Embrace The Vibrations

Spring is in full bloom, at least most places, and it’s a great time to explore some of the new vibrating toys from Cal Exotics! This month I received the Embrace Beaded Probe for free to review, as part of Cal Exotic’s Sexpert program.

probeboxThe Embrace Beaded Probe comes in a black slip-cased box. The slip-cover has product information and a picture of the toy on the back. The box itself is suitable for storage, and contains the probe, which rests in foam, and underneath the foram and a cardboard insert are a small instruction slip and a USB charging cord.

probefromsideThis probe comes in three colors – grey, purple, and pink, and I received mine in purple. It’s made of silicone for the insertable portion, and it has a PU-coated ABS handle/base. The probe is 4 1/2″ long overall, with about 3 3/4″ insertable, and it’s set at an angle on the base. The silicone is fairly slick and the probe is firm. Where the probe attaches to the base it does have some flexibility.

probeflex

The insertable portion of the probe consists of 4 bubbles. The top bubble, which is inserted first, is the largest at 1” in diameter. The three remaining bubbles decrease quickly in size down to just 1/2″. This helps keep the probe in place once it’s fully inserted.

The probe’s base is firm and about 4 1/4″ long. It has a small ball on the front that can be used for external stimulation, and the back of the handle has a looped opening that works well for control – it’s wide enough to accommodate one-two fingers.

probewithcableOn the bottom of the base is the charging port. The USB cord plugs into the port, and the toy can be charged with a USB wall adapter, or plugged right into your computer.  The port is covered with a silicone layer, making the probe waterproof and suitable for use in the shower or bath.

This toy charges in just 70 minutes and will run on high for 2 hours, or low on 3 hours. It comes partially charged, but should be fully charged before the first use.

When charging, the power button, which is located on one side near the base of the shaft, will flash white on and off, and the light will glow steady when the charge is complete.

probehandleThe Embrace Beaded Probe is easy to turn on by pressing the power button. It starts on a low, steady vibration, and subsequent pushes of the button will cycle through all 7 of the probe’s vibration levels and patterns. To turn off the probe, hold the power button for about 3 seconds. It’s pretty quiet, especially when fully inserted, and the vibrations are decently strong. The handle transmits the vibrations well, providing stimulation to external areas.

This toy is easy to clean with antibacterial soap and warm water, and you can also use toy wipes or a toy cleaner. It doesn’t pick up a lot of dust, but it’s a good idea to wash it both before and after use. It’s best to store in its box, but it can also be stored with its charger in a toybag. Water-based lube is recommended – if you prefer silicone lube, do a spot test towards the bottom of the shaft before use.

probeinhandSo, Did It Work? I love vibrating anal toys, and this is a fun probe. It’s on the smaller side, so it’s easy to insert, even though it doesn’t have a tapered tip, and it stays in place well during use. The vibrations feel good inside, and they transmit well for some additional stimulation externally as well.  Using this and a clit vibe, I can come pretty easily. I like the patterns this one has, and I especially love that it’s rechargeable, with a quick charging time.

The handle on this, with the finger loop, is great – it allows for more control if thrusting this at all, which is especially helpful with lube-covered hands.

The only thing that could be better is the power/function button. It’s very easy to press, and it’s easy to change the pattern when you don’t mean to. I do like that it only changes the pattern, though, and doesn’t turn it completely off.

Thank you to Cal Exotics for sending me the Embrace Beaded Probe for free to review! If you like vibrating anal toys that stay in well, are smaller, and are rechargeable this is a great one to pick up.

TMI Tuesday: Fill In The Blank

Fill in the blanks.

1. My favorite month is July because  it’s actually warm, the garden’s growing like crazy, I can be outdoors and get a bit of a tan, and there’s close to 0 percent chance of snow so the outdoor pool is open.

2. I love to feel a fresh breeze. Whether that’s outdoors at home, or on the beach on vacation. Breeze, mind you – not a crazy amount of wind.

3. I love a good romp in the shower, with the steamy water surrounding me.

4. A long, lazy oral session is what I like to have as a treat for breakfast but a good hard fucking is what I want for dessert.

