Cherish Me As Much

Spring has finally arrived! With the warmer weather, it’s time to endulge both the body and soul in preparation for summer. This month, as part of the Cal Exotics’ Sexpert program, I received the Body & Soul Cherish for free in exchange for this unbiased review.

The Body & Soul Cherish arrives in a white box, with a picture of the toy on the front and side. Product information is on the back and the bottom of the box. Inside,  Cherish is in a plastic bag, with a small sheet of paper with battery insertion for multiple Cal Exotics’ products.

This is a slim g-spot vibrator, that comes in blue, purple, and pink. I received the purple one, which is a nice grape color.   It’s just over 6 1/4″ long, with an insertable length of 4 3/4″, and it’s only 1” wide at its maximum (the upper part of the shaft is just 3/4″.   Cherish is made of ABS plastic with a PU coating (silver-plated ABS is used for the décor ring around the button and silicone for the button), and it is body safe and phthalates free. It has no scent, no taste, and doesn’t cause any tingling when licked.  It’s firm, yet smooth and slick to the touch.  The shaft of Cherish is straight, with a hooked tip for G-spot or pinpoint clitoral stimulation.

Batteries are inserted by twisting off the base. This vibrator takes 2 AAA batteries, and they can be a bit tricky to insert at first.  They aren’t inserted directly into the shaft. Cherish has a battery tray, which you can see when the looking into the shaft. You nave to hook your fingernail under the lip and pull it out.  The tray is fairly flimsy, so you’ll want to be careful when inserting and removing the batteries. The end with the lip is the end that should be inserted last.  The batteries slide easily into the holder, + side facing away from the lip, and the holder slides back into Cherish.  An O-ring keeps water out of the compartment once it’s securely closed, allowing Cherish to be used in the shower or bath, if you desire.

Cherish is controlled by a single push button on the front of the base. The placement is good if you plan to use this internally, as it is on the front of the base and will help you align the tip correctly inside (this is a problem on many slimline g-spot vibrators which have a twist dial or bottom button).

This vibrator features 3 speeds: low, medium and high. The three vibration speeds are changed by pressing the button (it will click on each change). A fourth press of the button will turn Cherish off.  The vibrations are fairly strong and buzzy surface vibrations, concentrated primarily in the tip; however, they do travel down the shaft and into the base and can make your fingers a bit numb.  On the highest vibration setting, Cherish is about as loud as a vibrating cell phone. It’ll be muffled by covers, and won’t be heard from behind a closed door, particularly with background noise on.

Cherish is easy to clean with soap and water, a toy cleaner, or wipes. It doesn’t collect a lot of lint on the surface, but it’s best to wash both before and after use. Using a water-based lubricant is recommended.  The toy can be stored in the box it came in, but a small toy bag or pouch will work just as well.

So, Did It Work? One thing I liked about Cherish was the button located on the front of the base – this helped keep the tip aligned on my G-spot when using it internally.  The button also wasn’t too easy to press and change speeds during use. I prefer a broader surface for G-spot stimulation, and also a thicker shaft and more rumbly vibrations, but I could stimulate it with this vibrator. I actually liked the hooked end more for pinpoint clitoral stimulation. The tip was a great size for this, and the vibrations were decently strong clitorally; I don’t mind buzzy vibrations there to get off.  The battery case seems to be a good idea, and I suspect it keeps the noise down while also allowing an easier way to get the batteries out while keeping the shaft narrow. It’s a bit tricky to get out without the batteries inserted, but once I figured out how to hook the lip on the top side, it was a lot easier.

If you like moderately strong vibrations that are fast and buzzy, prefer a thinner vibrator, and also like more pinpoint stimulation (whether on your G-spot or clitorally), Cherish is a decent vibrator to look at. You can pick up Cherish or other vibrators in the Body & Soul line at EdenFantasys by clicking the widget below.
