Even after as many sex toys as I’ve tried, I still have a fondness for egg and bullet vibrators. They’re small, easy to tuck into a suitcase or purse, and they’re also easier to use during sex (particularly missionary) than a big wand. For July, as part of the Cal Exotics Sexpert program, I received one of the new bullet vibrators from the Cal Exotics Posh line – the 10 Function Silicone Pleasure Pack 1 – for free in exchange for this unbiased review.
The Posh Pleasure Pack comes in 4 colors: pink, blue, orange and purple, and all are quite vibrant. I received my Posh in pink, and it’s a bright raspberry color. The toy comes packaged in a cardboard box, with the toy in the color chosen on the front, and information on the back. Inside the box, the bullet, sleeve, and controller are all sealed in plastic bags. A small instruction paper is also included.
The bullet is made of ABS plastic, and it can be used with or without the included silicone sleeve. It has a decently long cord (made of phthalate-free PVC) that jacks into the controller. I like this feature on corded bullets – this allows you to use the bullet in another controller if you have one you prefer with different patterns and power, and it also allows you to use a new bullet with this controller if it wears out or dies.
Posh’s sleeve has a tip covered with nubs, and the design on the sides looks like vines intertwined with leaves. When it’s placed over the bullet, it gives it a bulged appearance, somewhat like a mushroom. The sleeve isn’t too difficult to place or remove, but it does fit snugly.
The controller is made of both plastic and silicone, and the silicone sections have the same pattern as the sleeve. It’s shaped to comfortably fit into your hand. The battery pack is on the back of the controller, and it holds 2 AAA batteries. On the front is one large, easy-to-push button that controls the Posh. A circle around it is backlit with an LED light, which flashes or glows to the pattern or intensity the toy is on.
This toy features 10 functions:
- High, steady vibrations
- Medium, steady vibrations
- Low, steady vibrations
- Fast flutter rev from low to high
- Fast pulses
- Fast wobble between low and medium
- Fast, high flutter
- Moderate pulse
- Strong, longer pulses
- Low flutter
The vibrations are moderately strong and very buzzy, and they’re also fairly quiet (there’s not really any difference when using the sleeve).
To turn off the Posh, the button should be held down for 3 seconds. When turned back on, it will start on the pattern after the one you were on when you turned the toy off.
If you’re using the sleeve, it can be removed from the bullet for cleaning in soap and water. Since the rest of the Posh isn’t waterproof, the bullet should be carefully cleaned and not submerged. The controller can be wiped with a damp cloth if necessary. Water-based lube is recommended, but you’ll likely not need much lube at all, if any.
So, Did It Work? Overall, this isn’t a bad bullet. I like that the sleeve is removable (it can be used as a tickler over a finger), and the silicone didn’t stretch or rip even after taking the sleeve off and putting it back on the bullet numerous times. The controller is comfortable to hold and easy to use, and I really like that I can use a different bullet with it due to the universal jack. The sleeve helps keep the bullet in place and makes it not quite as slippery as when I’m using the bullet alone. The vibrations are strong enough for me for foreplay, and it works well for us during intercourse as well, but they’re not strong enough to make me orgasm the first time (they are for second and subsequent times as I get a lot more sensitive). The one thing I really don’t care for is that the bullet starts on the pattern after the one it’s shut off on. I’d rather it went back either to the first setting (high and steady – which I use the most), or back to the one I was using before.
Thank you to Cal Exotics for sending me the Posh Pleasure Pack 1 for free to review as part of their Sexpert program! You can find more information on the Sexpert program on the Cal Exotics website. Be sure to check out Club Cal Exotics while you’re there as well!
