You’d think I’d have enough anal toys by now (well, you probably think I’ve got enough of every kind of sex toy), but I’m always looking for more, particularly vibrating ones. I wasn’t sure about the Your Highness when I read the product description at Good Vibrations, but I figured I’d go ahead and give it a try.
Your Highness from Good Vibrations is a silicone dildo meant for anal penetration, although it can be used vaginally. It comes in an easy to open clamshell case and is proudly displayed through the front, while the back has some product information about the toy.
This toy is a pretty slate blue in color, and swirled with a darker blue throughout. The surface is a bit shiny and has a drag to it when you run your finger over it. Apply some waterbased lube, however, and it glides in and out with ease.
It is 6 1/2″ long with 5 1/2” insertable, and it has a maximum diameter of 1 1/8”. It looks like a series of gentle beads of varying lengths: the top bead is about 1 1/2″ long, the second about 1 3/4″, and the third 2”. These beads sit atop a flared base which is 2 1/8” in diameter and 1/2″ thick. The flared base makes Your Highness harness compatible and also makes it easier to hold on and thrust this toy.
The toy is super flexible – it can easily be bent in half with no problem. In fact,it’s probably one of the most flexible toys I own. This makes Your Highness a bit difficult to insert, but once started it goes in easily and is comfortable inside, even when you’re moving around and changing positions. It doesn’t stay in very well on its own since the necks below the beads aren’t thin enough, particularly the last one.
Your Highness has a hole in the bottom in which a small waterproof minivibe is inserted. The minivibe, made of black plastic, is a bullet in shape, comes with the 3 watch batteries loaded inside – you just have to remove the small
circle of paper between the batteries and the cap and you’re ready to go. The bullet fits very snugly into Your Highness’s base, but it can be pulled out by rolling the silicone up some and using pliers to get the bullet out. It’s much easier to remove if you lube up the bullet before inserting it into the base. The bullet is waterproof, so Your Highness can be played with in the shower or tub.
The bullet has only one speed, which is steady, high and buzzy. The vibrations
from it when it’s inserted into Your Highness’s base, are concentrated in the bottom 2”-3” of the toy, although they do travel some towards the tip. They’re moderate in strength. This is a pretty quiet toy that won’t be heard from a few feet away with any kind of background noise.
Your Highness is made of silicone, so it’s body safe, phthalates free and latex free. It’s easy to clean with antibacterial soap and warm water. Remove the bullet and wash separately, and allow the inside of Your Highness to dry before reinserting the bullet. I store them separately, so I can lube the bullet up before inserting it in the base.
So, Did It Work? For me, this worked much better as a warm-up toy – it doesn’t have the girth I like to use later in our play sessions, but it was fun to use to get started. The flexibility of the toy made this difficult for me to insert by myself, but my husband didn’t have any trouble. Once in, turning the bullet on caused mild and pleasurable vibrations. It was comfortable to thrust with, and my husband had no trouble hanging onto the base. It was also comfortable to have in for a while, and it didn’t bother me to move about and change positions since it flexed so well with my body. Since the bullet is removable, I plan to find one of similar size but with more power and replace it, as I would like either something a bit stronger, or with multiple settings to vary/increase as we go along.
