I lost my car keys…
I am late for work, and I search frantically…

I hear them jingle, and I rush to the bedroom
where you are still in bed
the covers pulled up
and in your hand are my keys…

You smile at me and beckon me with your eyes
and I sigh…

I’m going to be late again today.
