It’s L18 And I Like It

It’s the beginning of December, and time to be looking for special gifts for yourself or those close to you. Always up on my list is a new vibrator, and Jopen has some exciting ones to look at. A few weeks ago I reviewed the Jopen Key Comet II, one I’d highly recommend. My first review this month is for the lovely, orgasm-inducing Lust L18 – a rabbit vibrator with all the right curves and power, which I received free from Jopen in exchange for this review.

l18boxThe L18 is part of Jopen’s Lust line, and comes in a white box with colorful circle accents. The product is pictured on the back, along with care and use information. The box has a flip-open lid with a magnetic closure, and is great for storing the toy. Inside the box is the L18 in either pink or purple (mine arrived in pink), a USB charging cord, and a small instruction booklet detailing use and care. It also has a one year warranty.

l18inboxMy Jopen L18 bubble-gum pink. It’s made of silicone with a satin finish, so it’s relatively slick and doesn’t have a lot of drag, but it does have a bit of give when you press the surface. Just a bit of lube (water-based is recommend – if you prefer silicone, do a spot test on the bottom of the base first) makes it slick and easy to insert. The L18 is waterproof, so you can play in the tub as well as in bed.

l18profileThis vibrator has a clean line, no noticeable seams, and is moderate in size. It’s just 7 3/4″ long overall, with about 4 3/4″ insertable. The head is large, and it’s gently curved with a broad surface to hit your G-spot – it’s about 2” long and 1 1/2″ in diameter. The shaft is actually quite narrow, averaging about 1” in diameter from the head to where the shaft meets the base. This shaft is flexible and will move with you.

The clitoral stimulator is 2” long and 1” in diameter. It’s firm, like the head, but flexes out easily from where it joins the base, allowing it to be easily positioned. Both the head and the clitoral arm have a motor. The motors are controlled together.

l18inhandThe L18 also features a loop on the back side of the base. The loop has a 1 1/2″ opening (about 3/4″ wide), that is ideal for inserting 1-2 fingers for better control when thrusting.

This is a rechargeable vibrator, and charges via USB. The charging port is on the bottom of the toy, and a long jack plugs into the hole. The L18 takes just 2 1/2 hours to charge, and will run for 45 minutes on high or up to 5 hours on low (being a high vibration girl, mine goes for 45-60 minutes of use). Red LED lights flash behind the buttons when charging, and glow steady when charging is complete.

The L18 is controlled by two buttons located on the front of the base. Pressing both buttons together for 4 seconds will lock or unlock the toy for use, making this easy to travel with. The top button turns the L18 on and off, and will also decrease the intensity of the motors when it’s pressed and held. The bottom button changes the vibration pattern when pressed, and when pressed and held increases the strength of the motors’ vibrations. The L18 can cycle through 5 vibration patterns (1 steady and 4 pulse patterns), and each pattern can run at the varying intensities. Red light shines behind the buttons when the L18 is in use. The vibrations are quiet, and won’t be heard over any background noise.

l18onsideSo, Did It Work? I really like the L18. I sometimes have trouble with rabbits, as so many have clit arms that are not as long as I’d like. The L18’s is long enough to hit my clit dead-on, and it’s also flexible so that I can get the right angle. The motor in the arm is strong – which for clitoral stimulation is a must for me – and it’s strong enough to get me to orgasm.

Although the shaft isn’t thick, the head is thick and hits my G-spot. The motor in the head is also strong, and the head is firm enough to get G-spot pressure.

l18headI also love that this has a loop on the back for control. There’s nothing worse than not being able to get a good grip on a vibrator, especially if I’m close to orgasm, and this makes it easy for both me and my husband to control.

The 45 minutes of use time might not sound like a lot, but I’ve found that if I’m using this completely on high that it will easily get me through 2 separate sessions before having to recharge.

The only thing that might make the L18 better, for me, would be to have separately controlled motors, so I could have steady vibrations on my clit and a pattern inside.

