And Now Your Moment of Zen

Most of my vibrators aren’t the most discreet looking (or any of my other sex toys for that matter). I have some clitoral stimulators, though, that are awesome – my favorite is disguised as a tube of lipstick, and I’ve got a pen and a few others. But I’ve never had one that looked like a rock. Yes, seriously, a rock. When I saw toy on, I knew I had to check it out.

Zen, a school of Buddhism, puts an emphasis on becoming enlightened through meditation and natural law. Many people associate Zen with Zen gardens, dry landscape gardens constantly pruned and sculpted to enhance meditation. Cal Exotics was inspired by these ideas when coming up with the Zen Calm Massager. Continue reading

Menage a la Rabbit

If you read my reviews, you know I’ve been on a bit of a rabbit hunt to fill out my collection of sex toys. While I’ve found a few rabbit vibrators recently that I adore, they do lack one thing: anal stimulation. I’ve been on the lookout for a toy that’s kind of the “Jack of All Trades” and can do it all, so I was excited to try out the Menage A Trois Triple Tongue Tickler from .

Warm Oil For Cold Nights

Sometimes I like to have a nice, relaxing, romantic evening, complete with massage, incense and candles. I don’t have a lot of massage candles, but I have tried a few, and I’ve found them to be a great way to set the mood as well as provide a warm oil massage, one that both my husband and I enjoy. The new Lelo candles looked different than the ones I had used before, and the scent combinations sounded appealing, so I was happy to get one from to review this month.

The Lelo Flickering Touch Massage Candle comes nicely packaged in a black box with a green circle that wraps around the sides (although the circle looks white in the picture, it actually isn’t). The back of the box has instructions in several languages. Inside the box is the candle and a small warning booklet.

The candle is in a pretty container. It’s a dark, deep blue, almost black glass, with Lelo and the scent imprinted in silver. It’s topped with a silver lid with a plastic knob. The knob matches the color of the circle on the box and relates to the fragrance of the candle.  On top of the candle is a foam disk that protects the candle during shipment.

The Lelo Candle comes in three scents: Vanilla and Crème de Cacao, Pomegranate and Black Pepper, and Snow Pear and Cedarwood. I chose the Snow Pear and Cedarwood.  I expected a somewhat fruity scent, but it isn’t, really. It’s fresh, with just a hint of pear, and reminds me of an outdoors meadow. It’s not flowery at all, but clean and mild. When burning, the scent fills the room but is not overpowering.

Lelo Flickering Touch Massage Candle is soy-based, and contains soy wax, shea butter, apricot kernel oil, and perfume. It burns fairly slowly. After about 30 minutes, enough of the wax will be melted into an oil and be ready to use. Once the flame is put out, a 30 second wait lets the oil cool slightly, and then it is ready to be poured into your hands or on to an awaiting back. The oil is meant for external use only, and should not be used as a sexual lubricant or with sex toys.

After use, replacing the cap keeps the top of the candle clean. Before using again, the wick should be trimmed to 1/4″ before lighting it.

So, Did It Work? I really liked this candle. The color of the container is nice, and you can see the flame flicker through it. As the oil gets lower, the flame is more visible through the container and creates a nice ambiance. While it would have been easier to pour with a spout or a corner, it wasn’t too bad and didn’t make a lot of mess. The oil was easy to wipe off the outside of the container.

While the scent is not what I was expecting, I like how light it is. My husband loves that it doesn’t smell too flowery, and he likes how it smells on both his skin and mine.

The oil is light, and it will soak right in if your skin is very dry. If your skin is not too dry/normal, the oil lasts a while while you work on rubbing it into your partner’s back. We used both our hands and massage stones, and the oil performed well. Once the oil rubbed in, it left our skin with a light scent and made our skin soft and smooth, but not greasy.

I’ll be looking to try out the other scents for this candle soon. Thank you to for sending this to me to review! If you’d like to try out the Lelo Flickering Light Massage Candle, you can pick yours up at . And don’t forget, you can follow on Twitter and on Facebook as well!

Use It At Your Leisure

I love Tantus products. The soft silicone and pleasant shapes and colors of their sex toys are wonderful. I particularly love their anal toys, so I was excited to get the Leisure from for review.

The Tantus Leisure comes in a see-through box with red and grey accents, with the Leisure and it’s accompanying bullet displayed through the front. Product information is on the back and sides of the box.

This toy is one of many Tantus green sex toys, meaning it’s eco-friendly, non-toxic and body safe, with no phthalates or PVC. It’s made of silicone, and is also hypoallergenic and completely odorless. It’s easy to clean with soap and water, and it can also be boiled, bleached, or run through the dishwasher. Since it’s silicone, only water-based lubricants are safe to use.

The Leisure comes in copper, purple, and white. I chose the copper, which I find to be an unusual color for a sex toy. It’s the color of a shiny penny, and it shimmers in the light. It’s simply gorgeous. This toy is wonderfully soft, just a bit squishy, and super flexible, so it’s comfortable no matter where you choose to insert it. It’s not tacky, but the surface has a bit of drag to it.

This toy is a pleasant 8” long (measured along the curve), with 7 1/4” insertable. It has a gently tapered tip and a diameter of 1 1/4″. The base is about 2 1/4″ in diameter, and large enough to use the Leisure successfully in a harness or slip it into the dildo holder in the Liberator Wing. Without the bullet, you can also use the Leisure with the Tantus Suction Cup, attaching it to your bathroom wall for hands-free play.

