1. What is your astrological symbol? Does it fit you?
I’m a Sagittarius – the archer, the ninth astrological sign, ruled by Jupiter and associated with fire. The symbol associated with this sign is an arrow.

Sagittarians are considered truth-seekers and wanderers in pursuit of knowledge, so they’re represented by the centaur, who was the intellectual being in Roman mythology.  They’re interested in the meaning of life, philosophy and religion, storytelling, writing, and other things that don’t require too much commitment. They like when others agree with them, and can be impatient and difficult if held back so they don’t get their way.. Sagittarians can be generous, just, quick to gamble, and often procrastinate. They often jump from one thing to the next, overstep their boundaries, and attract others with ease. They’re independent, moody, and easily bored, and have a positive nature and a good sense of humor. They can be reckless and irresponsible as well.

2. List 3 of the good traits of your astrological symbol to which you can relate.
Three of the good traits I can relate to are being interested in knowledge, being generous, and being independent.

3. List 3 of the worst traits of your astrological symbol that you believe do not pertain to you.
Ha – I think a lot of the worst ones do pertain to me (procrastination in particular), but the ones I don’t think do (as much) are being irresponsible and overstepping my boundaries.

4. What is your Chinese zodiac animal symbol?

If I did this right, my animal symbol for the year I was born is the Ram, or Goat. My animal symbol for the month I was born is the Rat. The rat has a fixed element of water, and is charming, shrewd, disciplined, and charismatic, but also obstinate and critical. My animal symbols for the day I was born are the Ox, Tiger, and Rooster.

5. In Chinese philosophy, The Theory of the Five Elements describes the interaction and relation of natural phenomena. The five elements of wood, fire, Earth, metal and water affect your zodiac sign. Which element are you? Find out here.
I am not sure I calculated this right at all, but I think for my birth year I am Fire: embodiment, definition, action, dynamic phase, design, which is symbolized by a red pheasant. For my birth month I am Water: fluid, secretive, intuitive, compassionate, sensitive, gentle and creative, which is symbolized by a black tortoise.

Bonus: Briefly tell us something you found interesting about your Chinese zodiac as it pertains to the Five Elements.
I found a lot of this interesting,  but especially how it’s a transformation from one phase to another, and parts of the body are part of the elements. We covered this a bit in the Tai Chi class I took, where every element is put into harmony. I feel the elements of my signs are almost opposites, and I need more time to learn about this, as it’s absolutely fascinating.

Bonus, Bonus: What cartoon/comic character best describes you? Take the short personality test and share your results.
I have to say this made me laugh, as it’s one of my favorite cartoon characters:
