Kute and Kinky

While I’m amassing quite a collection of cuffs, mostly leather, I don’t have a lot of regular handcuffs.  It’s not that metal cuffs don’t appeal to me, but they are not as comfortable to wear for any length of time.  When I saw the Pink Fur Handcuffs from Pipedream at EdenFantasys, they looked like they could be fun and comfortable, so I decided that I had to try them.

The cuffs come packaged in an easy to open box and are visible through the front.  They look cute and unintimidating.  The back of the box has some general product information.
The cuffs are standard handcuffs.  They are made of metal and have a ratchet closure.  At their widest (on 1 ratchet) they are 2 3/4″ on the long diameter and 2” on the short diameter, so they will fit a fairly good sized wrist.  They can be ratcheted smaller as needed.  The cuffs can be released by using one of the two included keys.  They can also be opened if you lose the keys by using the quick release lever.  This lever is located right by the keyhole – simply press it up and hold it to open the cuffs.  The handcuffs are connected by a 2” chain which seems securely attached to each cuff and is short enough not to allow your hands to move much at all.

The faux fur tube is a pretty, light pink.  It’s 7” long and can be slipped entirely off  if you want to use just the metal cuffs.  You can also use it as a pattern if you want to make your own fur tubes in different colors.  The fur provides some cushioning against your wrists when the cuffs are on, but the tubes are thin and the metal can still be felt through the fur.  It does eliminate the metal chafing or cutting into your wrists.

The metal cuffs are easy to clean.  They can be wiped with a damp cloth if necessary and dried.  The fur can be removed and washed in a laundry bag in the washer and dried on low in the dryer.

So, Do They Work?  They do, although they’re not nearly as comfortable as I expected them to be.  The fur is pretty thin and when my husband tightened these around my wrists I didn’t have as much padding as I thought I would.  They were definitely more comfortable than just metal cuffs, though.  They did keep my hands secured both in front and behind, and my husband was able to open them both with the key and the quick release lever.  I’m glad they have this feature – I can just imagine the key getting lost.
I liked that the fur came all the way off.  This way I can replace it with a color and thickness of my choosing, so the cuffs will be a matching accessory to our play than just with pink.
Overall these cuffs were fun and a bit of a change  to our bondage play.  I purchased mine at EdenFantasys, and if you’d like to try a pair for yourself, you can buy these by clicking on the widget below.

Shoot To Thrill!

Normally I’m a fan of single bullets. It’s easier to control one than two and I like to have a larger insertable. The Hi-tech Bullet Collection intrigued me with its different sizes, however, so I decided to pick this up from EdenFantasys and give it a try.

The Hi-tech Bullet Collection comes in a cardboard box with the product visible through the front. The back shows 8 different attachments that are available for the controller, and the ones provided are checked. Inside my box were the controller, the g-spot bullet, and the small bullet in a matching vibrant, semi-transparent purple.

The small bullet is 2 1/2″ long and 3/4″ wide. It has a seam around the middle that can be felt by your finger, but not during use. The surface is smooth and has just a bit of drag. A ring on the end around the cord makes the bullet waterproof. The cord is 19 1/2″ long from the base of the bullet to the top of the jack.

The large g-spot bullet is 5” long with 3” insertable, and has a diameter of 1 1/8”. This bullet also has a center seam which can be felt with a finger but isn’t noticeable during use. The tip has a hook to stimulate the g-spot. The surface is the same, smooth with a bit of drag. This bullet features an 18 1/2″ cord.

The bullets should never be used anally as neither has a flared base.

The controller for the Hi-tech Bullet is 6” long and 2” wide at its widest point. It’s comfortable to hold. The front has 2 double buttons to control the bullets separately. Pressing the top of each button goes up through the levels and pressing the bottom of each cycles down. There is no dedicated off button, so you’ll have to cycle through all the levels to turn each bullet off.

The controller also has a numbered display panel with the vibration levels (1 through 10) labeled and a small led light next to each. The LED lights move up to indicate which level you’re on, and flash or glow according to the pattern in blinding red. The two jacks are at the top of the controller, to plug the bullets (or any other bullet with a mini jack) in. The controller can be used with either one or two bullets.

The battery compartment is accessed from the back of the controller. It holds 4 AAA batteries, and their direction is clearly indicated. You’ll want to insert the bottom left battery first – otherwise it’s a bit tricky to get in.

The back of the controller also has the vibration guide. It lists each number and a short name for each. The functions (which are the same for each bullet) are:

1 – Foreplay (6 long pulses, 6 medium pulses, fast pulses for about 5 seconds, repeats – low speed)
2 – Tease (8 medium pulses, steady for about 5 seconds, repeats)
3 – Arouse (20 fast pulses, low steady about 2 seconds, high steady 3 seconds, repeats)
4 – Zoom (steady, from low in 4 steps to high, repeats)
5 – Wave (high and steady for 5 seconds, then med, then low, repeats)
6 – Pulsation (long pulses)
7 – Vibration (fast pulse 8 sec, steady 2)
8 – Random (random speed pulse patterns and intensities)
9 – Racer (high fast strong vibration)
10 – Climax (pulses and steady vibration, repeats)

What’s interesting is that there’s only 1 level that’s a steady, high vibration – the rest are patterns of some sort. The bullets can be set independently, so if you like high and steady vibrations clitorally and a pulse pattern internally you can set the one to 9 and the other to 6. With both bullets running there is no noticeable drop in power to either. There really are 100 possible vibration combinations when both bullets are used.

