It’s been a busy week! Lots to keep me amused, and just about as much to keep me pissed off. Something funny I did notice though, was that a tweet or two I made was misinterpreted and taken to be about someone it wasn’t really about. But hey, if the tweet fits…  I decided to get some fun new nail polish this week, and did my toes a bit different than usual. Enjoy!

Well, considering everything, this was not a bad week. I wrote a lot, and completed a short story that I plan to submit – very excited about that! I’ve also had more time to play, which has made me decide that I am going to start a diary of sorts, on June 1st. Hopefully it will have daily entries, as I plan to attempt at least an orgasm a day. This shouldn’t be as hard as it sounds, as my libido has been off the wall lately. I love watching shows on premium networks, and Showtime has some of my favorites. The shows can be edgy, and certainly top anything found on regular TV. Gigolos, a reality series which premiered in 2011 and is now in season 4, follows the lives, both personal and professional, of five Las Vegas gigolos. Nick Hawk is one of these hot gigolos in the show, and now he’s got a featured line of products with Cal Exotics. I got to review one of these new products for free this month, the Nick Hawk GIGOLO Locked Up & Lights Out Kit, as part of Cal Exotics’ Sexpert program.

The Locked Up and Lights Out Kit comes in a cardboard box, with Nick’s picture prominently on the front. The included products, in this case a purple blindfold and fur handcuffs, are also pictured on the front below Nick’s picture, and the box contents are listed on the back in several languages. Inside the box are the blindfold and furry cuffs (with keys), each packaged in plastic.

The cuffs are a standard set of metal handcuffs, made of nickel-free iron with silver plating, and come with two keys. They will fit wrists up to about 7 1/2″ in circumference, but will work better for smaller wrists. The cuffs are connected by a 4 1/2″ chain, which will keep the wrists bound closely together, either in front or in back of the body. They can also be used to cuff one wrist to a bedpost or pole.  The cuffs close securely and smoothly. While they come with two keys, the keys are mostly for show. Each cuff has a safety release latch located below the keyhole, so if the keys are misplaced the cuffs can still be used and removed, and the person cuffed can also get out if necessary.

Each cuff comes covered with a faux fur purple tube (50% polyester, 50% PMMA (lining)) that’s about 8 1/2″ long. The tube is removable, so you can wash the fur if necessary in warm water or in the washer on delicate in a laundry bag, and line dry it.  You can also replace it with different fur or material of your choosing. The fur is soft, and comfortable against the wrist.

The blindfold that comes with this kit is nylon, and is a matching color to the faux fur. It’s about 7 1/2″ long and 3 1/2″ wide. The stitching is the same purple as the material, and the edging is a bit uneven – it gathers the material in places around the curved sides. The blindfold isn’t lined, and is thin, although it does block out most light; since the nose is not molded, some light will come through around the nose, and you’ll be able to see just a bit if looking down. A thin black elastic band is attached on the sides, and will stretch to fit most heads comfortably.  A simple wipe with a damp cloth should be all that’s necessary to clean the blindfold, but it can also be rinsed in the sink and line dried if soiled.

So, Did It Work? I do like the color of this kit. I have similar sets in black and pink, but the purple is a nice change, and it goes well with a collar and lingerie that I have. The cuffs are comfortable enough with the fur, and I like that they have the safety release, as I’m notorious for losing keys.  I would have preferred a padded blindfold out of a different material, or at least a molded nose, to more effectively block out light, though.  Overall, this is an inexpensive kit that’s a fun introduction to light bondage and sensation play, and it’s easy to toss into luggage for fun on the go.

Another week of mixed emotions, and still holding off on writing a post. I’ve started so many times, and then erase it and start over.  One thing I have been writing is a short story. I don’t know if it’s any good, but we’ll see.

The long weekend’s coming up, and this weekend I intend to get some yardwork done. And drink, and have plenty of sex. I need to totally unwind.  Enjoy!

I’ve been making myself write every night, and hopefully some of it will not be so bad. Some of it may end up here as well.  Too much time on my hands….and now I sound like Styx…

It’s definitely May – lots of fat robins hopping around, lots of rain, and even a bit of snow. The rain’s been wonderful, although it’s pretty soaking when I have to be outside, and it does wonders, so to speak, to thin, clingy shirts. I’ve been gearing up for two crazy weeks, and then it might just be time to take a small vacation. Enjoy!

May came roaring in like a … polar bear. I suppose they roar. Lots of snow, and ice, and freezing wind – where’s my spring? It’s supposed to warm up a bit, and I’m hoping so. It’s time for short skirts, and tank tops, and strolls in the park. Enjoy!

