1) What book or magazine have you read recently that turned you on?
Hmmm….mostly I’ve been reading mystery/thrillers lately, but I did reread Carrie’s Story by Molly Weatherfield not long ago – and that book is an amazing turn on.

2) What sort of porn do you watch to get aroused?
It really depends, but typically it’s gangbang or MFM.

3) What is the sexiest song?
This is a tough one, and I can’t narrow it down to just one. So, these are what top my list of sexiest songs.
First would be “Closer” by Nine Inch Nails – I never tire of this one:

I’d also have to put “Feel Like Makin’ Love” by Bad Company here:

“Hey Sexy Lady” by Shaggy:

And last, but not least, “Fever” as covered by Elvis Presley:

4) What music do you like to have on while having sex?
Jazz is always good, and so is heavy metal.

5) When masturbating do you prefer?
A) reading smut?
B) imagination?
C) watching porn?
D) I don’t masturbate
Well, we all know the answer isn’t D. Although I love to read, I’m much more sexually stimulated visually, so definitely C – watching porn.

Bonus:  What is the sweetest sexy song?
This is tough too, and I can’t narrow it down to one. These would be the ones I think are the sweetest:
“I Want You (She’s So Heavy) by the Beatles:

“Wicked Game” by Chris Isaak:

and again, last but not least, “Bad Things” by Jace Everett

TMI Tuesday: 2014 Wrap-Up

fireworks1. It’s the end of 2014. How do you feel? Excited? Eager to see what’s in store for the new year?
Honestly, I’m glad this year is over. There were a few high points and some very good things that happened, but there was also a lot of sadness, and I think I’m ready to move on and look forward.

2. On a scale of 1-10 how satisfied were you with 2014? How satisfied were you with your sex life in 2014? (1 = completely disappointed, 10 = extremely satisfied)
Hmmm…I’m going in the middle with 5. for the year, and 7 for sex life. For the year,  2014 had some good and some bad, but it started off in January in the worst way imaginable, and it took a long time to recover.  My sex life had some high points and low points too.

3. What were your big accomplishments this year?
My biggest accomplishments this year were getting my first story published (major yay!), and writing my first foreward for an online book. Another big accomplishment was starting to learn Japanese. Two alphabets down, one to go.

4. Did you make new year’s resolutions at the beginning of year 2014? How many did you keep?
I did – and I will make some this year as well. Let’s see…last year I resolved:

  • to post a bit more on my blog – this I did
  • write, write, write – I did a lot of writing this past year, and plan to get back in the swing of things this year
  • get better organized – *cough* yes, this was a major pipe dream
  • get in better shape – I was doing great for a while, but then life intervened
  • have more sex – I did, but it could have been a lot more.

5. Out of all that happened in 2014, what are the biggest lessons you learned?
That life really is short, so you had better make the most of it, and that things can change when you’re least expecting them to.

6. What are you most proud of in 2014?
That my first story got published! That was by far the most exciting thing last year, and the thing I’m the proudest of.

7. How did you spend the majority of your free time in 2014?
Writing, and dealing with death. Also studying.

8. Tell us something new you’d like to do or learn in 2015.
I’m taking Japanese again, and I’d like to be a bit more proficient. I’d also like to learn another language in the fall.

Happy New Year!
HappyNewYear

Bonus: How was your sex life in 2014??
a. Great?
b. Good?
c. Not bad?
d. It’ll do?
e. What’s sex?!
I’ll go with b) this year – next year I expect it to be a)!

TMI Tuesday: Oh Behave!

This week TMI Tuesday takes its cue from the world of psychology and sociology, which both deal with behavior.

1. Catharsis – What behavior or activity do you do to achieve catharsis?
This is the time of year that I need to achieve catharsis. I have a lot of sadness this time of year (I know, a rotten time to slink into the blues with the holidays and all), so I go nuts making candy and baking. I’ve always loved to do it, but I tend to do it in overabundance now, spending that day making cookie after cookie, chocolate after chocolate, and trying not to cry in the mix. I think it helps…I guess it must, or I wouldn’t continue to do it.

2. Self-affirmations was made famous by Saturday Night Live character Stuart Smalley (now Senator Al Franken): “I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and gosh-darn it, people like me.” What self-affirmation do you say/or should you say to yourself?
Hmm…I guess something like “I can do this, I know I can do this.” It applies to a lot of things.