The larger bullet has vibrations that are deeper and throbbier, while the smaller bullet is more buzzy.  They aren’t terribly noisy, and probably won’t be heard by anyone if you’ve got some background music or noise on.

The bullets and controller are made of plastic, so they are phthalates free, hypoallergenic, and non-porous. The bullets are waterproof, the controller is not, so this isn’t safe for the shower or bath. The controller should be wiped with a damp (not wet) cloth and dried, taking care not to get water in the jack holes or the battery compartment. The bullets can be washed in warm water and antibacterial soap and dried.

So, Did It Work? I liked this bullet set quite a bit.   It was great to be able to set each bullet at a different level. The small bullet worked well clitorally (on 9), while I liked most of the vibration patterns on the g-spot bullet. I found that bullet to be a bit short to really stimulate my g-spot, but it didn’t feel bad internally.  I would have liked it to be about an inch longer for easier manipulation.

I did like that I could use other bullets and small jack toys with the controller, which provided more variety. I  hooked up a vibrating anal plug that I have which was a lot of fun on the pulse patterns.

I would have preferred a dedicated on/off button for both bullets – I hate having to cycle down through levels to turn something off.  Also a bit more power – while the vibrations are moderately strong, for me stronger is almost always better.

Overall, this is a fun and useful set. I got mine at EdenFantasys, and you can purchase one for yourself by clicking the widget below.

Goin’ Down

The Sexis Naked Reader Book Club featured four books in June on the theme of oral sex. While two of the books were erotic fiction, the other two were guides to performing oral sex both on a man and on a woman. One of the books I chose to review this month from EdenFantasys was The Ultimate Guide to Cunnilingus.

The Ultimate Guide to Cunnilingus (How To Go Down on a Woman and Give Her Exquisite Pleasure) is written by Violet Blue and published in 2002 by Cleis Press. It’s an oversized paperback (9” x 6”) and 182 pages long.

A small section about the author is included, introducing Violet as a sex columnist, editor, and sex educator. Other sections include book and video references and an illustration list.

In the forward, Violet talks about the research she did before writing this quide, including sending out surveys to over 150 people. Quotes from the survey are sprinkled throughout the book.

Five of the chapters feature short stories by Alison Tyler about cunnilingus. I have read a few of Alison’s stories in other books and really enjoy her writing. Her stories here are quite good as well, and I found them to be the highlight of this book.

The Ultimate Guide to Cunilingus is divided into 12 chapters. The first two chapters elaborate on giving and receiving oral sex, how it can increase intimacy, and the four common fears that people have about receiving oral sex. Chapter 3 is a tour of the female anatomy, both inside and out, while Chapter 4 covers STDs and risks during cunnilingus and rimming, safer sex practices, and how to make safer sex erotic. Chapter 5 covers the basics of waxing and shaving as well as smell, taste, and menstruation.

Chapters 6 through 9 are where the meat of the book is. Chapter 6 talks about getting started, how to get your partner to try it, and games you can play to make her more receptive. Chapter 7 contains techniques for licking and other stimulation for her pleasure. Positions, penetration, and sex toys are all covered in Chapter 8, while chapter 9 goes into advanced techniques.

The last 3 chapters contain book and video suggestions, online and offline resources, and references if you want more information on pleasuring a woman.

While I found this book informative and easy to read, much of the information was geared towards those new to performing cunnilingus, or performing it on a new and possibly reluctant partner. I will only ever be the recipient, but I hoped that the techniques presented might offer my husband some ideas (although he doesn’t really need any assistance or suggestions in this area).

I wasn’t sure if he’d actually want to read it or just have me suggest some of the techniques that sounded just a bit different that I wanted him to try out. Surprisingly he eagerly flipped through it, until he discovered that illustrations didn’t mean photographs. At that point he turned it back over to me and told me just to tell him what to try. He didn’t have any trouble following my directions, although it was mostly a variation on what he already does to perfection.

The Ultimate Guide To Cunnilingus is great for those new to this oral art. There’s a lot of good information, and Violet covers just about everything you need to know to make your partner incredibly happy.

It Leaves A Good Taste In Your Mouth

For June, the theme of the Sexis Naked Reader Book Club was oral sex. One of the books I received for review from EdenFantasys for the book club was Tasting Him, a collection of short stories focused on blowjobs from Cleis Press.

Tasting Him is 184 pages and published in 2008. This is an oversized paperback (8” by 6”), with a black and white photo of a man and woman on the cover which is repeated on the back. It contains 23 short stories by different authors, all of whom have a short author biography at the end.

