TMI Tuesday: Keep Calm and Answer Questions

1. For which one of the following do you need increased privacy:
a. Online interaction such as internet search and website interaction?
b. Sex?
c. Drinking or taking drugs (including marijuana use)?
d. Work
Hmmm…I’ll say b. Sex. I think you always need more privacy with kids in the house.

2. What decade in life were you most happiest with your sex life? Why? For example: teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, etc.
Probably my 30s. I think that’s when I was the most adventurous and tried more new things than any other time.

3. What is the sexiest TV show you have watched in the last year? Why is it sexy to you?
It has to be True Blood. I rewatch this series from time to time and watched it again from the beginning last year.  The vampires (and yes, I mean Eric) are so hot, and so are Jason, and Alcide…the list just goes on and on.

4. What sex scene, from a movie, would you like to recreate?
Most of the sex scenes in the movies I watch are in horror movies (go figure). But I always thought the scene at the beginning of the Hunger, with Susan Sarandon, Catherine Deneuve, and David Bowie in bed, would be an awesome one to recreate.

5. Your sex life is to become a reality series. Which of the following titles best fits:?
a. “Too Big To Fail”?
b. “Years of Solitude”?
c. “A Visual Guide for the Perplexed”?
d. “Yes please, Any Time and Anywhere”
Oh, d. for sure.

Bonus: The Late Phoenix would like to know your family’s secret recipes because he is hungry and thirsty all the time. Please share.
Ha – well, if I told you, they wouldn’t be secret recipes any more, now would they? But I will give you a good recipe for prune pierogies:
For the filling:

  • 30 pitted prunes
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

For the dough:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • boiling and cold water

Add prunes, sugar, and lemon juice to a pan filled with water and bring to a boil. Cover and turn off the heat, resting for 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Combine flower and salt in a bowl with 3/4 cup of boiling water, mixing together.  Let rest for 10 minutes.  Add 1/4 cup of cold water and mix, then cover and let rest for 10 minutes.  Knead the dough until it’s smooth.  Roll out the dough to 1/8” on a floured surface. Cut circles out of the dough with a cookie cutter and place on waxed paper until ready to fill.

Drop  a prune into each center and pinch the edges closed (forming a 1/2 circle). Crimp with a fork on both sides for a decorative touch . Boil for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pierogies float. Strain, rinse, and serve with the topping of your choice. Enjoy!
