A Drop of Love

This month, as part of the Cal Exotics Sexpert program, I received a new clitoral vibrator, the Love Drop.   Would I fall in love? Well, maybe…

The Love Drop comes in a clamshell case that’s easy to open. The toy is visible through the front, and an insert with a photo of the toy and product information is visible through the back.

This clitoral vibrator is made of ABS with a PU cote (or Velvet-cote).  It’s super smooth to the touch with a satiny feel.  Both the bullet and controller are a matte black.  The Love Drop has a cute design – the vibrating bullet is shaped somewhat like a small horn or teardrop, and is 2 1/2″ long (3” long if you measure along the back curve). It’s about 1/2” in diameter at the tip and widens to 1 3/8” wide near the bottom.  Two grooves loop down and around each side. It’s a nice size to nestle over your clit.

The 34” cord to the remote is attached at the bottom of the bullet and is covered with a clear plastic ring to keep water out.  A black ring where the cord attaches to the controller keeps water out of this piece as well.

Made of the same Velvet-cote ABS plastic with the same great feel, the controller is contoured to fit comfortably in your hand during use. The bottom of the controller unscrews to access the battery compartment, which holds 2 AAA batteries, and the direction is clearly indicated.  An O-ring sits below the threads to seal out water.

The Love Drop is controlled by 2 buttons on the front – a raised “+” and “-“.  Pressing the + starts the vibrations at a low and steady level. Subsequent presses of the + button increase the intensity of the vibrations (4 speeds in all).  Pressing – lowers the vibrations and eventually turns the Love Drop off. An arch of 4 LED lights above the buttons lights up so you know which speed you’re on.

The vibrations are actually pretty strong considering the power source, and they’re concentrated in the Love Drop’s tip, although they are easily felt through the whole bullet.  They are very buzzy surface vibrations.  The vibrations are a bit loud, although they won’t be heard from across the room or from under the covers if you’ve got the TV or some background music on. The Love Drop fits nicely over the clit, and the tip is good for getting pressure if you need it. The entire Drop vibrates the clit and labia especially well on the highest speed.

This vibrator is easy to clean with antibacterial soap and water. It should be washed before and after use. The case isn’t ideal to store the Love Drop in, but it can easily go in the dresser drawer or in a storage bag.  Cal Exotics recommends only using a water-based lubricant.

So, Did It Work? I like the Love Drop. The shape is comfortable and stays in place pretty well, and the tip really pinpoints the vibrations right where I want them.  While it’s not the strongest clitoral vibrator I have, it’s decently strong and works well in combination with an internal vibrator.  The controller is comfortable to grip, and while I didn’t care about the LED lights (because yes, it was always on the highest speed), they are a good indicator if you’re moving from low to high and back again. My husband and I even tried this in the shower, and we had no problems with water getting in the battery compartment or causing damage to the bullet.

Thank you to Cal Exotics for sending this to me to review!  If you’d like to try the Love Drop for yourself, you can pick one up at EdenFantasys.com .
