1. Which of these are you most often guilty of in a relationship:
a. jealousy?
b. not apologizing?
c. not keeping your word?
d. guilt trips?
Most often, probably b.  I sometimes apologize for things I shouldn’t, and don’t apologize for things I should.

2. Which of the following behaviors would annoy you most in a partner.?
a. fishing for compliments by verbalizing self-doubt?
b. passive-aggressive behavior?
c. usually forgets important dates i.e., birthday, anniversary?
d. making you feel guilty when spending time with friends?
Oh, b) – passive-aggressive behavior is the worst.

3. Consider you are looking for a mate, rank these traits in order of importance, with 1 being most important, and 7 being least important.?
__4_ Kindness
__1_ Honesty
__2_ Ambitious
__5_ Confidence
__3_ Reliable
__7_ Assertive
__6_ Sense of Humor

4. Score! You exchanged numbers with a hottie. Now you: (pick one)?
a. Wait for a week, see if that person calls you first.?
b. Call the next day if not sooner.?
c. Call and text incessantly. Let them know they’ve made an impression.?
d. You’d never call. What if you get rejected?
Hmmm… I would probably go for b) call the next day if not sooner.

5. How did you handle your last relationship break up??
a. You’ve never been in a relationship before. The timing’s never been right.?
b. You went out and got drunk every night, until you forgot everything.?
c. You went out on a massive amount of date, even with people you knew you had no interest, making sure to date a new face every night.?
d. You felt bad and cried, but bounced back in a couple of days.
It’s been too long to remember, but it was probably d).

Bonus: Would you take a holiday all by yourself, at the ‘spur of the moment’? Why or Why not? Where would you go?
Yes, definitely.  Sometimes you just need to get away, and if the timing and price were right, I’d do it. I’d probably go to Hawaii or Las Vegas.

TMI Tuesday: Keep Calm and Answer Questions

1. For which one of the following do you need increased privacy:
a. Online interaction such as internet search and website interaction?
b. Sex?
c. Drinking or taking drugs (including marijuana use)?
d. Work
Hmmm…I’ll say b. Sex. I think you always need more privacy with kids in the house.

2. What decade in life were you most happiest with your sex life? Why? For example: teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, etc.
Probably my 30s. I think that’s when I was the most adventurous and tried more new things than any other time.

3. What is the sexiest TV show you have watched in the last year? Why is it sexy to you?
It has to be True Blood. I rewatch this series from time to time and watched it again from the beginning last year.  The vampires (and yes, I mean Eric) are so hot, and so are Jason, and Alcide…the list just goes on and on.

4. What sex scene, from a movie, would you like to recreate?
Most of the sex scenes in the movies I watch are in horror movies (go figure). But I always thought the scene at the beginning of the Hunger, with Susan Sarandon, Catherine Deneuve, and David Bowie in bed, would be an awesome one to recreate.

5. Your sex life is to become a reality series. Which of the following titles best fits:?
a. “Too Big To Fail”?
b. “Years of Solitude”?
c. “A Visual Guide for the Perplexed”?
d. “Yes please, Any Time and Anywhere”
Oh, d. for sure.

Bonus: The Late Phoenix would like to know your family’s secret recipes because he is hungry and thirsty all the time. Please share.
Ha – well, if I told you, they wouldn’t be secret recipes any more, now would they? But I will give you a good recipe for prune pierogies:
For the filling:

  • 30 pitted prunes
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

For the dough:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • boiling and cold water

Add prunes, sugar, and lemon juice to a pan filled with water and bring to a boil. Cover and turn off the heat, resting for 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Combine flower and salt in a bowl with 3/4 cup of boiling water, mixing together.  Let rest for 10 minutes.  Add 1/4 cup of cold water and mix, then cover and let rest for 10 minutes.  Knead the dough until it’s smooth.  Roll out the dough to 1/8” on a floured surface. Cut circles out of the dough with a cookie cutter and place on waxed paper until ready to fill.

