Hitachi’s Little Helper

Along with the Hitachi, I reviewed a few attachments for this powerhouse vibrator. This review was published with non-exclusive rights on another website. I’m reposting it here (with a few edits.)

The Jollies Curved Hitachi Attachment is an insertable accessory for the Hitachi wand vibrator. It comes packaged in a simple plastic bag. The attachment is a lovely pink color with shimmers throughout. It’s smooth and seamless, and made of 100% medical grade silicone.

pinkhitachicapSilicone is non-porous and hypo-allergenic, as well as phthalates free, so it’s safe for your body. Silicone repels dirt and bacteria, and can easily be cleaned with soap and water, or sterilized by running it through the dishwasher (top rack), boiled, or cleaned with a 10% bleach solution. Make sure to sterilize the attachment if you plan on sharing it with someone else. Only water-based lubricants should be used with the attachment.

The attachment is 7” long from base to tip. The bulb part that fits over the Hitachi head is about 3” wide at its widest, and the opening is about 2” wide. While the attachment is marketed for the Hitachi, it will fit other wand style massagers with head size similar to the Hitachi. It slips easily over the massager head and grips it so that it won’t slip or slide around. It is also easy to remove when finished. It’s not necessary to apply lube inside the attachment to put it on the massager’s head, and doing so will cause it to move and twist around.

pinkcaponhitachiThe insertable part of the attachment measures about 5” long along the curve, with about 4” insertable when measured straight top to bottom. This part has a gentle curve for g-spot stimulation. It is firm, yet flexible, and measures about 1 1/4” in diameter.

It works best to use lubricant and insert the attachment before turning on the Hitachi; otherwise the strong vibrations make insertion difficult. Once inserted with the Hitachi turned on, the attachment transmits the vibrations evenly up and down its length, and will cause you to clench your vaginal muscles around it to hang on for the ride.

Unless the Hitachi is angled (somewhat awkwardly) so the base comes into contact with your clitoris, this provides just direct and intense internal stimulation. This may be ideal for those looking for g-spot orgasm without other stimulation.

The attachment can also be used for direct clitoral stimulation by using the insertable piece against the clitoris. The attachment dampens somewhat the intense vibrations of the Hitachi for those who find it too much to use without a barrier of some kind.

Intense anal stimulation is also possible with the attachment, although the tip of the attachment is a bit difficult to insert due to its flexibility.

This is one of three attachments I have for the Hitachi, and it gets quite a bit of use. I really like how this feels, and it’s particularly good when I don’t want clitoral stimulation or want to use a different toy there. I don’t use this much just on the clitoris as I prefer the stronger direct sensations of the Hitachi without a barrier.I’m not brave enough to use this anally until I get some kind of a power adjuster for the Hitachi itself. This attachment has remained in good shape and shows no signs of rips, tears, or damage.
Although the Jollies curved Hitachi attachment is no longer available, you can find similarly shaped attachments, and other Hitachi attachments, at Pink Cherry.

You Get Me Closer to God

hitachiAnother early review I wrote was for the Hitachi Magic wand, now called the Original Magic Wand Vibrator, which was published with non-exclusive rights on another website. I’m reposting it here (with a few edits) because I thought it was a fun review of this often-reviewed product.

Is another review really necessary for the best invention of the 20th century? No.

Am I going to write one anyways? Yes.I don’t think enough good can be said about this wonderful, wonderful toy. I’m not sure why it took me so long to get one, but now that I have one I feel like I’ve joined the Cult of the Intense Orgasms and I’ll never go home. Keep the deprogrammers away from me!First, a little about this marvelous invention; The Hitachi, or the Original Magic Wand, comes with a one year manufacturer’s warranty. It weighs about 1.25 pounds, and is somewhat bulky in appearance. It has a 9” handle, which attaches to a soft, flexible head about 2 1/2″ in diameter.

The Original Magic Wand has two speeds – 5000rpm (low) and 6000 rpm (high). Sound like a lot? It is!
A CD is between 200 – 500rpm.
DVDs are between 630 – 1530rpm.
A washing machine is between 500-2000rpm.
Your car’s engine is between 700 – 7000 rpm.

This toy is plastic, and can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap, or wiped down with isopropyl alcohol. It’s not waterproof, so be careful around water!

The Original Magic Wand actually works wonders on your sore neck, shoulders, and back. Its original use was as a massager, and it really eases tension and pain in these areas. It has a 6’ power cord, so you can plug it in almost anywhere. It’s one of the few toys I have that’s safe to leave out – the kids would never know what else it could be used for!

The instructions that come with this toy state that it shouldn’t be used longer than 25 minutes at a time. While this might seem short for a massage, it is more than long enough to achieve orgasm.

Even after reading a lot of reviews on this, I still couldn’t believe it was really so powerful. I was willing to give it a shot, though. I left my panties on, plugged it in, sat down and positioned it on my clit. I thought I’d try the low setting first.

