I’ve been blogging for quite a while now, and I consider my blog R-rated. When I first started out, I gave a lot of thought to being exposed. I was worried that someone I knew would find my blog and completely freak out that I reviewed sex toys. It’s not that I live in a particularly conservative area, but having people know who I am and what I’m doing in my free time (fucking myself silly with some interesting toys) is a bit disconcerting. I told my husband about it before I started – he didn’t mind my reviewing all the toys, lubes, books, and other things coming my way.

Very few other people know that I blog and review. My best friend knows – I told her about it after I’d had my blog up for a while, when I told her I had an online job working for a sex toy site. She was supportive, and she’s been the recipient of some of my review items over the years, which I think she enjoyed as much as I do.

In a way, I think my blog exposes me – it gives me a way to share my thoughts, feelings, writings, and opinions. I’m not really sure what I’d do if I was exposed in real life now, though.  I think it could be a bit uncomfortable and scary in some ways, and I think I’d have to just be direct and deal with it. There are worse things that could happen…