Drop  a prune into each center and pinch the edges closed (forming a 1/2 circle). Crimp with a fork on both sides for a decorative touch . Boil for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pierogies float. Strain, rinse, and serve with the topping of your choice. Enjoy!

TMI Tuesday: Fill In The Blank

1. I am too busy to get half the things done that I want to.

2. Last week I did not do TMI Tuesday because …well, I did do TMI Tuesday last week. I usually only miss if I’m on vacation and don’t have access to a computer.

3. Last week’s TMI Tuesday’s questions were a bit tricky at times.

4. Life’s achievements and hopes depend on dreams.

5. Virgin olive oil.

Bonus: The more you learn, the more you know, the more you know, the more you forget. The more you forget, the less you know. So why bother to learn?

Your thoughts? Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

I don’t think that’s true at all. It’s not like you’re ending up with less knowledge than you start with, and what you’re forgetting is information you haven’t used and is just wasting space in your brain. It’s always best to keep learning and growing.

TMI Tuesday: Choices, Bonds & Significant Others

1. Are you “in love” with your significant other or are you simply compatible? Scientist claim that being “in love” only last within the first six months of a relationship.
I would say we’re mostly compatible, and also in love, although I think that love has changed over the years.

2. Do you solve problems with your significant other (s.o.) or are you the real and only problem solver? A relationship has a stronger bond when both people in the relationship work toward resolving issues whether it be with kids, finances, management of home, etc.
I am usually the only problem solver, although, depending on what the problem is, we may solve it together.

3. If you live with your s.o. do you both do chores and have equal amount of chores in the household? Research shows resentment mounts in couples who have an imbalance in household chore duties.
Yes, we both do chores…and I would say they’re pretty equal.

4. Is your relationship meaningful to you for companionship or is it personally fulfilling?  Marriage in the U.S.A. has changed over time from being for survival (home, food), to companionate love during most of the 20th Century, to 1960s to present being about personal fulfillment.
Hmmm…I would say it’s more companionship now, and it’s changed over the years.

5. In general do people think of you as a “couple” with your s.o. or do they connect with you individually just as much as a connecting with you as a couple. (Do you feel you’ve lost your individuality since being in a serious romantic relationship?)
It depends. There are some people who only think of us as a couple, and others that connect with each of us individually.

Bonus: You are invited to a large cocktail party at a fancy country club where you know no one. When you arrive, the room where the party is being held is already half full of people–naked people. How do you react when you enter the room?
Well that would be interesting! I would take a look around and see what was going on, and then, if I decided it looked like fun and I wanted to stay and play, I’d get naked and mingle.

TMI Tuesday: Which One?

By Jaykayfit (Own work) [CC BY-SA 3.0], via Wikimedia Commons

Pick one and explain.

1. Would you rather have a real-life, actually working light saber or Wolverine’s claws?
Hmmm…the claws would be cool, but I think the light saber might be more useful.

2. Would you rather watch all episodes of old time TV show Ultra-man or all episodes of the original Power Rangers?
Oh, definitely Ultra-man. Those are much better than the Power Rangers.

3. Would you rather do 3 minutes of planks or run a half-mile?
Well, they both suck. But the planks wouldn’t be nearly as bad as running.

4. Would your rather bite all your significant other’s toenails or shave your head?
Totally shave my head. Hopefully it was around Halloween, and then I could go dressed as Lieutenant Ilia.

5. Which can you do better, give oral sex or finger/hand-job?
I give a mean hand-job, but I prefer to give oral sex, and I think I’m rather good at it.

6. Do you prefer to be on top or bottom, for missionary style sex?
For missionary? I like to be on the bottom then. But I do like cowgirl a lot.

Bonus: This week’s bonus question courtesy of Nero – “Have you ever masturbated to your own blog?”
No, but I hope some of my readers do.
