Run Silent, Run Deep

Sometimes I like my vibrators with a bit of flex and squishiness. Other times I prefer them hard and inflexible. Typically the hard ones are small and straight with buzzy vibes, but the Silent Vibrations Deep Massager from Doc Johnson didn’t look small and definitely wasn’t straight. I wasn’t sure how the vibrations would be, so I had to pick this one up and give it a try.

The Silent Vibrations comes in a see-through, easy to open plastic box with some product information on the sides and back. It looks large in the box, and it looks even better when in your hands. It comes in 2 colors – I chose the blue which is a lovely shade of turquoise.

This vibrator is 6” long with an insertable length of 4 1/2″. It has a diameter of 1 3/4″, which is nice and filling, especially since it doesn’t have an ounce of give. It’s made of plastic, so the surface is hard, smooth, and a bit shiny. It has a g-spot tip and curves which look like waves on the sides. It feels solid and thick, and looks a bit intimidating in your hand.

The base is separated from the shaft by a white ring. The base unscrews to access the battery compartment. What’s nice here is a battery holder slips out so you can load the 3 AA batteries.

The control for the Silent Vibrations is located on the bottom of the base. It’s a small, black wheel, and next to it is a directional scale labeled Off on one end and High on the other. The wheel is easy to turn with your thumb.

The Silent Vibrations doesn’t have any patterns – instead it has steady vibrations that go from low to strong. On low the vibrations are very deep and throbby and the vibrator shakes like a mini jackhammer. When the dial is spun to high it keeps its throbbiness with deep and stronger vibrations. The dial is easy to spin to the level you prefer. While I wouldn’t call this silent, it’s not very loud at all, especially when inserted.

SInce this vibrator is made of plastic it’s phthalates-free and nonporous. It’s easy to clean. Simply wash with warm water and antibacterial soap, taking care not to get water on the base (this isn’t waterproof, so water can get into the battery compartment if you’re not careful), then dry with a soft towel. Both water-based and silicone lubricants are safe to use.

So, Did It Work? This isn’t a bad vibrator for internal use, although it really didn’t wow me. It is filling, and I didn’t find it difficult to insert, even though it’s large and rigid. It also wasn’t hard to hold on to.  I was able to hit my g-spot, but the vibrations were a too low for me. I liked the fact that they were rumbly, but they just weren’t strong enough to get me off easily.

This didn’t work well for me clitorally either, since I prefer much stronger vibrations there (even the high and buzzy kind) and even using a lot of pressure wasn’t enough to make me climax without the vibrations.

If you like low to moderate, rumbly vibrations and firm vibrators with a bit of girth, the SIlent Vibrations vibrator might be a good one to try.  You can get yours from EdenFantasys by clicking the widget below.
