Go For The Gold

I love bullet vibrators. My all time favorite uses 6AA batteries and has a pretty permanent place in my toy box. I like the smaller bullets too – whether just teasing myself or using them in cock rings or dildos with removable bullets, they can be great to tease with or sometimes finish the job. The Gold Bullet from the Wicked Pure Gold collection (also called Stormy’s Precious Bullet) looked like a fun one, so I requested this one from Babeland to review.

The Gold Bullet comes in an easy to open plastic case. The bullet is visible through the front and is surrounded by a picture of Stormy, one of their popular contract girls. The back of the case insert has some product information, and inside is the bullet, a small instruction sheet on accessing the battery compartment and placing the battery, as well as 1 N battery so you can start using the bullet right away.

This gold bullet is fairly small, at just 3” long and about 1/2″ in diameter. It’s slick and shiny, and quite pretty. It’s hard and solid, with no give whatsoever. The base twists off to access the battery compartment. One N battery goes in + side first to operate this bullet. An O-ring is at the bottom of the threads to make this one waterproof and ideal to take into the shower or bath.

The bullet has a dial on the base which allows for multiple steady vibration speeds, from barely there to moderately strong. The vibrations are buzzy and mostly surface vibrations. Even on maximum the bullet is fairly quiet, due to how firmly the battery is seated in the compartment and the strength of the vibrations.

This bullet is meant to be used clitorally. While you can use it vaginally as a tease, it’s much too short to do anything internally. This bullet should never be used anally, as it has no flared base and could easily get sucked in.

Since the Gold Bullet is made of plastic, it is non-porous and phthalates-free. It’s easy to clean with some antibacterial soap and warm water, or you can use your favorite toy cleaner. It’s safe to use with water-based or silicone lubricants, if necessary.

So, Did It Work? The vibrations on this bullet really weren’t enough for me. They were only moderately strong when the dial was cranked all the way to the maximum, and their buzziness didn’t allow me to cum with just this bullet alone. It worked fine for a tease, and it was fun to take into the bathtub, but I had to reach for something stronger to climax (clit-o-steel here, you know?). The battery had a fairly decent life of almost 2 hours.

This bullet is the right size to work as a replacement in some of our cock rings and bullet-powered toys, which is primarily where we’ll be using it.

I’d recommend this if you like low to moderate vibrations, and also if you are looking for a small bullet to replace one in a cock ring or other toy that uses one. The N battery lasts longer than watch batteries and provides a bit more power than they tend to.

Give In To Your Desire

As most of you know by now, I love powerful toys. Typically for me, the stronger the better, whether it’s for clitoral or vaginal stimulation (and even anal vibrations on occasion). When I saw the Desire vibe from Babeland and what it ran on, I knew I had to get it to review.

The Desire vibe comes simply packaged in plastic. Inside are the vibrator and a black velvet storage bag to protect the toy when not in use. The bag has a drawstring, and the vibrator fits completely inside.

The Desire I got is a shiny purple metallic color and gleams in the light. It’s about 8” long (6 1/2” insertable) with a 4” circumference (just over 1 1/4″ in diameter), although it looks larger than this. The end is blunt and rounded, and the whole vibrator is shaped like a giant bullet. A small silver band about 1 1/2” from the bottom separates the insertable portion from the base.

The base is easy to unscrew and reveals the battery compartment, which holds 2 C batteries. Yes, C batteries! I love toys operated by Cs! The batteries go in + side down.

The Desire is controlled by twisting the bottom of the base. The vibrations are steady and surprisingly throbby and can go from a low purr to a high intensity. They are strongest in the tip, but travel well down about ½ way down the body of the Desire.

The surface is slick and smooth, and you won’t need much lube at all. This vibrator works great for clitoral stimulation as well as intense internal stimulation. Never use this anally, however, as there’s no flared base and it would easily get sucked up into your ass.

The Desire is made of ABS plastic with a metallic coating. It is nonporous and phthalates free (but do use a condom if sharing). It is splash proof, but not waterproof, so care should be taken when cleaning not to get water close to the base. Simply clean with warm water and an antibacterial soap and dry with a towel.

So, Did It Work? This vibrator is great! I love that it’s powered by C batteries, which I’ve always found to provide an extra oomph. The vibrations are deep and throbby instead of shallow and on the surface, so they feel fantastic whether on my clit or deep inside.

The Desire can be a bit tricky to hang on to when it’s covered with lube, so try to keep the lube above where your hand will be.  Then turn it on and have fun!

Thank you to Babeland for sending this to me for free to review! If you’d like to purchase the Desire for yourself (and who wouldn’t?), you can get yours at Babeland today.