This book is edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel. Rachel is the editor of over 20 erotica books, and she’s also had her stories published in numerous anthologies. She has written for many publications, including Bust, Cosmopolitan, the New York Post, and Penthouse, and even appeared on the Martha Stewart Show. Rachel provides an introduction to the stories that she has selected, and she also has one of her own in the collection.

The first and third person stories included in this collection mostly feature heterosexual couples, although there are a few that feature homosexual couples and one that involves a threesome. Some of the cocks are flesh and blood, while others are of a manmade variety. The characters range from reluctant but interested to enthusiastic, new to blowjobs to pros at giving head.

How different can blowjob stories be? Quite a bit, it turns out. Whether it’s teachers and students, food, masters and slaves, friends and lovers or husbands and wives, each story sets a tone for a pleasurable (for its participants) encounter.

I found some of the stories a bit bland or not to my taste, while others were erotic and arousing. Some of the stories I highly enjoyed involved a bit of fantasy and also had some scenarios that would be fun to try.

In “Quite A Mouthful: Confessions of a Sweet Cocksucker” by Tish Andersen, a woman shopping in a sex store fantasizes about the hot blowjobs she gave her lover during some bondage sessions.

“This Just In” by Heidi Champa tells the tale of a girl who gives a blowjob to her guy while he pretends to read the news on set.

In “Without Eyes” by Terry Pray, a woman is sharp to her master and forced as atonement to give him a blowjob without the use of her hands or eyes.

“Frosted” by Kristina Wright presents the art of the blowjob with cinnamon roll icing.

“Tony Tempo” by Tsuarah Litzky tells the sad yet satisfying tale of an old “horn dog” who finds love in a nursing home.

By far the most wildly erotic story in this collection for me was “Prego” by Alison Tyler. In this hot tale, a wife catches her husband fucking a jar of Prego sauce while he’s cooking dinner and guests are waiting in the dining room. A sloppy (although tasty) blowjob follows, with the risk of discovery providing extra sexual tension.

If you enjoy stories about oral sex, this is a good collection to check out. There’s a little bit of everything here, and while not all of it may be to your taste, you’re sure to find several stories that arouse you.

Thank you to EdenFantasys for sending this to me for free to review! You can check out the Sexis Naked Reader Book Club this month for more great selections featuring oral sex. If you’d like to read Tasting Him you can get your copy from EdenFantasys.

Blinded by Beauty

I’m enamored with the Spartacus Divinity collection. The collar and cuff sets (both ankle and wrist) are so lovely together.
Leather blindfold with faux fur inner lining and elastic band to adjust the blindfold.Fax fur lined leather collar.Leather wrist cuffs with faux fur lining and velcro closures.Leather ankle cuffs with faux fur lining and velcro closures.
I don’t wear blindfolds a lot, but sometimes they’re fun for our sensory play or bondage scenarios. I decided to complete my set and get the Spartacus Divinity Blindfold from EdenFantasys.

The Divinity Blindfold comes in easy-to-open packaging, and is visible through the front. The blindfold is folded in half, but comes out of the case and flattens out easily, with minimal creasing over the nose. It has a light, pleasant leather smell.

The blindfold is made of white fine-grained leather, and it looks pretty and feminine. The leather piece is 8” wide from end to end, with 3 1/4″ eye covers. It narrows to 1 1/2″ over the nose. A cluster of three dark blue jewels, the same as on the cuffs and collar, are set in a cluster on the right side. These jewels are set in metal, which does have a nickel coating. The front has blue straight stitching that runs around the outside about 1/8” from the edge of the leather and gives the blindfold an attractive color accent. The stitches are even and seem secure.

The back of the leather is lined with baby blue faux fur, which is soft and smooth on the skin. The stitching can be seen a bit around the edges of the fur, but it is not overly noticeable or detracting.

The Divinity Blindfold is held on to your head by a white elastic band, which is 3/4″ wide and about 14” long. It’s very stretchy, and should expand to fit most head sizes comfortably.

If necessary, the blindfold is easy to clean. The leather can be spot cleaned with a damp, not wet cloth, and a leather cleaner can be used for conditioning. The faux fur can be cleaned with soap and water and blotted dry, taking care not to saturate the fur or the leather. The blindfold is best stored flat.

So, Did It Work? Most definitely! This blindfold really completed the look I was going for with the Divinity set. It was comfortable to wear, fit my face well, and I really liked the feel of the fur against my face and closed eyes. I tried it with my eyes open and I wasn’t able to see anything under the eye pads, but this isn’t something I’d wear with my eyes open underneath. The only trouble I had was if I moved my head a lot while lying on my back. This tended to move the elastic out of place and cause the blindfold to slip up. This is a well-made piece, and I expect to use it for a long time to come.

I purchased the Divinity Blindfold from EdenFantasys. If you’d like to purchase one for yourself, you can get one by clicking the widget below.
