I love glass, particularly for anal toys. There’s nothing quite like it when it’s covered with lube and either sliding in and out or staying in place. I recently got to play with the Bubble Thriller from Don Wands which, while it isn’t specifically an anal toy, functions beautifully as one. The Crystal Premium Plug I got from EdenFantasys, however, is made to be enjoyed in your ass.
This plug is from NS Novelties. It comes in a white box with an actual size picture of the toy on the front. There’re two side windows on the box, so you can see it inside – this is probably most useful to check the color. Care information is also on the side, and a description of the toy is on the back. Inside the box, the Crystal Plug is held in place by two small Styrofoam pieces: one on the bottom and one on the top. You could use this for storage, but it’s probably better off in a padded bag or pouch. The plug is covered by a warranty; information is on the NS Novelties website.
The Crystal Plug is really a pretty plug. It’s a light purple – lavender, really – but it changes depending on the light to a deeper purple or rosy pink, and it’s clearer than it seems on the package. No matter what color it seems to be, it’s lovely.
This is a pretty standard design. The plug looks like a flower bulb or bud atop a stem. It’s just 3” long overall, with an insertable length of 2 1/2″ – just a little taller than a tube of chapstick. The one I got is the medium plug (it also comes in small and large). It has a rounded tip and increases quite quickly to its widest diameter of 1 1/2″. The neck of the plug is just under an inch in diameter and length. The base is 1 3/4″ wide. The glass is smooth, seamless, and delightful.
The Crystal Plug can be used for temperature play, although I prefer temp play more with toys I do more thrusting with. Just soak it for a few minutes in hot or cold water and it’s ready to go – be sure to check the temp before inserting it so it’s not too hot or cold for your liking.
Since it’s made of borosilicate glass, the Crystal Plug is solid and won’t break or chip easily. It should always be checked over for any scratches, cracks, or chips before use, of course, and discarded if any are found. Like all glass, the plug is easy to clean with soap and water. It can also be boiled or run through the dishwasher without soap to sanitize it. Any lubricant is safe to use, and you won’t need to use much to make the Crystal Plug slip right in. The box can be used for storage, but you’ll probably want to pick up a padded bag for more cushioning when this is not in use.
So, Did It Work? I really do enjoy glass in my ass. While metal and silicone are great materials, there’s something about the way glass slides in that I adore. This plug size isn’t a size I can go right to – I’ve got to do some warm up with another toy first – but it also works pretty well for warm-up itself.
I let my husband put this in the first time – he likes to thrust things in and out of my ass, and this plug was no exception. He had to go slow, and thrust gently, going in just a bit farther each time. He switched off to the Leisure, which the Crystal Plug had me ready for, for a while before he went back to the glass. I did find, once he had it in my ass, that it was pretty comfortable to wear, and definitely felt filling. The neck was thin enough that it stayed in fairly well through foreplay and intercourse. It wasn’t terribly hard to remove, either. My husband likes a more decorative end on plugs, but as long as they’re comfortable I’m not so picky (of course, I’m not the one looking at it). This base wasn’t uncomfortable to sit on, and it wasn’t visible under a pair of jeans.
