Castle Cake
Today’s TMI Tuesday was inspired by Dominic Wilcox Variations on Normal and from questions submitted by Virtual Sin. Both men are brilliantly creative.
1. Have you ever had an idea for an invention that you thought would be commercially viable? Care to share a brief synopsis, photo or sketch?
I haven’t really. Most of my ideas for inventions would probably never get off the ground.
2. Visual arts: Do you do any painting or drawing? Are you a photographer? Sculptor? Ceramist/potter? Silversmith or other? Share one of your favorite works with us, post a photo.
I love to draw and paint – I probably draw more than paint, as it’s easier to sketch something anywhere and flesh it out than it is to get busy with paint and a palette. I love to take photographs, although they’re mostly spur of the moment and not planned photos. I’ve done some sculpting and made some pottery as well, but not enough to make a career of it.

3.?a. Do you write fiction? Poetry? Share with us by linking to your work.
I do write fiction (both erotica and horror), and I also love to write poetry. I don’t have any up on my blog currently though, sorry.
b. Do you make up plots, even if you never write them down?
I’ve done this on occasion, but usually I’ll write them down so I can try and use them.
4. Do you write music? Do you sing or play a musical instrument? An audio clip would be nice 🙂
I don’t write any music, and I don’t sing well (although I am known to belt out tunes in the car or the shower). I play a few instruments for fun: piano, violin, and guitar.
5. Do you write computer programs? What do you like most about that?
I don’t write many programs any more, although I used to fiddle with writing games. I mostly code web pages, which can be fun, but challenging.
6.?a. Do you have a hobby that involves making something? Examples might be woodworking, baking, sewing, etc.
I dabble at sewing and making quilts, mostly from my original designs. I also love to make chocolates and cupcakes. Cakes sometimes too. Cupcakes are probably the most time consuming, but they are a lot of fun to decorate.

?b. What is the last thing you made?
The last things I made were holiday filled chocolates in candy boxes, and chocolate covered Oreos.

Bonus: What is it? How would you use it? Write a caption.
Well, I know what it looks like….but I think it’s really a zucchini. I would slice it up and use it it in a salad, or fry it up with butter and top it with parmesan cheese.