When I turned it on, it almost brought me to my knees. It probably would have if I’d been standing up. The most intense sensation I’ve ever felt! I think it took me all of three minutes to have an incredible orgasm that brought tears to my eyes. Wow!

I had to try it on high later, and it was so intense it was scary. I usually take 20 to 30 minutes to cum with my trusty egg vibe, which is fine as it really gets me going while we’re having sex, but this was so incredible! A great and quick way to get the release I needed, and especially fast!

When my husband found it, I told him it was a back and neck massager, but he knew better (he watches too much porn). He knew exactly what it was and exactly how to use it on me. I had expected to use this as a solo toy, but my husband found it useful during our bondage play. He had me tied up and blindfolded, and then went and got this to give me some forced orgasms. I think I died and went to heaven ten times that night. It’s rather insidious to use that way, but a great addition to our kinkier play.

Although this is not my favorite vibrator for play with my partner (it takes me to orgasm too darn fast), we do use it on occasion for forced orgasm play. It works very well for that!I love to use this toy solo, when I don’t have a lot of time to get off. It consistently brings me to orgasm in 5 minutes or less, which is very fast for me. I also love to use this with attachments. We even use this sometimes for its “intended” use of back massage. I wish it was a bit quieter, but it really can’t be beat for fast clitoral orgasms. I hope it lasts forever!

The Window To The Soul

This summer I’ve been reading a lot of genres that I haven’t in a while. Having just finished I. M. Telling’s The Slave Factory: Total Power Exchange, the author provided me with a copy of his newest book, In The Eye Of… , a real departure in subject matter for me, for free in exchange for this review.

InTheEye_NEW_FULLIn The Eye Of… was published in 2014 by Late Night Publishing. It’s 315 pages, and is available in both paperback and digital formats from both Amazon and Smashwords.

In The Eye Of… tells the story of a the Washington family at a critical time in their lives. The story begins when Phillip visits Reverand Johnson at the Baptist church to talk about a change in his life. Phillip had met his wife Nadine under sad circumstances twenty years before, when he had to break the news to her that her husband, and Phillip’s best friend Johnnie, had been killed overseas in the army. Nadine had been pregnant, and Phillip visited her often to talk or help out, falling in love with her and marrying her against her father’s wishes. It wasn’t that Phillip was a bad man, but he was black, and Nadine was white, and this didn’t sit well. To gain her father Nathan’s blessing of the marriage, Nadine and Phillip promised to not have a child of their own.

Phillip raised Nadine’s daughter Kelly as his own, and the years flew by. Now Kelly had turned 18, and Nadine’s father had died six months back. She felt this released them from their promise not to have children, but Phillip was convinced a promise was a promise and was determined not to break it. Nadine wanted a child badly, and the Reverand helped Phillip to see that having a child now would be the right thing to do.

Although Phillip was ready to have a child with Nadine, fate had other plans.  Nadine’s biological clock was ticking, and soon she and Phillip would realize that they might have waited too long. To have the child they longed for, Phillip and Nadine would set on a journey of discovery with the help of their Reverand, a journey of sacrifice, acceptance, and what was acceptable in the eyes of God.

In The Eye Of… is quite a departure from the books and stories I’ve read of I. M. Telling’s before. Instead of a strong sexual component (there are sex scenes, but these don’t drive the story), the book focuses on the ethical and moral dilemmas a family faces when trying to conceive a child. The story line is intriguing, and does make you pause and consider if you’d make the same choices this family did, from the initial promise to the final decisions. Some readers may be a bit uncomfortable with the choices the Washingtons make..

Thank you to I. M. Telling for sending his newest book to me for free to review! If you’d like to read In The Eye Of…, you can pick up a copy at Amazon or Smashwords.

The Sherbet

A long, long time ago (February 2008 to be exact) I wrote my very first sex toy review! Hard to believe I’ve been reviewing them for so long. I’ve written  hundreds of reviews since (for sex toys, lingerie, and DVDs), but I thought it would be fun to revisit this, my very first. This review was originally posted on another site, with non-exclusive rights, and I’m reposting it here, with some picture additions.

The Sherbet by Tantus (flash picture)

The Sherbet by Tantus (flash picture)

The Sherbet dildo/vibrator has a lot going for it. It has light vibrations when used as a vibrator, and overall, it does its job well. The only problem is removing the vibrating bullet easily from the base.

Sherbet, no flash

Sherbet, no flash

The Sherbet dildo  by Tantus has a lot going for it. Being made of silicone, it doesn’t have that jelly smell to it that is so hard to get rid of. It is a pleasant light green color (just about the color of lime sherbet), which was not intimidating to my partner. At seven and a half inches long, it is a good length (seven inches insertable). It is just over an inch and a half in diameter, which was just the right thickness for me.The head has an interesting swirl texture. Initially, I found it not as comfortable as a smooth head, especially when inserting; although using plenty of lubricant, it felt fine. Once it was inserted, the swirls created a pleasant sensation.

