Gimme A G!

I was recently accepted as a Cal Exotics Sexpert , and for my first review item I received the Spellbound “G” vibrator

The Spellbound comes packaged in an easy-open plasic case, displayed on one side.  It’s definitely a pretty vibrator, in a vibrant shade of purple.  It’s also available in orange and pink.  The material is ABS plastic with Velvet Cote, so it’s soft, smooth, and velvety to the touch, as well as non-porous and phthalates-free.
The Spellbound is 6 3/4” long, with a diameter of 1 1/4″.  It has an angled, thinner tip for g-spot stimulation.  About 3” down from the top is a 1/8” wide metal ring, that’s slightly raised from the surface.  The ring is supposed to provide advanced pleasure, but I didn’t notice it much.  It’s more decorative than functional.

The base of the Spellbound unscrews to hold 2 C batteries.  Yes, I said C batteries.  It’s been a long time since I had a toy that used anything larger than AA.  And I’ve kind of missed C batteries.  My very first vibrator, eons ago, had C, and it had so much more power than toys that used smaller ones!
A small instruction sheet is included with instructions for inserting the batteries, but for the Spellbound it’s not really needed.  Simply drop them in, screw the base back on, and you’re ready to play.
Between the base and the shaft is an O-ring, which makes the Spellbound ideal to play with in the shower or tub.  And I do love waterproof toys!  I had no problems with water getting into the battery compartment when it was submerged in the tub.

The Spellbound is controlled by a dial on the bottom of the base.  It’s not too easy to turn (and not too hard, either).  The vibration level can be dialed from low to quite high.  The vibrations are felt most in the tip, but travel well down the shaft of the Spellbound as well.   The dial is a bit tricky to turn if you’ve got lube on your hands, but you also won’t change the setting accidentally when holding the bottom to thrust.

When the vibration power is increased, so is the volume of this toy.  On the lowest vibration, it’s fairly quiet, but crank it up and if you’re in the kitchen, anyone in the house will think you’re making a smoothie in the blender.  Under water, the sound is amplified and it sounds like someone’s using a drill.  You will want to have the stereo or TV on at a decent level if you want to hide the fact that you’re tickling your g-spot!

The Spellbound can be cleaned with antibacterial soap and hot water, or it can be wiped with toy cleaner or isopropyl alcohol.  Water-based, oil, or silicone lubes are all safe to use.

Overall, I like this toy quite a bit. The extra power from the C batteries is nice, and the tip hits where it needs to so I can orgasm.  It also feels great on my clit.  Note that this is not a toy to use anally, due to its lack of a flared base.

Thank you, Cal Exotics, for sending me this vibrator for free to review!