Sunny Days Make Me Feel Fine

Eco-Friendly is the way to go today, in every aspect of life. Some sex toys fall into this category, being recyclable, rechargeable, or able to use rechargeable batteries. But if you go camping or do any other activity that is away from an outlet, you’ve had to hope you didn’t run the charge out on your toy or hope you’ve brought enough batteries to get you through. But now there’s another option: solar powered sex toys. Meet the Solar Bullet from California Exotics that I got from Babeland.

The Solar Bullet comes in a cardboard box made in part of recycled paper product. An actual sized picture is on the front and product information is on the back. The box contains a solar cell power pack and a bullet with a long cord and jack. No instructions are included.

The solar cell pack is small – just 3 1/2″ by 2 1/4″ and 1/4″ high. It’s black, and most of the top is the area which will allow charging via the sun. If you don’t have a lot of sunlight you can also charge this under ordinary room light – I was able to charge mine the first time by setting it on a desk in a room with a fluorescent bulb overhead. An LED light on the side glows blue to indicate that there is enough light to charge it and the battery is charging. The box recommends charging the cell for 8 hours, after which you’ll have 60 minutes of charge for the bullet.

The black bullet is small, at 2 1/4” long and about 5/8” wide. It has a generous 33” cord that plugs into the side of the solar pack. The bullet also has an LED light on the tip, which could be used as a super small flashlight in a pinch. The slider on the top of the pack goes from off/low (with the slider pushed to the right) up to high (left). The vibrations are steady, buzzy, surface vibrations and are moderately powerful.

The solar pack is made of plastic, and the bullet is plastic with velvet-cote. Both are phthalates-free and non-porous. The solar pack should be wiped off with a damp (but not wet) cloth and dried, taking care not to get water in any of the openings (for the slider or jack). The bullet can be cleaned with warm water and antibacterial soap and dried.

So, Does It Work? This is such a great idea! While the charging time seems pretty high, if you tossed the cell pack on your dashboard while you were out hiking it would be ready for you when you returned. Since the bullet detaches, no one would give the solar pack a second look if it was out in the open. The 60 minute run time isn’t too bad, and the bullet doesn’t seem to lose any power during use until it dies.

The light on the tip of the bullet is interesting, and actually quite bright. It’d be great in a pinch, and is like a small flashlight. The only problem is that the bullet has to be on for the light to work. The light seems the same strength no matter what speed the bullet is on, but it’d be nice to have an option to use the light only so your hand didn’t vibrate while using it.

The vibrations are high and buzzy, and not terribly loud. They are moderately strong, and will get you to climax eventually if you need strong vibrations, within the 60 minute timeframe. The light’s a little strange, but my husband thought it was kind of cool when I used the bullet in the dark.

Something else that’s definitely cool is that the solar pack works with other mini-jack toys! I have an assortment of these, mostly bullets, ball strings, and an anal plug or two. They plug right into the solar pack and operate, so you can actually take an assortment of toys with you and power them all with this pack.

This is a great toy: solar rechargeable, discreet, and easy to care for, even if it’s not the strongest. I’d like to thank Babeland for sending this to me for free to review! If you’d like to do your share for the planet, you can pick up your own Solar Bullet at Babeland today.

Love Comes Quickly

I’m getting more used to realistic toys, but I have to admit I still prefer whimsical looking ones. Babeland indulged this preference recently when they sent me the Perfect Pet (My Pet) vibrator to review.

The Pet comes in an easy-to-open clamshell case, visible through the front. Product information is on the back. Inside the case is the vibrator, as well as 3 AAA batteries so you can use him right away.

This is absolutely the cutest little vibrator! It’s a soft pinkish purple on the upper part with a white base. The head and body are made of silicone with a matte finish, so they’re firm with just a bit of give and they have a bit of drag to the surface. The entire toy is 5 3/4″ long with 3” insertable, so it’s on the smaller side.

The Pet has a face like a seal, complete with eyes, nose, and whiskers. The 1 1/2″ diameter head has an indentation on top, which accentuates and gives this little critter more of a nose. The head is bulbous and slightly curved into the body to stimulate the g-spot.

The body is wrapped by four ripples, which for me were more for decoration than stimulation. A noticeable seam runs up the sides, but it’s small and isn’t felt during use.

The Pet has a white plastic bottom which is separated from the base by a silver band. The base is a clear, faceted “crystal”. Turning it counterclockwise less than 1/4 of a turn removes the base to access the battery compartment. The locked/unlocked positions are labeled on the white right above the base.

