just a little warm up. Her softness and flexibility really make her comfortable to use, and my partner had no problems thrusting with her. I could feel her vibrations all up and down her shaft, which helped with incredible orgasms!

If you like a smaller-sized toy for vaginal use or anal play, the Mistress is sure to please.

Go Fukuoku Yourself

One of the biggest problems I find when using a small clitoral stimulator like an egg or bullet is having to hold onto it with my hand. After a while, it can get tricky to keep it in place. I’ve often thought it’d be nice to have something attached to my finger that I wouldn’t have to hold.

Enter the Fukuoku 9000. This small vibrator is billed as a fingertip massager, which can be used to massage your temples or more erogenous zones. It’s been around for a while and I’ve never tried it, so I couldn’t resist reviewing this for Babeland.com .

The Fukuoku 9000 comes in a hard to open clamshell case. I’ve gotten used to being able to open them easily, but this packaging must be cut and torn away to get to the product. I mean seriously, I want to play with a new toy right away, not after 5 minutes of struggling with the package!  Inside and visible through the package are the fingertip unit, 3 attachments, a storage pouch, and 4 AG-13 watch batteries. The batteries are used 2 at a time, so you have 2 spares. It also comes with a limited 6 month warranty.

The storage pouch is nice. It’s made of PVC, but has a dull, grained finish to simulate leather. The pouch is 3 1/2” wide, 3” tall, and about 3/4″ thick. It has a loop as wide as the pouch on the back so you could wear this on a belt if you chose. The pouch closes with Velcro, and is roomy enough to hold everything inside.

The Fukuoku 9000 itself is made of see-through black plastic. It’s 2 3/4″ long from end to end, 1” wide at the finger extender, and about 1 1/4″ wide farther down. Two pieces of hinged plastic separate as needed to slip your finger in, and they should spread wide enough to accommodate the largest of fingers.

The battery compartment is on top of the unit, and is opened by pressing firmly back until the lid snaps off. The two batteries sit side by side, positive side up. The batteries should always be replaced in pairs for best results. To replace the lid, press down and slide until the lid clicks into place.

The power button for the Fukuoku is on the side, and is a slide button. Sliding it towards the tip turns it on.

The 3 tips are grey and made of 100% pure surgical grade silicone. Each tip is 1 1/4” long, and about 1” wide. The tips are thin, and slide into position on the finger extender. Each tip has a seam running around the sides, but it’s not too noticeable on any of the tips while in use.

Each tip has a different pattern on its pad. One pattern is a small series of dots in circles, another is 3 circles in the shape of a target, and the last is 4 straight lines running horizontally across the pad. The patterns don’t stick out a lot from the sleeve, although the one with the dots feels the most pronounced.

When you wear the Fukuoku on your finger, the opening goes towards the top of your hand, and the patterned side of the sleeve faces downward. The idea here is that the pad is an extension to your finger, and also transmits the vibrations through the nub to the area you want to stimulate.  If you don’t want vibration, you can also wear the sleeves on your finger.

The Fukuoku 9000 is so named because it vibrates 9000 times per minute. It’s pretty quiet, although it has a bit of a high pitched sound to it. You won’t hear it over the TV, and neither will anyone else sitting in the room. The vibrations are high and buzzy.

The Fukuoku is made of plastic and the sleeves are silicone, so it’s body-safe, phthalates-free, non-porous, and latex free. It’s easy to clean. The sleeves can be safely cleaned with antibacterial soap and warm water, or they can be run through the dishwasher on the top rack to sanitize them. The unit itself is not waterproof, and can best be cleaned by wiping its surface with a clean cloth wetted with alcohol, then dried with a second cloth. If necessary, water-based lubricants are safe to use.

So, Does It Work?  While the vibrations are fast and buzzy, they don’t seem very intense.  They do feel good, however: this is a nice toy to use for foreplay or warmup.  I didn’t notice much difference in the sleeves, even when grinding my finger into my clit.

The Fukuoku is hard enough to allow me to get the pressure I needed and wide enough to cover plenty of area with tingly vibrations.  It gets me in the mood by itself, and it will get me to orgasm, but it takes a really long time.  Combined with other stimulation, however, it works quite a bit faster.

I do like having the vibe on my finger.  It’s a lot easier than trying to hold a bullet or small clit vibe in place.  The material really transmits the vibrations to my finger as well.  There’s no getting around that, but it can make my finger a bit numb.

This is great to travel with – it takes up little space and is easy to throw into a purse or suitcase.  The battery life is also decent.
