Tote bags are always handy – and I never seem to have enough of them! I use them for a lot of things: small shopping trips, going to the gym or pool, carrying items here or there and keeping things organized in my car. I think I collect them at times (like shot glasses and coffee cups), just to have bags with different sayings in different colors. The Babeland Eco-Tote looked different, so I decided to pick this up to review.
The Eco-Tote Bag is pretty cool. It comes packaged in a small, 3” x 4” polyester pouch, complete with a black drawstring and stop bead as well as a small metal clip so you can clip it anywhere you need to. It’s small enough to fit in your purse with ease. The bag comes in pink or blue and mine came in blue. The polyester material feels like nylon – it’s thin, strong and shiny. The drawstring bag has the Babeland Logo, name and web address, as well as “Sex Toys for a Passionate World” in white.
Open up the drawstring and the tote pulls out easily. It’s pretty wrinkled, but that’s what you’d expect. As it’s open and you fill it with items, the wrinkles lessen. When out of the bag, the tote measures 18” x 14 1/2″, and has 7 1/2″ high straps. They aren’t long enough to carry the bag over your shoulder, but they’re plenty long enough to hold the bag by in your hand. The bag has a 25 pound capacity, enough to fill it with quite a bit of items at the store. It’s great for your swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen as well. One side of the bag says BABE in white inside a white box, while below it is the Babeland logo and the word Babeland.
The coolest thing about this tote is that the storage pouch is attached to the bag, sewn down one side. Once you’ve removed the bag, the pouch is neatly inside, ready and locatable when you’re ready to fold the bag away. There’s nothing worse than having a collapsible bag like this and losing the storage pouch! The tote is easy enough to push back in the bag when you’re done with it.
The bag is polyester, and can be hand washed or washed in the machine on cold (don’t use fabric softener). Hang it to dry, don’t toss it in the dryer, or you’ll find your bag has shrunk.
The bag is made by ChicoBag, and has a 1 year limited warranty. Scanning the QRcode on the inside label takes you to their website and information about their commitment to consumer saftely, where they point out the bag doesn’t contain lead, cadmium, or any heavy metals in toxic amounts.