The Sherbet is firm but not so rigid that it doesn’t flex with you. The base is flared, as you can also use this as a strap-on in a harness. It provided a good grip for thrusting, both by my partner and by me.

The Sherbet flexibility

The Sherbet flexibility

I was intrigued by the insertable bullet vibrator that came with it. It is powered by watch batteries, which are included. When the bullet is inserted into the base of the Sherbet and twisted, it provides pleasant vibrations, not too intense, spread evenly up and down the entire length of the shaft. It is not very noisy at all.

This was my first experience with a silicone vibrator, and it was very enjoyable. The only problem with the bullet is that it is not easy to remove. I thought it would just slide out, but instead, I had to get a pair of long-nosed pliers to remove it from sherbettipthe base. If you only intend to use this as a vibrator, this isn’t too much of a problem as you can unscrew the base of the bullet to replace the batteries, but if you want to alternate use as a dildo and vibrator, make sure you keep an extraction tool handy. The bullet removal and reinsertion may get easier over time, but it may take a while.  I also think it is better to remove the bullet before washing, so it does not become damaged.

Overall, the Sherbet dildo-vibrator is pleasant and effective, and I would definitely recommend it.

sherbetbaseAfter over 5 years, I still use this on occasion.  I gave up on using it as a vibrating toy, as the bullet was far too difficult to remove. The color is not as bright as it once was, but I like the shape and size of this, and it does attach well to my fucking machine as well as my heel harness.
Although Tantus no longer makes the Sherbet, they do make some wonderful toys, which you can check out by clicking the banner below.

Embrace The Vibrations

Spring is in full bloom, at least most places, and it’s a great time to explore some of the new vibrating toys from Cal Exotics! This month I received the Embrace Beaded Probe for free to review, as part of Cal Exotic’s Sexpert program.

probeboxThe Embrace Beaded Probe comes in a black slip-cased box. The slip-cover has product information and a picture of the toy on the back. The box itself is suitable for storage, and contains the probe, which rests in foam, and underneath the foram and a cardboard insert are a small instruction slip and a USB charging cord.

probefromsideThis probe comes in three colors – grey, purple, and pink, and I received mine in purple. It’s made of silicone for the insertable portion, and it has a PU-coated ABS handle/base. The probe is 4 1/2″ long overall, with about 3 3/4″ insertable, and it’s set at an angle on the base. The silicone is fairly slick and the probe is firm. Where the probe attaches to the base it does have some flexibility.

probeflex

The insertable portion of the probe consists of 4 bubbles. The top bubble, which is inserted first, is the largest at 1” in diameter. The three remaining bubbles decrease quickly in size down to just 1/2″. This helps keep the probe in place once it’s fully inserted.

The probe’s base is firm and about 4 1/4″ long. It has a small ball on the front that can be used for external stimulation, and the back of the handle has a looped opening that works well for control – it’s wide enough to accommodate one-two fingers.

probewithcableOn the bottom of the base is the charging port. The USB cord plugs into the port, and the toy can be charged with a USB wall adapter, or plugged right into your computer.  The port is covered with a silicone layer, making the probe waterproof and suitable for use in the shower or bath.

This toy charges in just 70 minutes and will run on high for 2 hours, or low on 3 hours. It comes partially charged, but should be fully charged before the first use.

When charging, the power button, which is located on one side near the base of the shaft, will flash white on and off, and the light will glow steady when the charge is complete.

probehandleThe Embrace Beaded Probe is easy to turn on by pressing the power button. It starts on a low, steady vibration, and subsequent pushes of the button will cycle through all 7 of the probe’s vibration levels and patterns. To turn off the probe, hold the power button for about 3 seconds. It’s pretty quiet, especially when fully inserted, and the vibrations are decently strong. The handle transmits the vibrations well, providing stimulation to external areas.

This toy is easy to clean with antibacterial soap and warm water, and you can also use toy wipes or a toy cleaner. It doesn’t pick up a lot of dust, but it’s a good idea to wash it both before and after use. It’s best to store in its box, but it can also be stored with its charger in a toybag. Water-based lube is recommended – if you prefer silicone lube, do a spot test towards the bottom of the shaft before use.

probeinhandSo, Did It Work? I love vibrating anal toys, and this is a fun probe. It’s on the smaller side, so it’s easy to insert, even though it doesn’t have a tapered tip, and it stays in place well during use. The vibrations feel good inside, and they transmit well for some additional stimulation externally as well.  Using this and a clit vibe, I can come pretty easily. I like the patterns this one has, and I especially love that it’s rechargeable, with a quick charging time.

The handle on this, with the finger loop, is great – it allows for more control if thrusting this at all, which is especially helpful with lube-covered hands.

The only thing that could be better is the power/function button. It’s very easy to press, and it’s easy to change the pattern when you don’t mean to. I do like that it only changes the pattern, though, and doesn’t turn it completely off.

Thank you to Cal Exotics for sending me the Embrace Beaded Probe for free to review! If you like vibrating anal toys that stay in well, are smaller, and are rechargeable this is a great one to pick up.
