Embrace The Vibrations

Spring is in full bloom, at least most places, and it’s a great time to explore some of the new vibrating toys from Cal Exotics! This month I received the Embrace Beaded Probe for free to review, as part of Cal Exotic’s Sexpert program.

probeboxThe Embrace Beaded Probe comes in a black slip-cased box. The slip-cover has product information and a picture of the toy on the back. The box itself is suitable for storage, and contains the probe, which rests in foam, and underneath the foram and a cardboard insert are a small instruction slip and a USB charging cord.

probefromsideThis probe comes in three colors – grey, purple, and pink, and I received mine in purple. It’s made of silicone for the insertable portion, and it has a PU-coated ABS handle/base. The probe is 4 1/2″ long overall, with about 3 3/4″ insertable, and it’s set at an angle on the base. The silicone is fairly slick and the probe is firm. Where the probe attaches to the base it does have some flexibility.

probeflex

The insertable portion of the probe consists of 4 bubbles. The top bubble, which is inserted first, is the largest at 1” in diameter. The three remaining bubbles decrease quickly in size down to just 1/2″. This helps keep the probe in place once it’s fully inserted.

The probe’s base is firm and about 4 1/4″ long. It has a small ball on the front that can be used for external stimulation, and the back of the handle has a looped opening that works well for control – it’s wide enough to accommodate one-two fingers.

probewithcableOn the bottom of the base is the charging port. The USB cord plugs into the port, and the toy can be charged with a USB wall adapter, or plugged right into your computer.  The port is covered with a silicone layer, making the probe waterproof and suitable for use in the shower or bath.

This toy charges in just 70 minutes and will run on high for 2 hours, or low on 3 hours. It comes partially charged, but should be fully charged before the first use.

When charging, the power button, which is located on one side near the base of the shaft, will flash white on and off, and the light will glow steady when the charge is complete.

probehandleThe Embrace Beaded Probe is easy to turn on by pressing the power button. It starts on a low, steady vibration, and subsequent pushes of the button will cycle through all 7 of the probe’s vibration levels and patterns. To turn off the probe, hold the power button for about 3 seconds. It’s pretty quiet, especially when fully inserted, and the vibrations are decently strong. The handle transmits the vibrations well, providing stimulation to external areas.

This toy is easy to clean with antibacterial soap and warm water, and you can also use toy wipes or a toy cleaner. It doesn’t pick up a lot of dust, but it’s a good idea to wash it both before and after use. It’s best to store in its box, but it can also be stored with its charger in a toybag. Water-based lube is recommended – if you prefer silicone lube, do a spot test towards the bottom of the shaft before use.

probeinhandSo, Did It Work? I love vibrating anal toys, and this is a fun probe. It’s on the smaller side, so it’s easy to insert, even though it doesn’t have a tapered tip, and it stays in place well during use. The vibrations feel good inside, and they transmit well for some additional stimulation externally as well.  Using this and a clit vibe, I can come pretty easily. I like the patterns this one has, and I especially love that it’s rechargeable, with a quick charging time.

The handle on this, with the finger loop, is great – it allows for more control if thrusting this at all, which is especially helpful with lube-covered hands.

The only thing that could be better is the power/function button. It’s very easy to press, and it’s easy to change the pattern when you don’t mean to. I do like that it only changes the pattern, though, and doesn’t turn it completely off.

Thank you to Cal Exotics for sending me the Embrace Beaded Probe for free to review! If you like vibrating anal toys that stay in well, are smaller, and are rechargeable this is a great one to pick up.

Kink Of The Week: Orgasm Control

I don’t have very good orgasm control. I can hold back for a while, but when I have to cum, I have to cum. Trying to hold back, for me, often makes my orgasms much more intense than if I just came when I was ready. If I was told not to orgasm, I could only do it for so long, and then it’d be all over.

Forced orgasms, on the other hand, I do enjoy to a point. WHen I’m bound, I like having a wand making me cum over and over, and being powerless to stop it. But after several orgasms, I really feel like I just can’t have any more. Which of course I can, but they’re so intense at that point that I need a break. They aren’t punishment, by any means, and I don’t think even for a sense of control, but just for satisfaction during play.

I’ve heard that people can cum on command, but I’m certainly not one of them. I can be aroused and dripping at just a few words, but I can’t seem to take it all the way. It’s something I’d like to know more about, but I suspect it’s something I’d never be able to achieve.

Booty-licious

March madness is here! Well, maybe it’s really spring madness, but there’s nothing I’m looking forward to more than the weather warming up and reviewing new toys. This month as part of the Cal Exotics’ sexpert program, I got to review the Booty Call Booty Vibro Kit for free in exchange for this unbiased review.

calexboxThe Booty Vibro Kit is available in pink and black, and I received mine in pink. It comes packaged with information on the box, as well as small pamphlets inside.

calexfrombox

The controller and both probes are sealed in plastic inside the box. This is a pretty versatile kit, as it can be used in several ways.

calexprobeinhandBoth probes are made out of smooth silicone. The first probe has a classic shape, with a tapered tip. It’s 5 ½” long overall, with 3 ¾” insertable. The tip is smooth and narrow to help with insertion, and the probe is only 1” wide at its widest point. The neck is just 3/8” wide, which will help the probe stay in place.

calexbubblesinhandThe second probe consists of a series of 4 gradually larger bubbles. This probe is 6” long overall, with 4 ½” insertable. The smallest bubble is just ¾” in diameter, while the largest bubble is 1 ¼”. They are easy to insert, although they may not stay in as easily as the smooth probe due to the very small neck.

