It’s another month, and time for another review for Cal Exotic’s Sexpert program! CalExotics must have known I wanted something rumbly this month, as they sent the Jumpin’ Gyrator Power Scoop my way.
This vibrator comes in a classic clear and white Cal Exotic’s box, with the product visible through the front and sides. The back and bottom of the box have product information. Inside the box is the vibrator, which rests in a molded tray, and a small paper with battery information.
The Jumpin’ Gyrator is available in 3 colors: blue, pink, and purple. Mine came in purple, and it’s a pretty, deep mauve. The material is ABS Plastic with PU cote, which makes it smooth, satiny, and drag-free to the touch; it’s also body safe and phthalates free. It’s also seamless and odor free. This is a good sized vibrator, at 7 5/8” long overall, with 6 1/2″ insertable. It has a decent 1 3/4″ diameter, and it feels pretty substantial in hand.
This vibrator has a traditional, straight shape, with some variations. One side of the head features a scoop, or concavity, which is about 1 3/4″ long and 1” wide. This doesn’t do much internally, but externally it works well to surround the clit with vibrations. The shaft features a raised spiral pattern, with 2 spirals that gently wrap around the shaft, creating three ridges as they go around.
A silver band separates the shaft from the battery cap. This cap has some small vertical indentations that run around it, giving some traction to lube-covered fingers. Twisting the cap about 1/4 of a turn counterclockwise reveals the battery compartment. The Jumpin’ Gyrator takes 3AA batteries, and the battery directions are clearly labeled. When the cap is securely closed, the vibrator can be used in the tub as well as on the bed.
The Jumpin’ Gyrator is controlled by a push button on the bottom. This button clicks when you press it and change the setting. Surprisingly, this vibrator only has two vibration settings: low steady and high steady. A third push of the button turns it off. The vibrations are nice and strong, and they’re very deep, rumbly, and throbby. They feel wonderful inside as they travel down the shaft quite well, and they’re also strong enough for clitoral stimulation. The vibrations are also pretty quiet and won’t be heard outside the room, especially if you’ve got any kind of background sound.
This is an easy to clean vibrator, and it should be washed both before and after use with antibacterial soap and warm water – you can also use a toy cleaner if you prefer. It can be dried and stored in the box it came in, or stored in a bag or box. The use of water-based lubricant is recommended.
So, Did It Work? I like this vibrator quite a bit. The girth is pleasant, and not too small (I tend to like my toys on the larger side). It has good power, which I expected from 3 AA batteries, and the vibrations are really deep and rumbly. They feel good inside, all the way along the shaft. The spirals don’t add a lot of texture to thrusting, but aesthetically they’re nice. The scoop on the Jumpin’ Gyrator is also something I like. While it doesn’t do anything for me internally, it does allow me to use this vibrator on my clit, and not for pinpoint stimulation. It’s wide enough to cover my clit and the area around it, and it delivers the vibrations well.
Probably the only thing I would have liked to have on this vibrator is a pulsation setting or two. While I love steady and strong vibrations on my clit, I really like having a pattern or two available to change things up internally, although the strong and rumbly vibrations almost make up for this completely.