A removable battery tray comes out, and the battery direction is clearly labeled. This tray sits firmly when holding batteries, and is hard to remove. It helps if you’ve got fingernails and some strong fingers, or a pair of pliers works wonders.

The control button for the Pet is on the front of the toy below the fourth ripple. The button is labeled on/off, and also cycles through the Pet’s vibration patterns, which are:

– High and steady, buzzy
– fast pulse which is throbby and low
– super fast pulse, also throbby and low
– high and buzzy, with three long pulses followed by 5 seconds of steady vibration

A final push of the button turns this off. The vibrations are nice and strong, and especially strong in the tip.  The Pet isn’t too loud, although a bit louder than a vibrating cell phone when in use.

The Pet is splashproof but not waterproof, so it won’t be joining you in the shower or bath. It’s made of silicone on the top and ABS plastic, so it’s non-porous, phthalates-free and hypoallergenic. It’s easy to clean – simply wash with warm water and antibacterial soap, or use your favorite toy cleaner. Only water-based lubricants are safe to use.

So, Did It Work? The design of the Pet really appealed to me. It is adorable! I do wish it was a bit longer, however. The head hit my g-spot, but it would have been easier to hold on to with a few more inches overall.  It also would have been better for thrusting.

I liked the feeling of the head and the firmess it provided, especially on my clit. I could press this down and get the stimulation I needed. The vibrations were quite strong, and I liked that there wasn’t that ridiculously low speed most vibrators have that I can never feel. I would have liked a dedicated on/off button though – there’s nothing worse than having to cycle through settings to when you’re trying to shut something off in a hurry! Luckily there’s only four patterns to go through.

The thing I really disliked about the Pet was the battery compartment. While the battery tray came out fine without batteries, it was hard to put in and get out when it was loaded. At least the base was easy to remove and replace.

Overall, the Pet was a fun vibrator, and if smaller, compact vibrators that have strong vibrations and a cute, non-realistic appearance appeal to you, you’ll enjoy this one.  If you’d like to take home a Pet of your own, you can purchase one at Babeland.com.

Let The Babelight Light The Way

Ever needed a small, discreet vibrator handy, but hate digging through your purse to find one? Need a light on your keychain to help you get the key in the keyhole? Or think sex might be fun in the dark with just a little light to guide you? The Babelight from Babeland may be the answer you’re looking for.

This is really a cute little vibrator. It comes in a rainbow of colors – 6 to be exact. I chose the blue one, and it’s a deep, clear blue. The Babeland logo is printed up one side. I would have preferred a more discreet logo so I could safely put this on my keychain!

The body feels smooth, and you can see the battery inside. The Babelight is just 3 3/4″ long (5 1/2″ total with the keychain) and 3/4″ in diameter at its widest point. The keychain is attached through the plastic at the base. The cap is about 1 1/4″ long, and it’s super slick and shiny.

The cap unscrews to get to the battery compartment. No watch batteries here! The Babelight uses 1 AAA, which goes in positive side up. There is a small O-ring to make this waterproof, and it’s located up under the threads. The battery has a decent lifespan.

The Babelight can be turned on by twisting the cap down on to the base. When the connection is made, it starts to vibrate, and a small light glows from the cap. When held by the keychain, it’s not too loud – about as loud as a vibrating cell phone. If you choose to let the keychain hit the unit, however, it’s a louder.

The vibrations aren’t very strong, and they are quite buzzy. They are felt mainly in the cap end, although you can also feel them down the base. It works well for light clitoral stimulation, but if you need a lot of power, this probably isn’t for you. While it could be used vaginally, it’s really too small to do so effectively, and it should never be inserted anally since it doesn’t have a flared base. While the keychain could be used to pull it out, if it were to snap, you’d have a flashlight stuck up in your ass.

The light isn’t tremendously strong, and glows the color of the Babelight. It is strong enough to eluminate words in a book or a keyhole if you hold it very close. There’s no way to have the vibrator on and the light off at the same time – it’s either both or nothing.

The Babelight is made of plastic, so it’s nonporous and phthalates-free. It’s easy to clean with antibacterial soap and warm water (make sure to have the cap securely tightened so water doesn’t get in).

So, Does It Work? It is a cute little vibrator, and inexpensive to boot. Without the logo up the side I’d be willing to put this on my keychain. The cap stays securely on the base and doesn’t seem to loosen or tighten without some manipulation.

The vibrations are not as strong as I’d hoped, but they’re not bad if you like light stimulation or are teasing yourself before the main course.

And, it’s a flashlight!  It’s fun to use this in the dark and tease your partner.