Both probes have holes in the base to accommodate the bullet, but the hole can also be used for gentle manipulation with a finger.

calexbulletinhandThe silver bullet is 2” long and 1” wide. It’s made of ABS plastic with silver plating. It’s attached to the controller by a 31 ½” cord. The controller is made of PP (Polypropylene) , and has a teardrop, flat shape. It’s easy to hold, although very slick. The battery compartment lid is hinged on the back, and the controller holds 2 AAA batteries, which are easy to insert.

calexremoteThe bullet is controlled by a spin wheel on the right top side of the control. The bullet has speeds ranging from low to high. The vibrations in the bullet alone are fairly buzzy, and moderately quiet. The bullet can be used for stimulation on its own, or it can be used in the probes.

For vibration in either probe, simply slip the bullet in through the ringed base. The bullet fits snugly, but isn’t hard to either insert or remove.  When turned on, the bullet produces vibrations that travel well through the silicone.

calexprobewithbulletThe probes are easy to clean. They can be washed with antibacterial soap and water, boiled, or run through the dishwasher. The bullet is not waterproof, nor is the controller, so care should be taken when cleaning these pieces: the bullet can be carefully washed with soap and water and dried, and the controller can be wiped off with a wet cloth, if necessary, and dried. This set can be stored in the box it comes in, or in a toybag.

So, Did It Work?

This is a fun set! I like that it comes with 2 differently shaped probes, so I can use the one that strikes the moment. I did find the more classically shaped probe to be easier to insert, but after warming up with that, the bubbled probe wasn’t a problem (it’s always those bubbles that get to me), and the spaces between the bubbles allowed for an easy resting place before continuing. The hole in the base is large enough to slip a finger in, and it works well to gently thrust either probe.

calexbubblewithbulletThe bullet works well in both probes. The silicone transmits its vibrations well, and I can feel the vibrations inside. I like the bullet in the classically-shaped probe the best: since this probe has a longer neck, the bullet sits right outside on my skin and sends vibrations to the whole area. While the vibrations are what you’d expect from 2AAA, they’re quite enough for me, especially anally, to orgasm from.  I do wish the bubbled probe has a longer neck to it, so it felt more securely in place when fully inserted. I think with a longer neck, it would transmit the vibrations to the whole area like the other probe does.

The Booty Vibro Kit is one I’d recommend, particularly if you like smaller anal toys and enjoy anal vibration. Even if you don’t, you can use the bullet on your clit and insert the probes with no vibration.

I Wand You To Wand Me

Now that February’s half over, spring must not be far behind! Regardless of the season, I love to masturbate, and my favorite way to climax is to stimulate my clit. This month, as part of Cal Exotics’ Sexpert program, I got the chance to review the Embrace Body Wand in exchange for this unbiased review.

wandboxThe Embrace Body Wand comes in a slipcovered black box. The outer cover has product information on the sides and back, as well as a picture of the wand in the color chosen (pink or grey) on the back. The box itself is sturdy, patterned black cardboard, and ideal to use for storage. Inside, the Body Wand and the USB charging cable rest in a foam bed, and a small instruction paper is included.

wandinboxThis silicone wand is almost 9” long overall, with two distinct ends. The rounded end is about 2 1/4″ wide and 1 3/4″ long, and is attached to a smaller, somewhat flexible neck. This neck is short, but it allows some movement of the head when pressing it against the clit. There’s a visible seam that runs up and over the head, but it isn’t noticeable during use. The other end, which would typically be the handle, is firm, with a gently tapered tip.

wandfullOn the body of this toy are two buttons on a silicone panel. These are surrounded by a silver plated ABS plastic area. The buttons control the motors in the wand. The Body Wand has two motors, one in each end, so you can use the end you prefer for stimulation. Both ends can be turned on at the same time, or independently of each other.

The wand comes partially charged, but should be fully charged before your first use. A full charge takes about 2 hours, and it will run about 90 minutes on a charge. The plug is long and narrow, and inserts into a small, silicone-covered hole below the buttons on the handle. Once it’s pressed firmly into the hole and plugged into your computer or a USB plug adapter, the wand’s buttons will flash with a white glow behind them to indicate the wand is charging. The lights will glow steady when fully charged.

wandchargingTo turn on the desired end, simply push the button closest to that end. The Body Wand will cycle through 7 functions: low, medium, and high vibration, followed by  pulses and patterns. The vibrations are equally strong in each end, and are fairly quiet.  To turn the Body Wand off, press and hold the corresponding button for about 3 seconds.

Being waterproof, the Body Wand can be used in the shower or tub if desired. It should be washed before and after use with soap and water, a toy cleaner, or wipes. The silicone is slick, so it can be dried off with a towel without leaving fuzz behind. It can be stored in its box, or in  a toybag if desired. Water-based lubes are recommended if necessary; if you choose to use silicone lube, do a small spot test on the underside of the handle to make sure the lube is compatible.

wandinhandSo, Did It Work?  I like this wand quite a bit, and I love that this has two different sides to it. Sometimes, I like to use the wider, more traditional rounded head when I want to stimulate more of the area around my clit.  Other times, I like to use the narrower head, and work the tip on my clit for a more intense stimulation. The vibrations are decently powerful – stronger than several other wands I’ve used, although not as clit-numbingly strong as others – and they’re enough on the high steady vibration to make me cum. I’m not big on patterns on my clit to start out with, but after an orgasm or two, the patterns – as well as the lower steady vibration speeds – are enough to keep me cumming.

wandheadsizeBeing waterproof is also great – this wand has found its way into the tub with me on several occasions since I first received it. The charging time is reasonable, and it holds its power long enough for 1 to 2 sessions.

wandsecondhead2The only tricky thing with the Body Wand, for me, was the buttons. It’s intuitive enough that the button closer to the end in use is the one to press, but I found myself sometimes pressing the wrong one when I wanted to change the patterns, and other times, when I’d be pressing this into my clit, I’d hit one or the other button by mistake.