Stars In My Eyes

Jopen has some fun looking products. I’ve got quite a few of their Vanity line, including the VR line, including several of the rabbits and the VR9, but I hadn’t had an opportunity to try their other toys. I was excited to receive recently the Key Comet II, a G-spot vibrator, from Jopen for free in exchange for this review.

cometouterboxThe Key Comet II from Jopen comes in blue, lavender, and pink. I received mine in blue, which is a lovely, vibrant peacock blue color. It arrived in a black box with the toy pictured on the front in its color, and information on the back. The bottom half of the box is covered by a slip-cover which, when removed, gives access to the rest of the box. It has a lift-open lid, and inside are the Comet II, a USB charging cord, a storage bag, and a small instruction sheet with how to operate the toy.

cometinfoamThis is a lovely vibrator, with its blue shaft and darker blue handle. The toy has a large, rounded head and a sweeping curve for the shaft which is accented by gentle swirling patterns.

cometinboxThe curve is pronounced, and allows the Comet II to be easily used for G-Spot stimulation. The shaft is insertable to about 5 ¼”, and it’s a smooth, slick silicone that has no drag to the surface. The head is about 1 ½” in diameter, and is the widest part of the toy.

cometinhandUsing water-based or silicone-based lube is a must to insert the Comet II, although you won’t need a lot to make it slick. The degree of the shaft’s curve makes it easy to insert once it’s been lubricated, and the head hits nicely on the G-Spot. The handle is easy to grip and maneuver the shaft and head into the position that’s most enjoyable for you.

The Comet II is rechargeable, and charges via USB connector. The back of the shaft has two magnetic contacts, and the USB cable attaches easily and securely. It takes just 4 hours to fully charge, and then the Comet II will run for 2-3 hours before needing to be charged again. It should not be charged for more than 24 hours.

This is easy to operate. On the handle at the bottom, one side has a large, flat, silver button (made of stainless-steel alloy) labeled “Key”. This is the only control cometbuttonbutton. Pressing and holding this button for 3 seconds turns the Comet II on or off. Pressing the button after the Comet II is turned on will cycle through the 7 vibration and patterned settings. The motor is located in the head, so the vibrations are concentrated where they need to be. They do travel down the shaft and into the handle but are nowhere near as strong. The vibrations are rumbly and intense, and they are also very quiet. Even if you’re using the Comet II’s head for some clitoral stimulation, you won’t need more than quiet background noise to cover the sound.

cometmagportThe Comet II is waterproof, so it’s great to use in the shower or tub. This also makes it easy to clean. It should be washed before and after use with an antibacterial soap and warm water, then thoroughly dried before storing or charging. A black lint-free bag is included for storage, or you can store the Comet II in the box it comes in.

cometchargeSo, Did It Work? I love the Comet II! It’s got a wonderful curve to it, and it’s easy to hold and manipulate against my G-Spot. The motor is located in the head, so the vibrations are strongest where I need them, and they are wonderfully strong. I also like the size and firmness of the head, as it also works well if I use the Comet II for clit stimulation. The silicone on this toy is super slick, so it just takes a bit of lube to ready it for use. The button isn’t easy to press accidentally (which is one of the worst things ever), so you won’t find yourself switching patterns by mistake.

Open and Alert

I really like the Scandal line from Cal Exotics. The twenty items in this collection are all stylish in red and black, and mix and match wonderfully. This month, as part of Cal Exotics’ Sexpert program, I received the Scandal Open Mouth Gag With Clamps for free to review.

collarboxThe Scandal Open Mouth Gag with Clamps comes in a large cardboard box, with a picture of the product on the front and back, each picture showing a different way it can be used. The back of the box also contains product information in several languages. Inside the box are the gag, clamps on chains (the chains protected by wrapping), and an extra ring for the gag.

collarinpackagingThe gag is about ¾” wide. The top half is red with black lacy overlay, while the bottom is velour-like and soft on the skin (the material is polyester). The stitching is secure all around. There are two strap pieces to the gag: the adjustable side, with 8 holes, is about 13 ½” long, and the buckle side (including the buckle) is about 13”.  With 8 The hardware on the straps is nickel-free iron, and the buckles are a nickel-free alloy.

collarclamplinksThe two straps snap around the removable gag ring. This set comes with 2 rings, one nickel-free iron, and the other rubber, both 1 ½” in diameter. The rubber ring is best if you want to be able to close your mouth or aren’t used to the hardness or size of the metal ring. A smaller ring can also be used in place of the rings provided.

With the included rings, the gag can be adjusted from about 19 ½” up to about 23 ½”, so you should be able to get a comfortable fit. Additionally, if you want to remove the gag, it can be dropped down onto the neck as a loose collar.

collarbuckleTwo small D-rings are attached to the gag about 1 ½” away from the ring. These rings are meant to attach the included chained clamps. The chains for the clamps are about 23” long, and are easy to attach and remove from the gag. The attached clamps are about 2 ¼” long, and are made of nickel-free iron. The tips are padded with phthalate free PVC, and the clamps open to about ¾”, so they will work on larger nipples.  Each clamp also has an adjustable screw to change the degree of tightness when the clamp is used.

collarclampThis set is easy to clean. The chains and clamp can be wiped or rinsed off and dried. The gag itself can be cleaned with a damp cloth if necessary, and it can also be washed in a lingerie bag on the gentle cycle in the washer and line dried. The pieces can be stored in the box, but can also easily be stored in a bag or flat in a drawer.