5. The hobby I enjoy most is writing.  Mostly short stories, and primarily horror and erotica.

6. I came 16 times last weekend in one play session and screamed myself hoarse, oh my!

7. I understand I’m holding on by a slim thread to my sanity. And sometimes I think my grip is beginning to slip.

8. Private sessions with three or four fingers  inside. The best way to cum.

Bonus: What is it? Explain how you would use it.
whatisit_may13I have no idea what this is. My best guess is some kind of liquid candy, probably cherry flavored, that I’d pour onto my tongue.

Set Sail

I’m always looking to expand my dildo collection. Why, you ask? It’s true that I have a wide variety of dildos already, but I don’t have as many realistic ones as I’d like. Many of the ones I do have are thicker, and there are times when I want one more average-sized.  I picked the Admiral to review for free this month from Good Vibrations, in exchange for this unbiased review, as it looked like it would fill all of those needs.

admiralboxThe Admiral silicone dildo from Pleasure Works comes in a cardboard box with the product featured on the front and back.  Inside, the Admiral comes in a plastic bag. The box isn’t the best for storage, so you’ll want to use a toy bag or keep it on your sex-toy shelf.

admiralaloneThis dildo comes in three colors: vanilla, caramel, and coffee, and I received mine in the coffee color, which is a rich, chocolate-y brown.  It’s made of silicone, and it’s decently squishy, yet holds its shape nicely.  The surface isn’t tacky, but it does have a bit of drag, which lube takes care of nicely.

The Admiral is 7 1/2″ long, and realistically shaped. Its head is detailed and has a small ridge, but the ridge is soft and doesn’t cause any discomfort during use.  The shaft is just 1 1/2″ wide, gently curved, and has a light veined texture. It’s firm, yet flexible, and feels good internally. One thing that’s nice is the base, which is fairly flat. The balls are textured and easy to grip onto, and the base width is thin enough to allow the Admiral to work in a harness for vaginal or anal use.

admiralflexThis dildo is easy to clean before and after use. It can be washed with antibacterial soap and water, boiled, or run through the dishwasher without soap. Once dry, it can be stored in a toy bag or on the toy shelf.

Water-based lube is recommended, although if you prefer silicone, do a spot test on the base to make sure there’s no reaction between the toy and the lube.

So, Did It Work? I like the Admiral.  This is one of the thinner dildos I have, and I really like how it feels internally. Vaginally, the curve works well, and the head is firm enough to hit my G-spot during use. The balls make it easy to keep the curve going the right direction, and they also help to hold onto it with lube-covered hands and thrust.   It works anally as well, although I prefer smoother heads.

Thank you to Good Vibrations for sending me the Admiral for free in exchange for this review!  If you’re looking for a realistic dildo with good texture, length, and flexibility, yet not too large, the Admiral is a good choice. You can pick one up at Good Vibrations by clicking the banner below.

Back To Basics

It’s April, and you can tell spring is near by the wild changes in the weather: sunny one day, snowing the next. It’s also a great time to review new products from Cal Exotics! This month, as part of their Sexpert program, I received the Silicone Basics Long John dildo for free in exchange for this unbiased review.

calexlongjohnboxThe Silicone Basics Long John comes in a clear plastic, easy-to-open clamshell case. The toy is displayed through the front of the case, with a paper insert behind it that lists its features. This dildo is available in ivory, pink, and brown, and I received mine in ivory, which is a light flesh-tone color.

longjohninhand2The Long John is 7” long overall,  with about 5 3/4″ insertable. The head is detailed, and the lightly curved shaft features veined detail. This dildo is made of silicone, and it’s got a nice squish to the surface while still being firm. The shaft is flexible, yet holds its shape well. It’s 1 3/4″ in diameter at its widest, so it’s best for those who like a bit more girth, and it can be used vaginally or anally. The balls are small and thick, and work well to hold onto when thrusting the Long John, although they won’t work well in a harness due to their size.  The base is slightly rounded on the bottom, so this dildo may have some trouble standing up on your toy shelf.

longjohnaloneThis dildo is easy to clean, and should be cleaned both before and after use. It can be washed with antibacterial soap and hot water, boiled on the stove, or run through the dishwasher in the top rack (no soap). When dried, it can be stored in a toy bag or box.

Water-based lube is recommended, but if you prefer silicone, do a spot test on the base to make sure there’s no reaction between the lube and the toy.

