Vibrating Wood!

Recently I had the opportunity to try out a Treeze Realistic vibrator, courtesy of EdenFantasys.  I have to say, vibrating wood is fun!

Mia, Oh Mia!

I just did another video review for EdenFantasys, this time on the Mia from Lelo.  Mia is a deliciously compact vibrator, and she charges via USB.

Cold and Hot Weekend

This weekend was both cold and hot.

Cold because of the weather.  Snow, freezing rain, and winds all led to super cold weather.  It made me want to just curl up under a blanket and veg with the TV for 3 days.  With plenty of coffee.

Unfortunately, I had tons of errands to do, like grocery shopping.  Heaven forbid I’d think to go earlier in the week when the weather was still passably nice.

Hot because of the sex.  Well, our sex is usually pretty hot.  Lately it’s been getting a lot rougher as well, which adds something to the mix.  This weekend, though, we added one element that made it even hotter.

We filmed.

We hadn’t done that in ages, and I admit I was a bit nervous at first, but when it came down to it, there was nothing I could do about it Friday night.  Being tied down and all.

Afterwards we watched it.  Lots of slapping, and some good shots of what I can really fit inside.  My strongest reaction was wow, my ass is seriously red! My face wasn’t so bad – those handprints faded much faster.

It really came out good.

We filmed some on Saturday and Sunday as well.  Some bondage, lots of toy use and fucking.  And it was hot.  So hot, I imagine that’s on the agenda for this weekend as well.

I can’t wait.

I Made a Video!

A video review, that is. It’s for EdenFantasys, and it’s the first one I ever did. I was lucky to be chosen to participate, and it was a lot of fun!

I chose the NaughtiNano from OhMiBod, which got 4 out of 5 stars from me.

The Naughti Nano is a blast to use. Simply set up your play list, plug it in, and rock out to your favorite music while the vibrator pulses along. It works with almost any music genre, although some music lends itself better to the vibration than others. This toy can also be used with an alternative base (included) if you don’t want to listen to music while you play.

Want to make your iPod just a little bit naughty? The Naughti Nano from OhMiBod is a fun take on a standard vibrator. Not only does it work as a traditional vibe, it can be hooked to an iPod, iPhone, or other mp3 player to create unique vibration patterns to the beat of music. It’s actually designed for optimal performance with Apple products.

If you don’t have any kind of portable mp3 player, the Naughti Nano can be used with any CD player, computer, or other device that has an audio out option (small jack) for headphones. While the instructions also mention that you can hook this up to an electric guitar (and I would have loved to try this – imagine, an impetus to practice more), unfortunately my guitar, and I suspect many electric guitars, will have a jack that is too large for the Naughti Nano.

This vibrator can be used to stimulate the clitoris or vagina, although since it doesn’t have a flared base it shouldn’t be used for anal play.

The Naughti Nano is made of plastic, with a soft velvety feel. There is no noticeable seam, and the whole toy is smooth, with no texturing. The Naughti Nano has no taste or smell right out of the box.The Naughti Nano comes in four colors: blueberry, green, magenta, and black. I chose the blueberry, which is a robin’s egg blue color. The color choices allow you to coordinate your Naughti Nano with your iPod, if you so desire.

I like the design of the Naughti Nano. It’s 6 1/4″ long, with 4” insertable. Its diameter is only 1”, so it’s not too large, and it’s rippled design makes insertion a breeze with just a little lubricant. The Naughti Nano has no give to it – it’s a very firm vibrator. I especially like how it comes with two bases: one for vibrating to music, and the other for when you want standard vibrator functions. The Naughti Nano isn’t the most discreet toy – it’s obviously a vibrator – but it’s easy to hide away in its storage bag. The bag is large enough to store everything together except your iPod. The iPod shuffle, however, will fit in the bag just fine.

Use With An iPod
The Naughti Nano is a lot of fun when used with an iPod. There are certain things to keep in mind:

– The vibrations are driven by the volume of the music. The lower the volume, the lower the vibrations. If the volume is too high, the Naughti Nano won’t pulse to the music but will run at a steady thrum. The best range is between 75% and 80% of maximum volume.

– The vibrations are driven by the music genre. I tested this with a variety of music, and it worked the best with music that had a lot of treble and bass. Classical and opera were the most inconsistent, although I found several songs that delivered the vibrations. If you like metal, alternative, rock, pop, rap, or country, it works great! Even disco or classic rock was not a problem.- Pauses in the music create pauses in the vibrations. That’s probably obvious, but if you find you’re getting close you don’t want to have the vibrations suddenly shut off. It’s best to create a playlist and use songs that aren’t soft in the beginning for maximum enjoyment. Longer songs are also better to get rid of pauses. If you aren’t sure what to put in your playlist, the OhMiBod site has a Club Vibe section where people have posted playlists specifically to use with the OhMiBod products. The site includes iMixes which are linked into iTunes.

Use Without an External Vibration Source
To use the Naughti Nano without a music player, simply change the base. The standard base has two buttons: a circle and a triangle. The triangle button turns it on and changes the modes, while the circular button turns it off.

The 7 modes are:
– Low & steady vibration
– Medium & steady vibration
– High and steady vibration
– Fast pulse
– 5 rev cycle that repeats
– rev up with pulses & steady before starting over
– rev up with pulses then rev down

Whether hooked to your iPod or not, the Naughti Nano is about as loud as a cell phone on vibrate. You won’t notice if you have your ear buds in, though!

Unfortunately, the Naughti Nano uses N2 batteries, although it does come with 6 of them in the package. The batteries have average life – I didn’t notice much of a slowdown after 45 minutes of use.

The Naughti Nano is not waterproof, so don’t take it in the shower or bath regardless of which base you’re using.

The Naughti Nano is easy to take care of. It’s made of plastic, and is phthalates-free. It can be cleaned by washing it with soap and water, or wiping it down with isopropyl alcohol.Water-based, oil, and silicone lubricants are all safe to use with this toy.

The Naughti Nano comes in a white box with pictures of all 4 toy colors in a pattern on the front. It reminds me somewhat of the iPod Nano packaging. The Naughti is presented in an actual size picture on the side of the box.Inside the box are the Naughti Nano, a pink velour drawstring storage bag with the OhMiBod logo, 6 N2 batteries, both bases, and the 3 foot splitter jack and cord.

There is also a manual with tips and usage instructions.

The packaging states not to use rechargeable batteries. I didn’t know they made rechargeable N2 batteries! The Naughti Nano comes with a one year warranty against defects.

I really wanted to try this out with my guitar, but jacks are too large to even consider this. I even thought I could plug it into my amp, but again, it wouldn’t fit. It worked well with all of my iPods, though, and that is how I’ll mainly be using it.

This was one vibrator I had been dying to try. I set up my playlists with a wide variety of music, trying to cover all genres, and found that almost everything worked. Classical was the trickiest, but heavier classical pieces were fun.I tried this with songs from Metallica, Marilyn Manson, the Bee Gees, Carl Orff, Bob Seger, They Might Be Giants, Black Flag, Judas Priest, and many others. I even tried a version of “Jingle Bells”, which was fun.

Long pauses between songs were not fun, but I revamped my playlists to have a one second pause, and that worked great.

I really think this is a great concept, and while I would have preferred this to be a g-spot vibrator, it certainly got me in the mood. I tried it as well with a clitoral vibrator, and it was absolutely fantastic.
