Bunny In Springtime

Summer’s almost here – can you believe it? I love the late spring, when the weather’s not unbearably hot yet, and flowers are starting to bloom. Flowers bring me to the design on the First Time Bunny Teaser, the new product that I got to try out as part of the Cal Exotics Sexpert program.

The Bunny Teaser comes in a clear, simple to open clamshell case. The vibrator is visible through the front, and the colored insert has a picture of the product and some information visible through the back. Included in the package is a small sheet with information on battery insertion for various Cal Exotics toys.

This vibrator is petite, at just 6” long overall (with 3” insertable length), and has a modest 1 1/4″ diameter.  It has a translucent pink TPR sleeve over an ABS shaft, and has no odor out of the box. The sleeve and shaft color allow the inner workings of the vibe to be seen. The sleeve is soft and squishy, particularly at the tip, with a rigid core to ensure the vibrator doesn’t bend. The shaft has an interesting texture and design – its circumsized head looks like a cap of hair, and the decorative raised flowers and necklace on the front of the shaft give it the vague appearance of a woman in a flowered dress. A few other of these raised flowers adorn the rest of the shaft, but the majority of the texture is on the front.

The Bunny Teaser is rabbit-styled, with its soft and flexible bunny that’s intended for clitoral stimulation. This clitoral arm is just 1” long and 3/4″ wide. It is very soft and flexible, but many will find it too short to effectively hit the clit.

To insert 2 AAA batteries, the base takes a 1/4 of a turn to pop off. The direction for the batteries is clearly labeled but may be a bit hard to read. Once the batteries are in and the base is closed, the Bunny Teaser is ready for use on the bed or, since it’s waterproof, in the bath. Cal Exotics recommends using alkaline batteries, and removing the batteries when the Bunny Teaser isn’t in use.

The Bunny Teaser is operated by a single button on the bottom of the base. The button is a bit recessed, so you can stand the Bunny Teaser upright (a nice feature). The button clicks as it’s pressed, and it will cycle through 9 – yes, 9 – different modes. The modes include steady vibrations (low to high) and a variety of pulse patterns featuring short, medium, and long pulses. Some of the patterns also pause before repeating. Once you’ve cycled through the patterns, another click of the button turns the Bunny Teaser off.

The vibrations aren’t terribly loud, and are less so when the Bunny Teaser is inserted. They might be heard from under the covers, but not from behind a closed door. The vibrations are fairly buzzy, but they do feel stronger and deeper when using one of the pulsation modes. The vibrations are felt mostly in the tip and insertable portion of the Bunny Teaser. They won’t cause your hand to go numb from holding the base – and they also don’t travel at all into the clitoral stimulator.

This is an easy to clean vibrator – simply wash it before and after use with antibacterial soap and warm water, then pat dry with a lint-free towel or allow to air dry. The TPR sleeve appears to be firmly attached, and water shouldn’t get underneath it.  It can be stored in a bag or box out of direct sunlight.

So, Did It Work? There were some things I liked about the Bunny Teaser, and some I didn’t. What I particularly liked was the number and variety of pulsing vibration patterns. I tend to like steady vibrations clitorally, but I’m really enjoying pulses and patterns internally. The Bunny Teaser offers a nice selection of pulse patterns which do feel good inside, and it’s great to be able to cycle through several of them.  They’re moderately strong in power but change things up nicely, and you’ll like them if you get tired of steady internal vibrations.

What I disliked about the Bunny Teaser was the clitoral stimulator. It didn’t add anything for me, partly because it was much too short for me. The bunny’s ears didn’t hit my clit at all, nor did any other part of it. It was wonderfully flexible, but unfortunately it didn’t stretch. The other issue I had with the clitoral stimulator is that it didn’t vibrate.  It doesn’t have its own bullet, and the vibrations from the shaft don’t transmit at all into the piece.  You can see this when you have the Bunny Teaser on any setting – the bunny doesn’t move. If it happens to be long enough to hit your clit and you don’t need clitoral vibrations to orgasm, you might be satisfied with it rubbing against your clit and thrusting in and out. But, if you need vibrations rocking your clit, regardless of strength, the stimulator on this one won’t deliver.