So, Did It Work?
This is a fun set! As I’ve mentioned in previous reviews of the Scandal line, I love the color combination – red and black, for me, is classy and erotic – as it goes with so much of the lingerie I have.  The gag is adjustable, and once we figured out the best angle, it was easy to secure in place.

collaroutofboxI love that this comes with two rings, and that other sizes of rings can be used. While I often think I have a big mouth, the metal 1 ½” ring is just a bit large for me to wear comfortably for long periods of time. Shorter periods I can do, but it’s great to have the option to use a smaller one. The rubber ring I also liked, as it let me close my mouth when I needed to, when the play wasn’t as rough.  This was easy to use as a loose-fitting collar as well, and no problem to get it back into position as a gag.

I’ve never had a gag that had attachments for anything, but being able to have the nipple clamps attached (or not, as the mood strikes) is something else I like about this set. The chains aren’t too heavy to make wearing it uncomfortable, and I particularly like that the clamps can be spread wide to accommodate my nipples – I often have trouble with clams on sets because they are too shallow or don’t open wide enough for me to use.  These were comfortable to wear for long periods of time, stimulating, and, since they’re detachable, I can use them with other collars.

I Wanna Rock

There are so many ways to masturbate. And while I like using my hands, I also like to be able to use my vibrators and toys hands free. I’ve tried several different ones that allow you to rock them, and this month I was happy to receive the Power Play Dual Pleaser for free to review as part of Cal Exotics’ Sexpert Program.
calexinboxThe Power Play Dual Pleaser comes in a large clear clamshell with the product displayed through the front, and a paper insert visible through the back provides product information in several languages. The packagine is easy to open, and inside it are the pleaser, its attached remote, and a small paper with general instructions.

calexoutofboxThis vibrating toy is available in 3 colors: blue, purple, and pink. I received mine in pink, and it’s a rich raspberry color – closer to magenta than pink. Both the controller and Pleaser match in color. The Pleaser is made from smooth silicone, as is the control button, while the controller is made of ABS plastic covered in PU cote and the decor is ABS plastic with silver plating.

calexinhandThe Dual Pleaser is a toy that is meant to stimulate both internally and clitorally, and also to be used hands’free. The toy is 5” long from top to bottom overall. Its shaft is short, with 3 3/4” being insertable, and the shaft is 1 1/4” in diameter. The shaft is curved at the top, and the head is flexile over a rigid shaft which is covered with raised areas that give the Dual Pleaser a nice look. A bulge about midway down the shaft indicates where the motor is located.

The base is 3” long and about 1 1/8” wide at its widest; this piece has a small amount of give. The top side of the base, which reaches from the shaft to the clit, is lightly ringed for added texxture. The silicone the Pleaser is made of has just a bit of give, and isn’t sticky or tacky.

calexremoteThe toy is conected by a 24” power cord to the controller. The controller is large, at 5 3/4” long and almost 2” wide. Its back side is contoured to make the remote comfortable to hold. It has just one button on its front.

Why such a large remote, you might ask? Twist the remote open at its silver dividing line and remove the battery holder, and you’ll see why: the Dual Pleaser runs off of 4AAA batteries instead of the usual two. Battery direction is clearly labeled, and the battery holder is easy to remove and insert into the base. Twist the remote halves firmly back together, and the Dual Pleaser will be waterproof and ready to join you in the shower or tub.

To turn on the Dual Pleaser, press the button once. The Pleaser will start out on low, steady vibration. It has three speeds in all: low, medium, and high, and a fourth push will turn the Pleaser off. The vibrations are fairly strong and quite buzzy,  concentrated in the shaft, and they are a bit loud, especially if the Pleaser is used hands-free and the vibrations transmit through a couch or chair. You’ll need a moderate amount of background sound to cover up your use of this one (it’s louder in the water).

calexbatterypackThis toy is easy to clean with antibacterial soap and water, a toy cleaner, or toy wipes. When dry, it can be stored in a toy bag or box. Waterbased-lubes are recommended, but if you prefer to use a silicone-based lube, do a spot test on the bottom of the base first.

