Is That A Wocket In Your Pocket?

I think everyone needs a pocket rocket. They’re small, reasonably powerful, easy to carry with you anywhere and use when needed (provided you’ve got some privacy as they tend to be loud).  I have a few small vibrators that are always in tow, but I think this is one of those kind of vibrators that you want handy in every purse, so I chose the Pocket Rocket for review this time from Good Vibrations.

The Pocket Rocket comes in a white and pink box with a picture of the product on the front and back. The back of the box contains some information as well. The box shows the toy as a bright bubblegum pink, but mine is more of a creamy raspberry color.

This is a small toy, at just 4” long and 7/8” wide. It’s made of phthalates free ABS plastic, so it’s easy to clean with soap and water (don’t submerge it or get water anywhere near the battery compartment, though, as it isn’t waterproof). It’s easy to store as well, whether in a drawer or in your purse. Lube isn’t really necessary, but waterbased works well if you want to use it.

The toy itself has a removable translucent white studded cover with lots of little hard nubs on it. It can be used with this cover or, if the nubs are too hard or provide too much stimulation, the cover can be removed. Below are 3 smooth gold nubs set in the shape of a triangle, and these provide a much smoother experience.

Above the battery compartment are three labels in white: Open, Off, and On, and right below them is a small raised bar to indicate which label the toy is currently set to. The Pocket Rocket is easy to set to any of these settings (but not so easy that you’ll do it by mistake).

The Pocket Rocket has just 1 speed and is powered by a single AA battery. When turned to Open, the battery compartment is revealed, and the AA battery goes in + side up.

Turned on, the Pocket Rocket’s vibrations are strong, high, and buzzy. They vibrate the entire toy from top to bottom.  While it’s meant to be used on the clitoris, it can also be used all over the body – on the breasts, labia, scrotum, taint, or anywhere else you or your partner enjoy stimulation. It’s pretty loud, so you won’t want to sneak a use anywhere there’s not substantial background noise to mask what you’re doing.

So, Does It Work? I like pocket rockets in certain situations, and this Pocket Rocket has decent power and works well.  I prefer using it without the stimulating cover, as it’s not so hard and the nubs feel much better.  My husband likes it without the cover as well, as he likes the gliding sensation. The battery lasts quite a while, so the Pocket Rocket is ready whenever we are.
