You Smell Good Enough To Eat

I love chocolate. I don’t eat it often, but there’s something about the smell of it that can really drive me wild. I’ve used chocolate body washes and even chocolate soap, but I had never tried a chocolate body oil. So when I saw the Sweet Beauty Chocolate Body Oil available from Babeland.com to review, I was eager to give it a try.

Sweet Beauty Chocolate Oil is a chocolate massage and body oil. It comes in a 4 ounce pump top bottle. The ingredients are all natural, and this oil is also paraben and preservative free with no artificial fragrance or color. It’s made with grape seed oil, shea oil, cupuacu butter and babassu sead oil infused with organic Fair Trade cocoa and nibs, cocoa absolute, natural flavor oil, vitamin E, rosemary extract and vanilla planifolia.

Since it is all natural, Sweet Beauty Chocolate Oil needs to be stored in a dark and cool place and has a 6 month shelf life. So don’t horde it, use it!

The pump top is lockable. To open it, simply twist it clockwise 1/4 turn (both open and closed directions are indicated on the top). The oil is easy to dispense. It is runny, so make sure you’ve got the pump in position before pressing down, as the oil may run everywhere.

The scent of this oil is heavenly – it’s a luscious chocolate scent that lingers after it’s rubbed in. Even though Sweet Beauty Chocolate Oil contains cocoa, it’s virtually colorless. The oil isn’t greasy, and absorbs well into the skin. Once absorbed, your skin will feel smooth and sleek to the touch. In no time, you’ll find yourself smelling good enough to eat! While you’ll smell divine, however, you won’t taste chocolaty. The oil has a very light, very faint chocolate flavor, but licking it on your skin is just like licking oil. It’s not unpleasant, but it’s not good, either.

So, Did it Work? I like that this has a pump top, but a word of caution – make sure you don’t tip the bottle or touch the top to anything. The oil will linger in the applicator and will oil whatever it comes in contact with.

For a massage of any length, this oil absorbed much too quickly for me, causing frequent reapplication. For a short, oil-up massage, it worked just fine. I certainly smelled good after being covered with this oil, though, and it really left my skin feeling soft and smooth. My husband loved how I smelled, particularly while rubbing the oil in. The scent lessened once it was absorbed, but he could still smell it on me after quite some time. I could smell it too, and had a hard time not sniffing at my arms and dreaming of chocolate.

If you like chocolate, this is a fun oil to try, and you won’t have any trouble using the 4 ounces before 6 months is up. You’ll likely run out sooner.