3. “I knew it all along.” What did you know all along?
I don’t know if there’s anything I’ve known all along – at least nothing I can think of right now.

4. Daydreaming. About whom or what was your last daydream?
I try not to daydream too much, but usually my daydreams involve frolicking in the shallow waters of the ocean before walking on the sandy beach and relaxing on a beach chair with an umbrella and a pina colada.

5. We all have fears. What fear (real or improbable) have you taken steps against to protect yourself.
I have a lot of fears, I guess, although I don’t consider myself a fearful person. My biggest fear is dying, or the ones I love dying, and how do you protect yourself from that?

6. Relationship churning–How many on-agin off-again relationships have you been in? Why would you say you that you repeat this behavior?
Hmmm….I don’t think I’ve ever been in that kind of relationship.

Bonus: Self-monitoring is the ability to both observe (or measure) and evaluate one’s behavior. It is an important component in human behavior that aids one to measure their behavioral outcomes against a set of standards. What sort of self-monitoring do you do on a regular basis?
I don’t do a lot of self-monitoring, as I’m terrible about evaluating my own behaviors…and I find it somewhat depressing. Probably the only self-monitoring I do concerns my eating and exercising.

TMI Tuesday: Travel

View of Las Vegas

View of Las Vegas

This time of year lots of people travel: Travel to family for the holidays, travel to warm places to escape winter weather and more. For this TMI Tuesday let’s talk travel…

1. My favorite travel companion is _my family. Although traveling with my boss to conferences is also, I must admit, a lot of fun_

2. I pass time on a plane by _drugging up and sleeping if possible. Have I mentioned just how much I dislike flying? I’ve had bad experiences on both big airliners and puddle jumpers, and being comatose is by far the best way to get through it. I have been known to read, or watch the in-flight movie, although having to see Salmon Fishing in the Yemen – twice – had me seriously wishing for a few sleeping pills… _

3. My favorite part of my travel routine is _unpacking in the hotel. Packing is a chore – I always take too much on the way there, and buy too much to fit on the way back…but unpacking either at the destination or when back home is always the best._

4. When you travel with a companion who is the primary planner for the trip itinerary? Who is the primary planner for the days during your trip/holiday?
I usually plan out the trip in detail, no matter if we’re going on a family vacation, or if we’re heading to Sin City. The hotel, the airline, the plans when there, are all done by me. I would love to have a trip planned out for me….

5. In 2014, how many times did you travel for leisure? For business?
This year was one of the few years I didn’t get to travel anywhere for leisure (I’m not counting out-of-town shopping trips, or day trips). I traveled on business a few times – including one kickass conference.

6. In 2014, how many times did you travel more than 100 miles from home? How many times did you travel out of your county/state/region but remained in the same country?
A few. Offhand, I’d say 5 times. Only one of those was out of state.

7. In 2014, How many times did your travels take you out of your country? Where did you go?
Unfortunately, no out of country trips for me this year. I’d like to go on a trip to Japan next year – fingers crossed.

8. Do you use a travel agent? Why or why not?
No – I do my own planning online. The last time I used a travel agent was when I got married – it’s so easy to do everything online now. I might use an agent for a cruise or other special trip, but otherwise it’s online sites for me.

9. For the holiday season, do you prefer to travel/go away or do you prefer to stay home and have friends/family visit you?
I’d like to start traveling on the holidays, but for many years now, Santa was not about to haul gifts to some exotic locale. It is nice to be home and have others visit.

Bonus: Which all-expenses-paid travel destination listed below works best with your interests and why?
a. Walt Disney World ?
b. Tigh-na-mara Seaside Spa Resort A nature lover’s wonderland–hiking, biking, kayaking, wildlife viewing, beachcombing, and health farm amenities.
c. Macau, China The top gambling destination in the world, experience gambling and casino life excess on an unprecedented level

They all sound fun. I’ve been to Walt Disney World a few times – I prefer Disneyland, but between Disney and Universal Studios, I can have a great week. Macau would be interesting, and I think exciting, to visit for the experience. I think Tigh-na-mara would be fantastic as well….that would really be my prefernce…but can I just do all 3 next year?