So, Did It Work? The Dual Pleaser is a good size, and it’s comfortable to insert, as well as to sit on. The vibrations are decently strong in the shaft, although there’s only the three steady settings and no patterns to choose from. The size of the clit arm is great – it’s long enough to hit where I need it to.

Unfortunately, while the clit arm is the right size, it’s missing one thing: vibrations. The only bullet in the toy is in the middle of the shaft, and the vibrations don’t transmit well into the base. I need strong vibrations on my clit to orgasm, and they’re missing on this one for me, even on the highest vibration setting.

That Thing You Do

I have an amazing amount of rabbits (sometimes I think they’re breeding in the toy drawers to surprise me), some of which work better for me than others. Last month, I reviewed a compact rabbit; this month, as part of the Cal Exotics’ Sexpert program, I received the full size Entice Charlize rabbit for free to review.

charlizeboxThe Entice Charlize comes in a black box, with a picture of the toy on the front and product info on the sides and back.  Inside the box are Charlize, wrapped in plastic; a USB charging cord; and a general instruction pamphlet.

charlizesideCharlize comes in three colors: pink, raspberry, and purple. Mine arrived in purple, and it’s the signature Cal Exotics warm grape color. This rabbit is made of silicone, which is smooth, silky, and has very little drag to the touch. A gold accent panel lies around the silicone buttons – this panel is made of metallic-plated ABS plastic.

This is a full-sized rabbit, with clean and simple lines. Charlize measures about 7 1/2″ long overall when measured straight up and down, and she has 4” of insertable shaft. The shaft is just 1 1/2″ wide, and it’s widest on the head of the shaft. The shaft itself isn’t round, but more flattened, and the tip is tapered for easier insertion. It’s pretty flexible – except for the upper part where the shaft motor is situated.

charlizeclitflexCharlize has a a longer clit stimulator than many toys – it’s 2 1/4″ long overall, so it should work well for anyone, particularly those who have trouble with clit arms being too short. The arm is 1” wide and has a motor. It’s amazingly flexible, making it very easy to situate when Charlize is in use.

Charlize is rechargeable, and her charging port is on the very bottom of the base. The charging cord is easy to seat firmly into the base, and can then be attached to a computer USB port, or a USB wall adapter.  Red LED lights flash behind the buttons when Charlize is charging, and these lights go out when she’s been fully charged.

charlizebuttonsThis rabbit has two control buttons, located on the front of the base.  The bottom button is the power button, and turns both the shaft and clit arm on and off – when turned back on, Charlize always starts at the first pattern. The top button controls the vibration and patterns for the toy. When first pressed, both the shaft and clit arm motors start up with a steady, moderate vibration.

Pressing the pattern again turns Charlize’s shaft off, but leaves the clit arm on the moderate vibration. Pressing it a third time turns off the clit arm but turns the shaft on to steady, moderate vibration. After that, pressing the button controls both the shaft and clit arm motors, and there are pulsing, escalation, and a combination pattern, before Charlize will go to high, steady vibration. Pressing again, Charlize repeats, starting with the moderate vibrations. All of the vibrations are pretty quiet, and lean towards the buzzy side. They’re moderately strong, and travel well from each motor through the shaft and clit arm.

This is an easy-to-clean rabbit: wash before and after use with an antibacterial soap and warm water, or use a toy cleaner or toy wipes. After drying, Charlize can be stored in her box, but a better bet would be a toybag. Water-based lube is recommended – if you want to use silicone lube, do a spot test towards the base before applying to the rest of the toy.

charlizeinhandSo, Did It Work? I like the look and feel of this rabbit – and I love the flexibility in the shaft and clit arm. Both the shaft and clit arm are easy to position and move with me, which I like. I also love the length of the clit arm on Charlize – it’s just the right length to hit me how I like, so I can get the pressure and direct stimulation on my clit. I also like that this one is quiet and waterproof.

I wish the vibrations were stronger on Charlize, or even a bit deeper – the high, steady vibrations are moderately strong, which is fine internally, but I could use them stronger clitorally. I am also a bit confused by two of the 7 settings – the shaft-only and clit arm-only options. Rabbits are, quite honestly, not vibrators that I use one or the other but not both. My preference is to have the shaft motor and clit arm motor separate, so I can set one on pulses and the other on steady vibrations, both on at the same time. These two settings on Charlize really do nothing for me at all.