Most of the gags I have, for those times we’re playing kinky) are ball gags. They work, and work pretty well, but for some time I’ve had a fascination with open mouth gags, especially after seeing some version or other of them in videos.  The first one I tried out wasn’t what I was expecting. Happily, I received the First Time Fetish “O” Ring Gag this month to for free, in exchange for an unbiased review, as part of Cal Exotics’ Sexpert program.

The First Time Fetish “O” Ring Gag comes in a coated cardboard box, with some information on the back and bottom. Inside the box, the straps (with one ring attached) and two other rings each come sealed in plastic bags.

This gag comes with two straps. One strap has D-rings to cinch the gag on and is about 13” long, while the other strap is about 21 1/4″ long.  Both straps are about 3/4″ wide, with unfinished (but cleanly cut) edges.  The straps, when cinched and used with an O-ring, can fit up to a 32” circumference.  If you’re smaller, the one strap can be trimmed down so that it doesn’t have such a long tail when cinched.

The straps are made of PVC (85%) and polyester (15%), although they look like leather. This faux leather material is grey on the front and ivory on the back, and has a grain look, although it feels very smooth – the ivory back is even a bit slick.  Each strap has one end with a snap, to attach around the ring of choice. Both the D-rings and the snaps are nickel-free iron.  The material will show stress marks and wear where it goes through the D-rings, but should hold up for many sessions. The straps can be cinched fairly tightly, and the gag won’t work itself loose easily.

The three O-rings that this set comes with are metal and covered with shiny black rubber.  The rings have very little give, low odor, and not much of a taste. Each ring has a small nub on the outside, where it was probably cut from the mold – turning the ring so the nub is inside the strap snap will eliminate any possible discomfort.

Each O-ring is a different size, which is nice – as you may find a size too large or too small. One ring has a 1 1/4″ inner diameter (outer diameter 1 1/2″), one has a 1 1/2″ inner diameter (outer 1 3/4″), and one has a 1 3/4″ inner diameter (outer 2”).  The medium and large ones may be large enough for your partner to insert their penis through.

The gag is worn by placing the ring in your mouth behind your teeth, and will effectively hold your mouth open.  Since you can’t close your mouth, there’s going to be drool involved – quite a bit of it, in fact!  The gag doesn’t muffle sound – far from it – but it does effectively stymie conversation, so be sure to have a nonverbal signal for your partner should you need to have the gag removed before they’re ready to do so.

This is an easy to clean gag. The ring should be completely removed from the straps, and washed in hot water with antibacterial soap. Be sure to rinse thoroughly, and then dry. The straps can be wiped down with a wet cloth if necessary, and then should be thoroughly dried. The package is quite large for storage, so they’re best stored in a small bag.  To keep the rivets and snaps shiny, a coat of clear nail polish can be applied.

So, Does It Work? I was pretty stoked to receive this for review. I’d tried an open ring gag just once before, with mixed feelings. That ring had a very small 3/4″ inner diameter ring, and it was a bit disappointing, because I had wanted to try having my partner insert something a bit larger through the opening. And now here I was, with 3 rings, all pretty decent sized, and the kind of gag I’d been eager to play around with.

Occasionally I get told that I have a big mouth. Yes, really, if you can believe it. So, pondering the rings, I decided to go with the largest one to start. I mean, it was only 2” in diameter – it’d fit, right?  Well, no. Turns out I can’t open my mouth quite wide enough to use the largest ring.  Surprised me!  The medium and small rings fit just fine, and the medium one, in particular, had a wide enough inner diameter to indulge in the kind of play I’d imagined with this type of gag.

We’re talking major drool city with this gag, too – far more than I’ve ever had with a ball gag. If you’re not used to that, it can be distracting, but it’s part of the fun. And while, as you’d imagine, this kind of gag did nothing for keeping me muffled or quiet, it certainly made me unable to talk. It was a hell of a lot of fun, too.

If you’ve ever been curious about an open-mouth gag, this is a great, versatile, and inexpensive gag to try out open-mouthed play, especially as it comes with three sizes of rings. The smallest one should be able to be used by those with smaller mouths, but if not, you can always substitute one of a lesser diameter. The larger one will probably be best used by men, and a larger ring can also be substituted if desired. The only restriction for substituting rings is the thickness of the ring should be under 1/2″ for the straps to snap onto it.

I felt sorry for the robins today. They’re quite fat, and they look rather unhappy that there’s snow everywhere, hampering their attempts to herald in spring. They’re quite literally everywhere – there’s  a few sparrows and the like, but the robins are here, and lamenting the snow. I think they’ve got a few more weeks before it’s consistently warm. Like the robins, I’m itching for spring! I keep thinking it’s time for skirts, and then I end up wearing pants because it’s so darned cold.  New thongs, at least. Enjoy!