So, Did It Work? This is a pretty nice dildo. It’s soft and a bit flexible, which makes inserting it a breeze. The curved head hits my G-spot just right, and it definitely feels filling. The balls and thick base work well to hold onto when thrusting, even with lube covered hands. The base could be a bit flatter, as the Long John doesn’t want to stand up on my shelf – rather it wants to rock and lean against my other toys.  It doesn’t have a lot of frills, but it works well, which is what matters.

Thank you to Cal Exotics for sending me the Basics Long John to review this month as part of their Sexpert program! If you’re looking for a silicone dildo that’s thick, flexible, comfortable to use, and curved for G-spot stimulation, the Long John is a good one to look at.

Booty-licious

March madness is here! Well, maybe it’s really spring madness, but there’s nothing I’m looking forward to more than the weather warming up and reviewing new toys. This month as part of the Cal Exotics’ sexpert program, I got to review the Booty Call Booty Vibro Kit for free in exchange for this unbiased review.

calexboxThe Booty Vibro Kit is available in pink and black, and I received mine in pink. It comes packaged with information on the box, as well as small pamphlets inside.

calexfrombox

The controller and both probes are sealed in plastic inside the box. This is a pretty versatile kit, as it can be used in several ways.

calexprobeinhandBoth probes are made out of smooth silicone. The first probe has a classic shape, with a tapered tip. It’s 5 ½” long overall, with 3 ¾” insertable. The tip is smooth and narrow to help with insertion, and the probe is only 1” wide at its widest point. The neck is just 3/8” wide, which will help the probe stay in place.

calexbubblesinhandThe second probe consists of a series of 4 gradually larger bubbles. This probe is 6” long overall, with 4 ½” insertable. The smallest bubble is just ¾” in diameter, while the largest bubble is 1 ¼”. They are easy to insert, although they may not stay in as easily as the smooth probe due to the very small neck.

Both probes have holes in the base to accommodate the bullet, but the hole can also be used for gentle manipulation with a finger.

calexbulletinhandThe silver bullet is 2” long and 1” wide. It’s made of ABS plastic with silver plating. It’s attached to the controller by a 31 ½” cord. The controller is made of PP (Polypropylene) , and has a teardrop, flat shape. It’s easy to hold, although very slick. The battery compartment lid is hinged on the back, and the controller holds 2 AAA batteries, which are easy to insert.

calexremoteThe bullet is controlled by a spin wheel on the right top side of the control. The bullet has speeds ranging from low to high. The vibrations in the bullet alone are fairly buzzy, and moderately quiet. The bullet can be used for stimulation on its own, or it can be used in the probes.

For vibration in either probe, simply slip the bullet in through the ringed base. The bullet fits snugly, but isn’t hard to either insert or remove.  When turned on, the bullet produces vibrations that travel well through the silicone.

calexprobewithbulletThe probes are easy to clean. They can be washed with antibacterial soap and water, boiled, or run through the dishwasher. The bullet is not waterproof, nor is the controller, so care should be taken when cleaning these pieces: the bullet can be carefully washed with soap and water and dried, and the controller can be wiped off with a wet cloth, if necessary, and dried. This set can be stored in the box it comes in, or in a toybag.

So, Did It Work?

This is a fun set! I like that it comes with 2 differently shaped probes, so I can use the one that strikes the moment. I did find the more classically shaped probe to be easier to insert, but after warming up with that, the bubbled probe wasn’t a problem (it’s always those bubbles that get to me), and the spaces between the bubbles allowed for an easy resting place before continuing. The hole in the base is large enough to slip a finger in, and it works well to gently thrust either probe.

calexbubblewithbulletThe bullet works well in both probes. The silicone transmits its vibrations well, and I can feel the vibrations inside. I like the bullet in the classically-shaped probe the best: since this probe has a longer neck, the bullet sits right outside on my skin and sends vibrations to the whole area. While the vibrations are what you’d expect from 2AAA, they’re quite enough for me, especially anally, to orgasm from.  I do wish the bubbled probe has a longer neck to it, so it felt more securely in place when fully inserted. I think with a longer neck, it would transmit the vibrations to the whole area like the other probe does.

The Booty Vibro Kit is one I’d recommend, particularly if you like smaller anal toys and enjoy anal vibration. Even if you don’t, you can use the bullet on your clit and insert the probes with no vibration.