The Tantus Leisure comes with a small silver bullet vibrator, which takes 3 LR44 watch batteries (batteries are included). The bullet is removable, and it’s easy to push into the Leisure’s base as well as take it out, and sticks out about 1/2″ from the bottom when fully inserted. It has an O-ring at the bottom of the threads to make it safe for use in the shower or bath.

The bullet has only one speed, and can be turned on and off by pressing the button on the bottom. The vibrations are high speed and buzzy, and transmit throughout the Leisure, although they are strongest at the base. You can replace this bullet with a stronger one if you choose (5/8” in diameter), or use the Leisure without it.

So, Does It Work? Simply put, yes! While the Leisure can be used for vaginal stimulation, I used it almost exclusively for anal play. It’s softness and flexibility make it easy to insert, and the base is a good size for using in the Liberator Wing. It’s large enough to stay in place when inserted between the cover and the foam insert, and with the bullet extending down a bit into the pocket, there’s no worries about turning the vibrations on and off.

While I don’t think the vibrations are overly strong, I was able to feel them, and they were pleasant. The Leisure reminds me a lot of the Smooth Operator from Vixen Creations, both in size and material, but I like the base a lot better on the Leisure.

While we don’t have a standard harness, we do have a hand harness, and the Leisure fit in this well, although my husband had some trouble with the bullet bottom hitting his palm. We found it worked better without the bullet when used this way.

The Leisure also worked well when attached to the wall. Although it doesn’t vibrate this way, it’s still great to attach and move against.

If you’re looking for a thinner vaginal vibrator/dildo, or want a soft, flexible, and comfortable anal toy, the Leisure is a great choice. You’ll enjoy it for a long time to cum!

Y A USB-Bullet? Because Surfing’s More Fun, That’s Y!

I don’t watch a ton of porn on my computer. Well, not a ton, but an awful lot. And it’s always easier to navigate and type with both hands . So what better to go along with internet porn than a bullet to use while surfing? It sounded interesting to me, so I was happy to receive the Y-bullet from to review.

The Y-Bullet by Lady Calston comes in a pink and white box, with the product visible through the front. The back has some product information, as well as some suggestions for how to use the bullet. It also proclaims “7 ft cord!” Since the Y-Bullet is powered solely by USB (a fairly new feature that I adore for eggs and bullets, as well as other sex toys), I thought a 7 foot cord would be awesome. Not only would that give me extra maneuverability when on the computer, but also from an outlet (more on that later).

The bullet is matte black, and soft and smooth to the touch. It’s made of plastic, which is non-porous and phthalates free. It’s nicely sized at 2 1/4″ long and 1” in diameter. The Y-Bullet does have a noticeable seam running around the middle that can be felt with your fingers, but it isn’t very noticeable during use.

The Y-Bullet isn’t waterproof (and you shouldn’t be taking your laptop into the tub with sex toys anyhow!), so a bit of care is needed when cleaning. It’s easy to clean with soap and warm water (just don’t submerge it) or you can use your favorite toy cleaner. The cord and dial should be wiped with a damp cloth if necessary. Never get water into the USB end – if you do, make sure it’s completely dry before plugging it in.

The cord startled me. I was expecting to see 84” of wire, but the bundled cord looked much too small. And it was. I don’t know who measured this, but the cord is only 39” in length, less than 1/2 of what the box advertises. A big deal? Not really, if you’re at the computer or have a lowered USB hub to plug this into. Planning to plug into the wall? Yeah, not so good.  (The newer version of the Y-Bullet comes with a longer cord which is 7 feet long – good news!)

Since this is USB powered, it must be plugged in to work. While it’s meant to plug into a computer port (and it’s both Mac and PC compatible), the Y-Bullet can also be plugged into a USB adapter and plugged into the wall. Since the cord length is so short, if you really plan to do this, you might want to get a USB extension cord. I’ve decided to only use this bullet to enhance my surfing, so the cord will do just fine.

About midway down the cord is the speed dial. Once the Y-Bullet is plugged in, the dial can be spun with your thumb to select the vibration. This bullet only has steady vibration, but the intensity can be dialed from low (and very quiet) to surprisingly high and strong (and loud to boot). The vibrations are mostly surface vibrations and fairly buzzy.

So, Does it Work? Actually, yes! While the cord length didn’t make me happy, actually using the Y-Bullet did. I liked the size of the bullet, and didn’t notice the seam surfing use. The cord was long enough to plug this into my laptop and place the bullet on my clit, so I could surf away. The bullet is surprisingly strong on high and did manage to get me to orgasm fairly quickly, but it’s much more fun to use on a middle setting to enhance surfing. Since it’s powered by USB, you don’t have to worry about the bullet losing any power no matter how long you go. On high speed this bullet was loud, but on a medium speed it wasn’t noticeable over either the volume of the laptop or background TV.

While the bullet itself doesn’t get too hot, the control did get quite warm when the bullet was used for extended periods (30+ minutes). It didn’t seem to affect the speed or operation of the bullet, and cooled quickly when unplugged.

One other strange thing I noticed was when turning the bullet off, whether it had been on a short time or a long time, the vibrations took a bit to die. They were exceedingly low at that time, and did eventually stop, but not as quickly as I thought they would.

Despite the short cord length, the Y-Bullet is a great little vibrator, and sure to enhance your surfing experience. Thank you to for sending this to me for free to review!
